Don’t even know why Patullo would wanna come back. Have some GD self respect. Go be a "pass game specialist” somewhere else.

I’m firmly in the camp of hire the best guy. I don’t care if he gets a HC job next year. I don’t care if it’s against what Sirianni wants. I don’t care if it’s against what Hurts wants.

I get it sounds extreme after winning a SB, but being the highest paid offense by far and to look that bad all year, it’s time to figure out who’s at blame and settle it. Vic has done a tremendous job but has masked a lot of the problems on offense at the same time.

Should have just let him go too

If you've got a good paying job, equity in a home, with no other offers on the table, best to keep it. If they offered him a position he should stay. Could be uncomfortable, but keeping your family secure is more important than self respect.

Monken was my top choice. 2nd choice was McDaniel

They'll probably hire Daboll though lol

Please

Game & season on the line. His 2 coaches just agreed with the play call in a sideline timeoutmeeting. He'd be going against both of them.

Better question: why didn't Nick the Head Coach change the play call or insist KP call something else?

Looked like KP called whatever he did. Nick looked at Jalen and said something like you good with that. Then went back to the huddle.

KP might have called the play but when Jalen gets to the line and sees something with the defense, why couldn't he change the play? Or just change one of the WR routes.

To Nick Foles point though his video was mostly against patullo, he said as the QB he had go to plays. Would go to the sideline and say I want to run this play here.

Not only does Hurts not seem to do that, but on that same note, it SHOCKED me that before the timeout, the eagles were VERY late to the line of scrimmage and Hurts was literally about to rush the play. They barely got lined up in time. He had next to no time to look at the defense. He was just going to run something, whatever. Rushed.

I thanked god Siri called that timeout before Hurts got that ball snapped. But thats something the QB should have done. He should have known he didnt have time to make sure that play looked good against the D. In that situation- potential last play of the season. It shouldnt be rushed. He was perfectly ok with rushing it. Thats horrible. Thate the extremely low football IQ that kills some of us with Hurts.

This is a QB with absolutely no command on the field. He is just a puppet doing what he is told. He has no concept of autonomy.

Seemed pretty autonomous when he decided to never keep the ball on zone reads.

Do you think Hurts is the level of QB that would take it on his shoulders and changed called play at the most critical moment of the season?...Nah if they called scramble 20yards backwards, close eyes, pray and throw it to the end zone with cloelsed eyes he would probably done it because that was called...

The board will freak out after the PC because Nick will surely say it's a collaborative effort with OC.

Do you mean to say that coaches need to have two black parents in order to be considered truly black in the context of the Rooney rule?

I think the Rooney rule is a clumsy effort by the NFL, that's of dubious value. Overall, I think the NFL is a meritocracy where the higher levels of coaching are filled by qualified people. Additional opportunities should be focused more at the lowest levels of coaching, where networking is more of factor.

Yeah the issue with trying to give him any autonomy is that he is clueless.

Irish aren't Italians, they are culturally different - although as Americans we likely have a lot in common that overcomes ethnicity.

A lot of them are still in denial thinking Howie/Lurie told him that the OC is taking over the offense completely

Maybe Hurts was OK with rushing it because when they blew that timeout it meant thet could no longer stop the clock.

The fact that they didn't have a play lined up and had to burn that timeout is absolutely inexcusable.

lol. If that play failed, IT WAS 4TH DOWN, that means there would be no scenario in which having the ability to stop the clock or not would matter after that play.

There was nothing more important in that moment than ensuring the play call was a good one, and lining up to check what the defense was showing, possibly having time to change things. There was absolutely no time, and Hurts was going to snap that ball, rushed. In that moment. Inexcusable.

Thank god the coach stepped in. Too bad they still called a bad play and then Hurts spazzed and threw it in to triple coverage instead of a 1 on 1 for DeVonta.

That timeout should have never been called! Is screwed them of one last chance to get the ball back.. if they were going to call the timeout they should have called the other two on offense and opened up the whole playbook for the series including runs and Jalen hurts taking off.

I honestly think Nick will be less involved with a strong hire but regardless he's always going to say it's collaborative no matter what

Yeah it was 4th down, but with all three timeouts they could have gotten the ball back.

But because numbnuts 1 & 2 couldn't get their play in on time, it meant that the 4th down play was the entire game.

It's piss poor coaching. Patullo was calling plays like they wanted to save all 3 for that very reason. But then they just burn it because they're incompetent.

If they wanted that drive to be all or nothing, then call some running plays. They probably didn't even talk about their timeout/playcalling strategy at all because they don't know what they're doing and their entire operation is amateur

It was literally down to their last play of the season. They HAD to make sure they got it right. You can not rush that play. Time out 100% called for in that moment.

Long overdue for some reports of interviews. McDaniel, Monken, Kingsbury, Daboll... let's get this show on the road.
