No thanks to that. Don’t force your religion on employees. Totally inappropriate in any other work setting

Dang, disrespecting the DC after what he just went through?

Cleveland gonna Cleveland.

This is taken out of context. Right before this clip he said how "it was a **** to go against him” the last 3 years and how much respect he has for Schwartz. He then transitioned that into how he wants to keep the same attacking style defense and how ultimately he cares about the players most. The reporters kept pressing him about Jim which is why he answered that way.

Give him a year or two in sin city

This is also the exact same thing Schwartz would say haha.

Monken seems solid. I’d rather have him than Stefanski and like half the guys hired this cycle

Go back to this time last year and undo 3 moves the Eagles made up to this point in time and replace them with other moves. Within reason. Meaning they couldn’t have hired Kubiak as OC he was already taken. And within cap doability.

1) Trade up for Josh Simmons as RT of the future instead of Campbell. I love Campbell, but they could re-sign Dean or draft a LB this year in a loaded class. They desperately need an OT of the future and a guy fell in their range last year who’d have gone much higher if not for the knee. I don’t think an OT available this year will be as good as him in their range, and you don’t want to replace Lane with any OT. The ideal is a drop off as small as possible.

2) Hire an OC from outside the organization. Maybe Weis Jr? Pick your name. And give them full control of the offense.

3) Draft a CB2 or an edge in round 2/3. Whether it’s trade up, trade down, etc. I think Campbell will end up being really good even though my first choice in this exercise is replacing him with Simmons. So I don’t think that pick will ever be viewed as bad, but I’m not sure how well the Mukuba and Robinson picks will age. Probably not great. Weakest draft they had in a while. As we saw with Epps it’s much easier to replace safety than some other positions and I think they’d be better positioned long term if they had better long term prospects at Edge or CB2 instead of safety in Mukuba and a DT in Robinson who probably won’t play much again in 2026.

Really only need to undo one move, but i'll do three.

One, never hiring Patullo. They hire Slowik (who was available at the time) and we're playing in the super bowl on sunday. Not that slowik is amazing, but he's an actual tested OC who made cj stroud look competent.

Second move would have been keeping Becton. Steen was fine in pass pro but he was a significant downgrade in the ground game.

Third keeping Rodgers. I know adoree Jackson got better as the year went on, but I think Rodgers would've been just as good earlier and maybe we could've had Jackson as depth.

I’d have told him two days later I traded the Bible for a deck of cards, because Jesus told me to. When he gets ****y about it, suggest to him he needs to go pray because he’s not living up to Jesus’ standards.

Any word on a Mannion introductory press conference?

Maybe. But lots of corporations ask folks use pronouns or throw pride support in email signatures during pride month. If they allow that, they gotta be okay with a bible. Fair is fair

Are the Seahawks asking that of their employees? That's where fair is fair would be appropriate, not one company requesting email signatures while another company hands out Bibles.

Eagles don’t do them. The last two years the new OC didn’t speak until OTA’s

Seattle Seahawks actively support pride by consistently supporting pride initiatives, per google. So yes, he should be able to pass out a Bible if he wants.

A business supporting actual gay people is not the same as forcing a religious book on employees. That is an extemely false equivalence.

Important development to monitor during the game. rolleyes

A business supporting one legal group but not another legal group is okay? My handing you a book is not the same as forcing you to read it or forcing you to do what it says.

We need a Rooney Rule for Christians, it's only fair.

Obviously yes. There are all kinds of legal groups out there. There are legal groups supporting atheism, satanism, voodoo and a million other things. Yes businesses 100% choose which groups they support

Coaches control playing time, roster spots, and can make or break careers. When someone in that position hands you religious materials, it's hard to not wonder if your response might affect how they view you.

If Kubiak passed out a Pride book, I bet you it would be controversial. Hell, the country is actively banning those books.

Comparing pronouns/pride stuff is making a false equivalence. Corporate diversity initiatives, whatever you think of them, aren't coming directly from your supervisor who controls your job prospects, and they aren't asking you to adopt specific religious beliefs.

I saw that. You know it's a boring SB week when Schefter is tweeting about a guy signing who wasn't even on an active roster last year

Glad we didn't go this direction

My ideal vision of a society is to treat skin color like hair color and not care about it or quantify it at all, but I guess that's wishful thinking. I think the world would be a better place if we stopped thinking about the immutable characteristics of humans. And not care at all about how many of X people or Y people work at a certain company or make up a certain organization.

Now people would counter that and argue "That's impossible as long as discrimination and hatred exist" and my response to that would be that as long as we continue to obsess about immutable characteristics, that will keep those things alive. And the best course of action is to stop caring about those things, and if someone engages in discrimination or hatred, you deal with it. But I think looking at every institution we have and asking "How many of X and Y do we have here?" is just an extremely toxic way to go through life. We should be beyond that in 2026. Coaches are just coaches, who cares what they look like.

If you believe that, then the solution is not diversity requirements but to actively root out boob people.

I like Reich, so I’m hoping I’m wrong, but everything about the 2026 Jets looks like a dumpster fire. I do not at all understand this move.
