Quick question. Who would you rather get the most targets on this offense? When the game is on the line. I know my answer. Devanta. With AJ here he's underutilized and is forgotten for games at a time. When the game is on the line I want Devanta to be the 1st option and to get a lion's share of the targets. AJ is not totally needed on this team if we restock here correctly.

But I’ve also said this, I think some of his issue is related to his last big payday after 2026. Because he knows at the end of 2026, he only has $4 million in guaranteed money. I think if you gave him an extension, some of his unhappiness would go away. Not all of it but some of it. That said I don’t see the Eagles being the team that wants to give him an extension at 30.

I'd also add it's not just WIP chatter or that felon guy saying stuff. It is them, but it's also Tim McManus and Zach Berman, two guys who don't just promote for clicks, put out hot takes or make things up. They are reporting and talking about it because it's a real issue no matter how much people want to pretend it's not.

Not really. I think it's just getting Davis and Goedert on long term deals to soften the blow in the near term. He's already pressed that "easy button" with everyone else. Maybe you can squeeze an extra mil or two with Mailata's deal, would have to check but I think we're running pretty low on options here.

Yea that’s the concerning part is the reliable reporters are feeling a vibe about the situation. Usually they don’t just say things to say it. Could they be wrong? Yeah they could. But usually those guys are more accurate. if McLane says something i tend to believe it’s coming from someone inside the organization. Although he hasn’t said much on it or i missed it.

Like I said, I don’t want to trade AJ Brown, the talent. I love him as a player. But at this point if they have to, I start looking at what teams around the league could use him and what I could get that helps my team in the future and now. That’s why I mentioned buffalo with the made up offer i put out there. and New England. Cause they have players that you could get to come back and draft pick(s) that can solve a hole and you get a draft pick.

you and vikas are better at this than I am, but I’m sure the Eagles would’ve loved to have given hurts an extension if he played well enough and the offense looked well enough to do it. Cause I’m guessing they could’ve gotten his cap number lower to give them more cap space

It all depends on the board. The last thing I want them to do is take OL because they think they HAVE to even if the talent doesn't match the pick slot. If the WR on the board is clearly the better prospect, you take him.

Best draft position is always to be in position that you can take BPA.

It certainly feels like the Eagles are waiting something out for the OC. It would be odd for them to decide that Kafka who they interviewed a week ago is the guy at this point.

Hard to say. He has a non guaranteed option bonus of $50M in 2026. If you could convince him to write that off completely and replace it with a smaller signing bonus and guaranteed options in future years, yea you could lower his cap number. I'm just not sure how those negotiations would go.

I don’t like this with Parker coming in, that and Q Williams and Whitecotton are pretty tight.

Parker I think will be fine but I don’t wanna lose a really good coach that can make his transition to DC less stressful.

And make Smith the primary focus of defenses without a legit WR2 and watch what happens. Teams can also focus on the run and not worry.

Again, you aren't drafting that guy high without pushing off OT, TE, or CB2 or OG or S or edge.

Nah. Stick a guy with decent speed opposite Devonta and no one will notice the difference. AJ isn’t scaring anyone over the top anymore. (Not the version we saw this season anyway)
