That felt like something they wanted to be out in front of but not necessarily the reality. I think they know what’s being said around the league. They’re not stupid. It’s why I think that narrative was pushed as hard as it was
Tuesday at 05:32 PM2 days The good news is if Daboll takes the OC job in Tennessee then the Packers OC stays put and Sean Mannion feels compelled to come here! 😤🥰
Tuesday at 05:32 PM2 days All of these people passing on the OC role here can be explained reasonably on why they preferred different spots or to remain in their current role. Unfortunately, so many people choosing those jobs over Philly as a whole speaks volumes as well.
Tuesday at 05:33 PM2 days Whoever we get will be better than Patullo, but this kinda feels like it felt when we hired Rich Scangarello.
Tuesday at 05:37 PM2 days It feels like the Nick Sirianni head coaching search. No one wanted the job then, they interviewed a million guys and settled on a guy who's been objectively successful, but who I also think sucks and is a product of Howie and good coordinators. But this is a theme that pops up too often for an organization this successful. That coaches don't want to come here. That should not be. OC candidates treat us like we're the Browns. They are probably going to end up hiring someone who was not even on their radar when the search started, much like Sirianni. That doesn't mean they can't be good. But it means at the very least, the guys THEY identified as best for their organization and offense, they will not be able to get. Not great. And a bad look.

Which feels like if the Eagles regress or stay status quo, there is a chance nobody is back in 2027 besides Stoutland and Fangio/his staff. Hard to sell an OC job when the stability of your head coach you work under is questionable and you don’t get full autonomy so future is dependent on that HC/teams outcome in 2026
Tuesday at 05:40 PM2 days 25 minutes ago, Sack that QB said:Howie and Lurie are a disgraceGood. I didn't want him any where near this team. And I am not sure Lurie and Howie did either. The guy is a notorious hot head who went completely berserk on Kafka numerous times last year. I know we wished Sirianni would have choked out Patullo last year but I never saw the fit
Tuesday at 05:41 PM2 days If we’re going to hire someone with no playcalling experience, I vastly prefer the former NFL QB turned QB coach archetype to the pass game coordinator one. So bring in Mannion or Davis Webb I guess.

I'm less concerned. Kellen Moore wasn't exactly a hot candidate 2 years ago. A lot of OC candidates likely don't want Hurts because they don't want to adapt their system to the QB. And I don't want those guys anyway.

Tuesday at 05:46 PM2 days I get the angst, but the good 2 offensive coordinators we've had recently were more young up and coming guys than retreads or internal hires. If things are really broken might as well try and find a young up and comer from a good coaching tree like Scheelhouse or Webb. Internal hire or Nagy I'm with you all in giving up hope. Someone like Shaw, Mannion or Cooter...meh willing to wait and see but pessimistic.
Tuesday at 05:51 PM2 days I think it has far more to do with the organizational structure than who the QB is. There is something about the setup of the Eagles candidates aren't liking.

First of all he is a cowboys fan and not a cool one like @Joe Ball. The first words out if his mouth was he couldn't believe how good the cowboys were this year and they should be in the playoffs because this was the best team they have had in a long time 😂.Then said Dak is the best QB in the league but has no one to throw to and told me not to say ceedee lamb because he is straight up garbage. Then said the league is rigged and that's why the cowboys weren't in the playoffs and that's why the eagles sucked all year@Joe Ball do you agree with this assessment? 🤣🤣In short, no, I do not agree with his assessment.TLDR;DAL was what they have been for a very long time, not good enough. I predicted their record long before the season started, with the exception of the tie, 7 or 8 wins.Dak was very good this year, is that a product of having two very good receivers? Playcalling/scheme? IDK, I think a lot of had to do with the fact they could run the ball more effectively this year, enough to open up the pass game a bit. He was definitely top 5 imo. He has the ability to make great decisions pre-snap that gets DAL out of some looks that would otherwise cause negative results. He still makes mistakes but more times than not he is going to make some impressive tight window throws, when your defense can't help you out much, you have to do more than you should as a QB, and that means taking risks. 99.5 passer rating 30 TDs to 10 INTs...if they had any kind of defense the season COULD have been much better...Cee Dee is not garbage but he did have his share of drops this year, seems like a lot of receivers not named JSN had their share of drops league wide this year. Is the league rigged? I don't think so. Are their questionable calls week in week out? Absolutely, but that is at very level of football, humans make judgement calls and not every human perceives what they saw the same. Is it a huge problem? I suppose it can be depending who you're cheering for and how open minded you can be. I honestly try and put myself on the other side of the call every time I watch a DAL game, or any game really, just flip it around the other way, and ask yourself if it was the right call? I don't get wrapped up in officiating it just doesn't make the outcome any better if you're on the wrong end of the score. I am a fan of the game, and I like to believe that I can watch any team/game and be objective, regardless of the outcome. They either played well and executed, or they made too many unforced penalties/errors to win that day. DAL lost games they shouldn't have, but they also won a couple they shouldn't have. I don't need copium to deal with DAL success or failure, they are what they are. IF and WHEN they make it to a NFCCG I might be more emotionally invested, but I wll never sell out my football knowledge and ability to be objective for any team, even DAL.
