Clearly, Sirianni/Patullo wanted to do something else. If/when they present their different ideas and players, who have been hearing certain things for years from Stoutland now hear something else, might they ask why? Of course they might. And Hurts is certainly part of the run game. Isn't it reasonable that he would ask why?Further, you have gone from "resistant" to "doesn't comprehend well." Frankly, I think that's ugly and prejudicial. No one is has an issue with him asking why. You're stuck on that because it feels safe to you.

If one guy tells him something and the next guy tells him something else, of course he’ll ask why.Even though this is as logical as it gets, some will still ignore it. But you are absolutely right.
February 6Feb 6 Lost in all this chaos and dysfunction is that FA is a month away. With all the variables in place and all the needs and potential needs along with cap maneuvering, I really have no idea what to ultimately expect and what Roseman's grand plan for FA and the draft are. I think the picks on their first two days have to have them walking out with two offensive lineman one way or the other. After that I don't know what he is planning and how he is planning. My guess is he tries to hit on a lot of bottom of castaway FAs like he did in 2017, 2022 and 2024. But that is going to be real dangerous if that is the plan at TE given how Roseman basically tried that last year and failed across the board at those TE signings. I wouldn't be surprised if Goedert isn't back. Despite his career year I'm not sure how much he will get offered in the FA and it will be enough for him to leave when I think he wants to stay here and would sign here for a little cheaper than another team would be offering. But if it isn't Goedert then I think they have a trade in mind for a TE. Not Pitts or some high end TE. But a legitimate starter and then fill in the rest of the depth charter with a draft pick at some point in the draft hopefully and also some bargain bin TE that maybe Howie hits on again.
February 6Feb 6 Howie will do something to turn the momentum around and if he doesn't that indicates they are planning on 2027 more than 2026
February 6Feb 6 Silly question. The season is over. The Eagles don't like to do in season extensions. There's nothing stopping them from signing any of their upcoming UFA right now is there, or are they technically former Eagles who can't be signed by anyone, including the Eagles until the new year starts? If Dean wanted to come back, could he sign a new contract now or does he have to wait?

Oh wait no, no that isn't what happened at all. I must have been huffing on the same can of spray paint as you seem to be right now to think that.Jalen Hurts went 11-5 and won the NFC East for back to back years for the first time of any team in 21 years. He did this with the worst OC the league has maybe ever seen. Not to name other issues as well that he was burdened with.
February 7Feb 7 You gotta sign Dean. Baun I think will be gone in 2 years when his contract is up, he's 30 and still able to get a massive payday that I don't think the Eagles would hand out. But I think they can lock up dean now for cheaper than that Baun deal will be in 2 years. Same goes for Campbell in 2-3 years that deal I think will be cheaper than the new Baun deal in 2 years.

We can be named the Czar of Deciding Which Players Play On Any Specific Play. He did so good of it on the offensive side this year with Calcaterra blocking on nearly every running play, especially the important ones. Let's bring that brainpower to the defensive side. Gotta keep Nick's pal around. He has literally nowhere else to go. No one will have him.

As a leader on the field, you cant be breeding distrust in leadership/coachingI can tell you its no different in a regular leadership Job even as an expert and specialist. I can ask the CEO why…but then i have to execute even if i dont necessarily agree

February 7Feb 7 One thing I will say as a big time Nick Sirianni believer-If Stoutland goes on to coach elsewhere, that tells us the turmoil was real and this was not an amicable split. If Dickerson retires, then he was either driven to do it by the coaching staff, or he was not protected enough from his own decision by the coaching and medical staff. (someone should be fired if he retires due to his knees). If both of these things happen, also combined with the failure of his friend Patullo, then Nick should be fired. Right away. Not after next year. Now.And I'll still believe he can go on and be a successful head coach elsewhere. But those 3 things all happening should be survivable by no one. And youd have to imagine the owner will be very angry at that point.
