Why would we be in a rush to fire him?I have a lot of the same doubts about Nick as everyone else, but I'm not rushing to fire him to just hire another guy who is maybe a better head coach.Yeah but so did Stoutland and all the other coaches. They were a part of this too and they paid for it with their jobs. But Sirianni didn't.

Also, plenty in here this year with regard to Hurts and other things.I came in here today to check in on what people thought about Stoutland and see your normal crap with other posters and called you out just like a few others did. This happens several times a year and has been like that forever. Same thing happens when you venture into CVON these days and it happened all the time back in WU. Just keep being you my friend, all good.1 hour ago, justwinbaby said:You tell people they make things up then you go right to making things up. Except it's not made up to you because to you, your opinion is fact because you think that highly of your delusional opinions. Then you talk down to those who disagree with valid reasons and then you're confused when people call you out on all of it. It's pretty funny to watch. The way you defend Sirianni is the same way you hate Hurts. Just the complete opposite end of the spectrum. Speaking of the spectrum....Lots more talking about HE. You guys are obsessed!
February 5Feb 5 I'm just curious but could Mailata move to RT and we draft a LT if there isn't a great RT in the draft? Can someone ask JR. I may be on ignore but I would like to know if that was possible
February 5Feb 5 We also tipped run plays based on formation, alignment and meaningless motion. Does that fall more on Stoutland or the dip S playcaller continuing to call the same nonsense? And that doesn’t even include the Calcaterra usage. Howie shouldn’t be absolved of that either. Terrible TE room construction.

If he continues to fail to meet expectations, he'll be gone as well.
February 5Feb 5 I guarantee it wasn’t Stoutland’s idea to run meaningless motion on a that TE wing formation or whatever that averaged like 2 ypc and probably a negative median ypc

February 5Feb 5 I see a lot of "fire Siri” or "trade Hurts” on the boards, truly embarrassing. Fire Siri for who? Trade Hurts and start who? 11 wins and a division title isn’t exactly mediocre but I get the disappointment. What coach out there is coming in and winning 11 games off the rip? Just laughable. Oh and what qb? Aaron fing Rodgers or Flacco while we play draft games?

February 5Feb 5 I mean, since we are all just throwing out crap theories here with no real concept of what happened other than some gossip from people trying to sell clicks, I will throw something else out there.Maybe, after 13 years of being an o-line coach, he is tired of all the changing voices. He has been here under four head coaches (Chip, Shurmur (briefly), Pederson, and Sirianni) and 8 offensive coordinators. Mannion would have been the 9th coordinator he would have had to deal with in 13 years.I know I would be frustrated and want out of there as well. There is no damn consistent voice. For comparison, from 1999-2012, the Eagles had 1 head coach and 3 different offensive coordinators. This is just a reflection on Lurie. He needs to nut up and stop giving in to the outside pressure. Outside of a terrible losing season next year, he needs to stick with Sirianni, regardless of the backlash that could come. Maybe then we can keep the same offensive coordinator for more than a year and have some consistency for once. Fangio will probably be gone next year, so we will need to just worry about that.

I wouldn’t have made the OC choice based on Stout staying either. It’s more about how ugly things appeared to be last year with him, Sirianni and Patullo. It says a lot that our CEO head coach couldn’t smooth things over.
February 5Feb 5 Just now, NCiggles said:If he is under contract, does the team have to relinquish his rights for him to get hired somewhere else?Based off what i saw from a couple of reporters if a team (let’s hypothetically say the giants) offers him OL coach and run game coordinator since he stripped himself of that title it would be considered a promotion. How true that is? I don’t know. I just saw a couple reporters on Twitter last night discussing it saying it would.

He may not have preferred it but I have a hard time thinking he put his foot down over that. He coached at Alabama, he coached under Chip, he coached under Doug and went through the RPO and then coached under Nick. It's not like he's been in just one system his career. I also don't buy the retire angle which is why I said he essentially quit. Nothing in the Eagles statement or Stoutlands statement even hinted at retiring.

Terrible TE room construction.Howie is great with the salary cap, moving around the draft board, evaluating how much to pay which player nd things like that. I do not believe he is great at evaluating talent on is own. He relies on consensus from experienced personnel people. That is fine. Howie does not know football per se. He never played the game or coached and he would have difficulty breaking down film. Anybody knowing anything about football could see the condensed formations and the use of Calcaterra was a disaster from the first game to the last game. Yet Howie did not intervene. I don't care if he didn't want to step on Siri's toes. He needed to intrvene, demote Patullo and have Loeffler be the play caller. Instead Howie watched while the season went to hell.
