Freeling plays high without a lot of knee bend. Needs work. Not available at 23? Wow. I was thing day two at best. If he’s a mid round one pick this is not a good draft for tackles.

The guys with some polish seem to be guards, and the guys with the tools are either raw or need a year to build strength. Freeling moves well, stays balanced - idk seems like a typical late-1st/early-2nd rounder.

No. I’ve been on the side of "we should’ve fired him in 23’”…

With our roster. We should be going for that 3-peat right now

Reed is a great story, good player. But I think that $ will be better spent somewhere to upgrade the offense before they can offload some of those contracts, or at CB2.

I’d 100% bring Epps back. He’s a much better player than the contract he’s going to get, which will probably be next to nothing.

Reed for me is a comp pick FA type of player. Has done what was asked of him as an Eagle, but ultimately, you can't justify a contract renewal with other needs across the team. Epps and a rookie makes much more sense

I agree - at this point it seems to be what kind of market does Reed command, and if he is brought back cheaply how much of a resource in the upcoming draft are they looking to use to get a more interchangeable safety.

Looking at the FA safety market it’s actually one of the stronger areas

Epps is a fall back, but would definitely would prefer Reed as Mukuba & draftee get more experience.

From what I've seen he should test well, how quickly he can learn the trade is a bit more difficult to ascertain - definitely a WIP in terms of footwork as he doesn't have a jump step worked out, and his hands/punch need work.

There is a PSU OT that has been working with Duke Manyweather. I heard him mentioned in one video during shrine week so hasnt generated a lot of buzz yet. But sounded like an intriguing possible day 3 pick. Has all the size youd want, and working on honing his craft.

Theres also some Clemson OT that I insist looke awesome in shrine 1 on 1s and no one ever brought him up, ever. Im still not even sure his name because I think Clemson had more than 1 there.

yep. I posted a graphic in here a few days ago from a video that ranked the top 10 players in each free agent position. Reed Blankenship was their 8th ranked safety.

Some safeties get paid, but you dont see the 8th best guy getting a big contract at the safety spot, ever.

If the NFL sees it similarly, Reed isnt getting a big deal.

Even if he were to get say 10M average, the way Howie structures deals, that will cost us about 2 million actual cap dollars this year. His deal will be extremely doable to the point where no one should be worrying whether we should or shouldnt sign Reed. We probably should, and probably will because it will cost next to nothing even if his contract appears to be near the top of the market.

I still don’t understand why these local media outlets that are struggling pay to send people to Super Bowl when Eagles aren’t playing

Nolan Rucci and Tristan Leigh respectively?

If they can get there, they get a free pass - yes? Nice perk.

Maybe Drew Shelton for PSU. Has been a 3.5 year starter. Rucci has not played much college football. Spent three years at Wisconsin where he hardly played then transferred into PSU in 2024. One year starter. Shelton was always an athlete that needed more bulk/strength. I think he is from Downingtown.

Reed, Epps, and Mukuba is a solid Safety room. It's not great, but IMO, it's pretty good. It's a tough position to fill.

Rucci rings a bell for the PSU kid.

No idea on the clemson guy.

I do see Shelton has worked with Manyweather. But Rucci is the guy Im talking about.

Rucci generated a little bit of buzz at shrine. Former 5 star recruit. 6'8" only gave up 1 sack last year.

Manyweather shouted out Rucci on Sikkema's post below.

Box score watching - I think they kind of fit the very tall, good armlength but light mold... which begs the question, can they anchor, because if not that will make them borderline unplayable.

(thanks for the clips)

If he's good enough for Foles then we need to give this guy a fair shake. Foles has been around AR, Chip, Doug/Frank, and others, so he's obviously had exposure to a pretty diverse set of offensive schemes and philosophies.

Foles was just being positive imo. I wouldn't read much into it. And I mean that in a very neutral way.

I don't expect the Eagles to be very active or to do much in free agency, but some potential outside free agents I could see interesting them in the event they do a little more than we expect there

OL:

Isaac Seumalo

Mekhi Becton

Wyatt Teller

Alijah Vera Tucker

Tyler Lindenbaum - probably re-signed by Ravens and unlikely Eagles would pay two centers, but if they have long-term concerns with Jurgens he could be a staple.

Edge:

Joey Bosa

Kahlil Mack

Kwity Paye

Boye Mafe

David Ojabo

Safety:

Julian Blackmon

CJGJ

Geno Stone

Kamren Curl

CB:

Tariq Woolen

Alontae Taylor

Greg Newsome

TE:

Isaiah Likely

Kyle Pitts

WR:

Romeo Doubs

Olamide Zaccheaus

Rasheed Shaheed

They also cut off the part where Foles said his ascent to OC was faster than he thought and he sees it like giving the keys of a Lamborghini to a 16 year old.

Right and Foles wasn’t with him in the last 2 years of coaching and doesn’t know his relationship with LaFleur.

So ultimately I just view it as a nothing burger. Foles doesn’t know if he’ll be a good OC or not either way.
