They try to believe that the world needs to just be colorblind...it is almost always white middle-class individuals who have a very limited life experience and perspective. They will prove their lack of "racial prejudice" by stating "..."but many of my friends are people of color". It is not our job as white people to try to whitewash other people's experiences...everyone is entitled to their story and cultural upbringing and needs to be honored as such. The problem with the "rainbow" thinking is that it excludes and minimizes a person's personal and cultural experience. I will never tell a person of color that I understand, I will only tell them that I can empathize and try to understand. As an older middle class white male, I can safely walk into a Best Buy and pick up items in my hands and walk around the store without anyone paying attention...no one is going to follow me or hassle with me. I can probably walk right out the store with an item or two and then be able to explain myself away out of trouble. There was a recent police killing in a nearby town with an African-American young male, that started as a minor traffic stop and escalated....I have worked exclusively in low income communities and have experiences all demographics in California from urban containment zones (places where even the police stay away from) in Oakland to the farm working migrant communities in the Salinas Valley...it is not OK in our modern society to just say, "people are just people".opinion

Probably never will be.As such, itll always make sense to want a player we can count on in the post-season as long as this team is a contender.Embiid would be a nice player for a team like Charlotte. They can sell tickets to come watch the all time greatest scorer in the history of basketball. They have no real hopes of contending for a title so his lack of availability does not hurt them.

If he could have stayed healthy he would be one of the best of all time, but he can't. The best thing for the team is to trade him while his value is high because a few months ago we weren't sure if he was ever getting back close to this. It's not sustainable because he will get hurt again right before the playoffs. And dial back the drama. I wasn't saying he's only had minor issues. I was saying something always comes up that doesn't put him out for the year but has him diminished on the court and out in the 2nd round.

But I am a Sixers fan first and having his uncertainty on the team for the next 3.5 years is almost unfathomable. He had serious negative value just a couple months ago. If you can shave a year or two in term from his contract in a trade and acquire any kind of useful parts or picks in return how can you not jump on that?! This is clearly Maxey & VJ's team. Gotta accept reality here and not be pipe dreamers and hope for some kind of miracle. I dont have to trade him by this deadline necessarily. But certainly this offseason at latest. But he could be kaput by then. I'm all ears at this point on any Embiid trade. Sixers have been very shortsighted for so long (especially with Morey) and make deals that just keep us spinning our wheels. Time to play the long game.

The Raptors went on to win an NBA Championship with one good player, while Embiid has continued to do the best Tin Man impersonation on the planet

February 3Feb 3 Go back to this time last year and undo 3 moves the Eagles made up to this point in time and replace them with other moves. Within reason. Meaning they couldn’t have hired Kubiak as OC he was already taken. And within cap doability.1) Trade up for Josh Simmons as RT of the future instead of Campbell. I love Campbell, but they could re-sign Dean or draft a LB this year in a loaded class. They desperately need an OT of the future and a guy fell in their range last year who’d have gone much higher if not for the knee. I don’t think an OT available this year will be as good as him in their range, and you don’t want to replace Lane with any OT. The ideal is a drop off as small as possible.2) Hire an OC from outside the organization. Maybe Weis Jr? Pick your name. And give them full control of the offense.3) Draft a CB2 or an edge in round 2/3. Whether it’s trade up, trade down, etc. I think Campbell will end up being really good even though my first choice in this exercise is replacing him with Simmons. So I don’t think that pick will ever be viewed as bad, but I’m not sure how well the Mukuba and Robinson picks will age. Probably not great. Weakest draft they had in a while. As we saw with Epps it’s much easier to replace safety than some other positions and I think they’d be better positioned long term if they had better long term prospects at Edge or CB2 instead of safety in Mukuba and a DT in Robinson who probably won’t play much again in 2026.

My issue was there was like a four week period where she just kept saying the same thing over and over again. And there was no new information with it. That was my issue with Diana. Her reporting for like a month was the same thing over and over again with no new news to the story. If you have new information to add to it, then I would get it. But it was literally the same information for like a month before she got new information which was lurie talking As for the compensation, I have a harder time believing the Eagles are gonna trade him for a second round pick with the financial ramifications that come with it. I actually could see them getting a 1st in 2027 rather than taking a 2nd in 2026
