I like Reich, so I’m hoping I’m wrong, but everything about the 2026 Jets looks like a dumpster fire. I do not at all understand this move.

Tua will probably be their QB. I don't foresee any problems.

I can understand it from Reichs perspective, he loves one year coaching deals

Reich has looked out of touch for a while sadly

Seattle Seahawks actively support pride by consistently supporting pride initiatives, per google. So yes, he should be able to pass out a Bible if he wants.

I agree. And I also think he has the temp of the room and would know how it would land. And he can support both LGBQT and his faith. Doesn't have to be either/or. Not all Christians believe that being LGBQT is a sin and an affront to the teachings of Christ. In fact, for Christ, LGBQT was alive and well, fully accepted as part of the Roman empire. He preached to and accepted all during his short life.

3 of those guys were in my free agent possibility list I posted.

Dallas may suck and hasn't made a championship game in 30 years, but they do have Jane Slater who is a total babe. She's stunning

So, as a Christian he believes that his faith has been instrumental in forming his moral framework and later success - not that there is anything wrong with that. I guess he should keep this secret closeted because it makes some people uncomfortable.

He can say and believe what he wants. You don’t distribute religious material in the workplace. If he was Muslim and sent everyone a Koran would you view it the same way?

Very odd. We are built to win now, you'd think we would want the veteran much like we have with Vic, but on the offensive side of the ball. Especially with his history here and with Siri. And the Jets, you'd think you would want the up and comer with no experience. Hope it all works out.

Jehovah's witnesses give me leaflets in the street, I'm not buying, but I don't get offended by it because I interpret it as inclusive. If some one gave me a Koran or a Bible at work, I think it would be odd given our culture but I wouldn't be offended unless this was taken to further degree where I believe I was being excluded based on my faith or lack thereof.

Yes, happy LII day to those who celebrate.

Looks like Loeffler is out if they're interviewing people. So that will be another change. Does the Rooney Rule apply to position coaches? I said yesterday if they're interested in Bevell and he doesn't get the Jets OC job, I would expect movement on that soon. If the Rooney Rule applies to position coaches they could be getting those out of the way before hiring Bevell(connection to McDaniel, Grizzard, Dolphins).

Yes it does to QB coach (need one interview). Logic being QB coach leads to OC leads to HC as a common path.

Interestingly Senger coached WRs at the Senior Bowl in 2024 and was the other offensive coordinator to the opponent of Mannion in the Shrine Bowl this year

Look to Loeffler why someone like Weiss Jr probably turned down the Eagles job. Loeffler leaves Bowling Green to take a QB coach job in the NFL and one year later appears to be out of a job.

Hard to get a read on QB coaches and how teams judge their performance. There wasn't anything glaringly bad that directly points to Loeffler. Say what you will about Hurts performance in 2025 but it's hard to see what to blame/praise the QB coach for. Unless he was in charge of third down designs or something which was legitimately awful.

Reid had David Culley as WR coach during the leanest of WR years but he was still considered a good coach. Hard to tell as you say. I think it makes sense for Mannion to get his own guy in there. Preferably someone familiar with the type of offense he wants to install

The more outside voices they bring in, I think the better. This is showing Mannion has a good amount of autonomy and hopefully we see a very different offense.

It seems like with how Loeffler coached Fannin at Bowling Green and how we utilized Goedert in the RZ, he may have played a part in that specific area which was very good and would be tough to lose. But that's just a pure guess.
