Foibles aside, he's a baller and we're better when he's getting the ball. Have to believe the new OC is going to dial it up. He does seem to have some spat with Hurts but Hurts is on the hot seat now (because he wants a big extension) so am expecting QB1 to take his best shot.

You saw it with guys like Baun too, and I wouldn't call him washed or mediocre. Proper scheme and coaching matters, even the best players in the league benefit from it.

Ojomo was ready for a bigger role at like 5 percent of Williams’ cost.I mean they're making it sound like there weren't even discussion which, if that is the case I think is a little messed up. Of course he would never take a contract that could compete with Ojomo's value but at least have that discussion that he's about to get big money that we couldn't afford. Obviously wouldve been great to have Milton here but I don't think he would've moved the needle for this defense this year
February 7Feb 7 Not surprised at all Dickerson is contemplating retirement, I said as much mid season. His body has let him down, he shouldnt even been playing last year

Clearly he is not the same player he was earlier in his career. But he’s still a starter now and this year was good. The issue to me is sometimes players just have bad years. It felt like his 2023 even before he got to the Eagles, he wasn’t playing well.
February 7Feb 7 Even if Dickerson comes back I would put the risk level at high that he could still retire during training camp or preseason if he gets banged up early and that just pushes him over the edge of being over it all. They need to be going guard in the draft in the first 4 rounds.

February 7Feb 7 AJ might as well have had a "trade me" post card on his forehead during that interview.

Odd you dismiss a far superior player to Dean but then pound the table for a tiny guy that cant stay healthy

Just looking at his contract and how it was essentially a 2-year deal. Campbell is the Baun replacement. Their skillsets are much more comparable. I've never once thought Dean was tiny watching him play. He weighs the same as Baun, just not as tall.

I don’t think baun is getting another contract from the Eagles because he’s gonna be 31 when it kicks in. I don’t see them paying him at that age.I still think it’s like a 1% chance Dean is back. The only way I see that plan coming to fruition, is if the free agent market isn’t robust for Dean. the eagle see that his value is something where they think it is a good contract and they do it. If not, there is a better chance that baun is gone after 2027 and Dean in FA.

Can’t believe his reaction wasn’t towards the upteenth time Patullo called a hitch and I strongly suspect that hamstring lingered and impacted his speed somewhat. I honestly saw frustration, probably as much in himself as anything. I want him and Smitty back. Dotson on the other hand has just about played himself out of the NFL. He has basically shown that his hands and speed are good enough for decoy but his awful route running isn’t. He has a bad case of fast receiver disease. Happens to a lot of WRs with speed. They get so used to speed only as separation that they never learn the finesse moves. They also tend to be two step stop or turn guys. I remember one of DJax’s first touchdowns where he was running fast with the CB, did a little one step change of pace and then burst, with the CB flat footed by that hesitant step. Dotson, in comparison seems to be one speed.I watched Darius Cooper last summer and in week 18. Much better route runner, more body control and use. Already better than Cooper. Kind of reminds me of early Kupp, similar body type. (Darius is shorter by a few inches but also faster. I hope Mannion and Grizzard develop a five man receiver rotation. Mostly Smitty and Brown as starters but letting them play from the X, Y and Slot positions. Get Wilson seeing some of those fades, Cooper getting reps and a WR with speed and hopefully good hands and route running. (Why can’t the Birds stumble on a Nucua. Or a Shakir (Wetjen comes to mind).
February 7Feb 7 So I have come to accept Stout retiring. He is 64 in a high stress job. I am sure he is positioned for retirement and I kind of think that is what he is doing. When I retired, I had completed several areas we had been working on. I was well positioned and rather than start anew, I stepped away. This kind of feels like that. Don’t blame him and won’t blame Vic either. Hopefully he made a recommendation for his replacement on the way out.
February 7Feb 7 Everyone......STFU for a godd darn moment and listen to......Bruno Mars - I Just Might.😎👍

I wonder if he'll take on some sort of lower pressure senior advisor type position.
February 7Feb 7 AJ is going to want a new contract if he chooses to stay and not publicly demand a trade and continue to force his way out.I would hope Howie doesn't and instead gives DeVonta a new deal.

He didn’t come close to saying he retiring or taking a step back.

Not sure why you seem to insult others for thinking different than you.Yes there's a cap. But there's also the draft and trades, extensions and restructures. FA isn't the only way to improve the team. In fact, FA should be used to keep your own guys, not depend on others coming in.-OL should be handled via the draft and development of players on the team. They've invested draft picks and time to develop quite a few players. It's time for Lampkin, Kendall and one of the tackles to step up in to a bigger role. IF they invest in OL during FA, it will be depth, not starting money.-TE is a priority. They MIGHT have to spend here in FA. As much as I want Likely, I think he gets too much. I'm looking at a guy like Cade Otton and then the draft. Sadiq is the dream. Delp and Stowers are there in the middle rounds too.-WR is a need, but AJ isn't getting traded. A lot depends on Mannion and what they think the value is of WR3. Dotson caught 18 passes last year. Are they going to invest big FA $$ for a position that doesn't get targets? Doubtful. I think they really like Cooper and they bring in speed in the draft.-S is a need, probably higher than WR. I'm bringing back Epps on a 1-year deal to start next to Mukuba. Reed wants to get paid. I'm not overpaying for Blankenship. There isn't a young safety on the market worth breaking the bank for. Needs to be a draft pick.-CB2 should be one of their higher picks in the draft this year. If Jackson is CB2, he won't cost much to bring back.-Edge is a need, but I'm not overpaying for Phillips. This is where a big splash trade might be made. All in all, I want them to use their cap to retain and extend. The FA market isn't worth overpaying for. There isn't a FA I'd overpay for to bring here instead of paying Dean to stay. You haven't presented one valid reason yet other than "I like Nakobe"

Now, if Milton could have flipped and given a consistently healthy LG... now we're talking a needle mover. But, it wasn't a slight for Milton. The Eagles knew they couldn't offer what he was going to get on the open market. Should have made a call to tell him that though, I suppose. (assuming they didn't)
