So many HC changes this year has created so much opportunity for position coaches and changes in coordinator roles. I welcome the potential influx of younger football guys. The retreads are keeping the league a bit stale imo.

What is the most HC changes in a single offseason? Anyone know?

Edit: never mind, quick search says 10 in ‘22.

Like who? WR, TE, RB, Oline, QB?

People act like Stout is untouchable but Oline was pretty bad and they kept trotting out injured players instead of putting in the backups who are healthy. He's also the run game coordinator and the run game was not great

I think Howie told Nick that he can only babysit one coordinator at a time and they need to keep him away from the new OC. Vic would slap him in the face with a bag of meatballs if he intervened on defense. That leaves a new special teams coach to pester.

Haven't watched the video for intonation, but this is as close as Howie is ever going to come to saying we aren't trading him.

Its basically word for word what he already said this year when he also didnt trade him. Its clearly a no.

I don't think it's a no. It's a "You better offer a couple 1st rounders, otherwise it's a no." Howie will trade anyone if the offer is good enough. But I don't even think Howie would get one 1st let alone two. And the 2026 draft class sucks anyway.

I’m not the biggest Hurts fan but he’s proven that he can win it all. I don’t see anyway the Eagles find a QB better than him for the 2026 season.

The contracts on offense are structured to have flexibility on outs after next year. I don’t think you’ll see radical moves this year. They’ll draft young guys and see who steps up

We'd be lucky to get a 1st - likely a 2nd as he will also want an extension from the new team. Seattle got a 2nd and a 7th for Metcalf and a 6th, and DK got a new contract from Pittsburgh. That's going to be the comp everyone looks at. Yes, AJ has been more productive, but coming off a down year and there's a perception he wants out.

There's less than zero chance of getting multiple 1st round picks. The only players on our roster who might warrant that are Carter and Q.

The biggest questions are what they do with Dean or Phillips. I don't expect a lot of outside free agent signings. Maybe an Edge if Phillips leaves. But otherwise I expect 95% of their offseason activity to be trades and draft.

That PC was a giant nothing burger other than Howie looking pissed off which is a good thing.

Was Howie's statement about making sacrifices to retain home grown talent in reference to Dean at all?

Yeah I think a 2nd at most there is no chance in hell Howie is doing that.
