No he was great. Imagine how much better his numbers would look too if AJ didn't get called for the pushing off penalty on the first drive and if Dotson's knee doesn't go down before the ball crosses into the endzone. Even without that he had a great game through what was essentially 3 quarters.

no. he was good.

Payton is a good offensive coach who knows how to make things easier for a QB.

too bad the eagles don't have that

Payton could've challenged the spot if we was okay with burning a timeout

What was with that random "it’s ok to be fat” commercial just slipped in there?

I think the commercial was sponsored by one of those pharmaceutical companies hawking obesity drugs, a bit ironical.

How do you not kick the FG there to go up 10?

Stupid to not take the points

would've taken the points but if the defense stops them again, they'll have good FP

Horrible play call on 4th and 1

With a backup QB and a good D you take the points

I was fine with going for it but didn't like the play

You have the best defense in the NFL, and have them pinned back.

Tbh he really should’ve tried to draw the Patriots offside, then called the timeout or thrown the flag. So at least if you try to draw them off sides and if you get them you get it anyways. And if you don’t, you can challenge it and then if you get it, you keep your challenge and the time out. And if you don’t, you just get called for a timeout.

Who's that #97 making plays? 😉

Remember that this is not Maye facing the Texans in his building with his fans with normal air to breathe.

The Houston D probably has better Madden Ratings and DVOA but this is a much harder test for him.

CJ Stroud made it real easy on him last week.

And if he didn't throw that dumb pick.

Dumb pick? Was hit as he threw on 3rd and 10 and it pinned the Chiefs down at the 2 yard line.

Yeah, I don’t mind the aggressiveness. I hate the play call. New England wants stidham to have it on his shoulders and throwing it. They’ll tip their cap to him if he does it.

I put a breakdown of recent QB Super Bowl MVPs earlier. He was great and especially in the context of other Super Bowl MVP QBs.

The NFL is so weird. You stand near someone and look at them and yell, YEAH BUDDY! ... 15 yards.

The play is dead the QB is on the ground, you reach down and yank the ball away from him... not a penalty.

It's a step back to the past with a guy who will not be creative. Better than KP but they had a chance to get someone exciting. It's a disappointment

Agreed. There's nobody exciting left except Brady though.

FTR, Dick Lebeau is in the HOF as of 2010. And there's really no rules that a DC can not be inducted. It's just rare. And there's special cases. Solid chance for Spags being the exception. Had a stint as a headcoach for the Rams which can help his case. And he can be "worthy" of it and still not get in. TBD

Vince Lombardi and Tom Landry were coordinators. Their HC is not in the HoF.

Yeah, I know.

I would like to say my hatred for Matt Nagy isn’t because he’s involved in the Eagles OC search. It is in general. I don’t think he’s a very good coach. Skippy touched on some of it. Also if you can’t get the top OCs you really wanted, but you like someone who’s young and doesn’t have the experience then I would go with the young up and comer. I’d rather go Doyle or Weiss jr. Tbh I’d go Weiss jr over Nagy simply cause the NFL is using a lot of the stuff from college. So getting a guy who’s done at the highest level in college and had success, then I believe he can incorporate some of that stuff from college level.
