The way that was framed, not sure the Eagles even interviewed Weis Jr. Says they "spoke to him"

I'd guess he wasn't seriously being considered.

Also Vikings were looking to add Frank Smith as O-line coach

This feels like "I’m not going to get the job so I will remove my name from contention.”

Or screw working for Nick I'll be a HC soon

A day later and I still can't tell if they gave him extra padding to look even fatter. Is he wearing shoulder pads? Is it supposed to be Billy Bob from Varsity Blues? Is it Peter Griffin as a young man? What in the world was this?

You’re thinking too much of it. It’s just saying fat people have feelings too

Wasn’t the McDaniel one vague too?

Listening to Caplan and he said the word around Doyle was he’s a little green and is leaning toward going back to Chicago.

That makes total sense. People fell in love with the Ben Johnson part but like Grizzard was last year it would probably be too soon for a play calling role especially in a place where stumbling out of the blocks could get ugly

I don't know why he'd take the Eagles job. The NFL loves coaching trees. As long as he coaches under Johnson teams will covet him just by association. So he'll always have interest as long as he's under him. If he comes here and doesn't do well, his coaching career is completely derailed. Back to square one.

Can’t find myself rooting for the pats but it would be nice to see big Milton win back to back.. former eagles on both teams

Same with Scheelhasse but even more so with him. He’s already getting HC looks under McVay. No need to be OC in a tough spot. Could hurt more than help

Besides, if LaFleur gets the Cardinals job, he’s in line for a promotion in LA.

As OC.

I mean they had a new HC and he didn't want to keep the prior OC. Hafley also worked with Slowik with the 49ers. It's not like KC not bringing back Nagy. I like Smith's background. He was an OL coach in New Orleans. He has also coached TEs. He probably would help the Eagles better mesh the run game with the passing game.

But I'm honestly confused. It looks like he has shoulder pads on. Am I nuts?

Still waiting to hear Eagles interviewing Brady or Scheelhaase

I would take that to mean he had no real interest in the job.

I mean there's gotta be an inside reason that McDaniels isnt interested in coming here. either that or he just doesn't want to work with a coach like Nick

He doesn't like the weather.

Seahawk fans are insufferable too. The only good thing about a Patriots win would be that they would no longer be tied with the Steelers for the most Super Bowl wins.

You know your search isn’t going well when you’re reaching out to CJ Stroud’s QB coach

Rooney Rule I get it, but what about CJ Stroud’s performance would make anyone interested in his QB coach. Guess they’re just doing him a solid.

Maybe Udinski found out it’s Scheelhaase’s job and he’s also saving face?

When you put it that way…

Nah, the Eagles are getting background on Stroud before trading Hurts back home to Houston for him. 👀

Typically the way it works. I’m not sure how you go from Stefanski to Schelhasse and feel that great about it. That organization is a mess
