So far she's said Daboll is going to take OC job in TEN if not HC or maybe not. She said Smith was talking to Eagles but didn't bother to report it before he took another job. What type of secret agreement has you reporting things after they are irrelevant

Ultimately what matters is that the guy they hire is good. Lurie is notorious for kicking a lot of tires and quite frankly for missing on some of their first few picks. It gets antsy as time goes on.

I said days and days ago that this will drag on long enough that fans start to think they are waiting for someone still in playoffs. Then, that team will get out, or after the super bowl, we still dont land that guy. Everyone else will have already been hired, and we will settle for a Cooter or Nagy and say we got our guy. Fans will freak.

Its not like we havent seen this play out a million times before.

I can promise you they’re not offering everyone they interview a job. We haven’t heard anything about really how any interview has gone. You think ppl like Cooter, Kafka and Nagy have turned the birds down? Highly unlikely. McDaniel and Daboll are going after HC positions first. And who knows, supposedly the lions passed on McDaniel bec he wanted his own staff and they felt that staff would be gone after one year when he inevitably left. If the birds are looking for stability, I bet that is a reason they aren’t landing these big names.

To be fair the Eagles talk up the guy they get but they don’t really posture the person as their top choice all along typically.

We’ll see I think they are waiting out the HC hires especially with Brady. Thomas Brown from pats is only guy on the remaining teams that has play calling. Schelhasse might get Browns job

I think if Wetjen wasnt necessarily on your want list, you just have to add him. He again looks completely unguardable.

Both the Oregon DB, and WR look pretty consistently good.

Zavion Thomas, WR from LSU is looking pretty good and I made him a thread yesterday in IWTETG because he scores TDs on punt AND kick returns as well.

Unfortunately Marcus Allen, 6'2'' CB from North Carolina has a rough session here, but Im still gonna be interested in him late round UDFA territory for practice squad. Production as a tackler, and PDs with excellent size.

If Anyone thinks the Eagles have talked to 8-10 candidates and just had to get them some Arthur Smith but he spurned them for Ohio State...
