yeah people here keep saying it sucks they got him and Monken. I love it. Id love the division to be super competitive again.

Why? I like winning. They will still have to deal with the Lions/Bears/Rams/Hawks etc. I like them being trash.

Eagles bumping up the PC to 1:30 just so they can be late is classic Eagles

I was going to say that earlier when they pushed it

Steen is a tricky offseason problem to figure out that no one is talking about much. Ideally you just leave him there on his rookie contract and he plays better but I'm curious if they address that position to get an upgrade. I know everyone is going to say bring Becton back but signing another guy to an $8M-$10M deal seems like it's hard to fit with all the other free agents as well as holes on the team that need to be addressed.

I can't imagine Becton gets that much after how bad he was this year.

I like winning too. I also like the whole league being more competitive. Winning a super bowl this year is cheaper than if we would have won back in 2004 in an era of great QB play. NFL is week these days.

It would be great to be a really good team that actually came out of a great division. These 14 win teams this year who have played no competition because there basically is no competition to play- not so entertaining.

He should be super cheap. And he may not even be any good. But Im definitely willing to bring him back and give him another try.

Having him back even if it only ends up being depth because a rookie plays well would be huge. I really think they can turn that line around quickly. Not like it was, but it can be good.

Nick is like I'm staying involved.

I read it the opposite way. He said he wants to be the head football coach.

Roseman with a bit of a dance around the question and not really answer it when asked about trading AJ.

The two best answers were Nick saying the team is at its best when he’s the head coach and Howie saying they want to hire the best OC regardless if the guy may be a HC a year later.

If he's right and Stefanski doesn't get a job, part of me wouldn't like that because I don't really want him as OC and I think he'd be Lurie's top choice, just a gut feeling. If nothing else, I want to see if Hurts can run a Shanahan style offense with McDaniel and then Stefanski would absolutely be gone in a year where I'm not sure McDaniel would be given how badly he bombed with the Dolphins.

I'm not watching the PC, but keep in mind that any answers about Nick's involvement in the offense were carefully scripted and prepped between him, Lurie, Howie, and a publicist already. They'll be asked the same question 15 different ways about how involved Nick vs the new OC will be, final say, fit for Hurts....

pull string, regurgitated answer, repeat.

I want the Cowboys, Commanders and Giants to all suck. Eff, y’all.

This is code for "If you offer us two 1sts, sure we'll listen" otherwise, we want him.

He was up to $5.5M the first time around when he was coming off even worse years. He probably won't get $10 but I wouldn't be shocked if it's around the $8M range.

And I'm sure that's the message he wants to send to both AJ and the rest of the NFL. They probably want the rest of the league to know they will listen to offers but not to expect a discount. And they want AJ to be uneasy knowing they like him but they don't like his antics.

Thats been the super bowl winning forumla. Wouldnt have expected them to say anything different.

Howie said they had a disappointing season.

The Eagles make the playoffs, win 11 games(rested starters so would've been 12), first team to win the NFC East back to back in over 20 years. Nick and Howie: "The offense wasn't good enough" and "This season was a disappointment."

Meanwhile in Phillie land, the Phillies essentially do their version of the same thing and they aren't coming off a championship like the Eagles are and Dave Dombrowski: "We had an amazing year" and "Actually if you look at this metric, our lineup is actually really good."

Drastic difference in accountability between both organizations.

Yep. Devonta said they have been running the same offense for years.

That's because the offense needs to be dumbed down for Hurts. The only constant has been his inability and unwillingness to throw over the middle consistently or to open spots for the best receiving duo in the league.
