What the heck are you guys doing? The answer is Phillips and Mann.

We have 3 LBers for 2 spots. Benching our first round picks just so we can outbid bad teams for Nakobe Dean is dumb as hell. He’s gone. Blankenship is our best safety, but without a legit DE then our D is not great. Our D can be great without Blankenship. We were night and day before and after Phillips

This is a crazy exercise. Blankenship? Really?

The player that made the defense night and day was Nakobe Dean.

With Campbell in the lineup, the Eagles were giving up 127 yards on the ground per game.

Once Dean came back, that yards per game went down to 85 yards.

I don't know why we're just ignoring how much of an impact Dean has in the run game.

Phillips added some much needed juice to the pass rush, but let's be real, the pass rush was Josh Uche and Aziz Ojulari.

Because you are grossly overestimating Deans impact. Opponents were weak and Carter came back

Go Seahawks. I'll probably watch a quarter or so, then do some reading, and then finish the night up with the Food Network.

Not interested enough to watch 1 minute of it

Nahhh. I'll pass. I used to watch it, but, about 5 years ago, when I got my dog, the Puppy Bowl just lost its luster for me. 🦮🦮

Funny (stupid?) thing is that I'll watch a little bit, just because I want to see the Field and the Uniforms. I'm a nerd that way.

I probably should have been, in my career, in hindsight, a Sports Team Uniform designer, or Sports Field technician of some kind.

My wife says to me this day that "you should design Men's Board Shorts or Men's shirts". I think that's a compliment?? I like clothes. 😎🫣

Curious where on OL you want to spend. Even if Dickerson retires, they have a ton of cap dropped in the OL.

The current OL on the roster:

LT-Mailata LG-Dickerson C-Jurgens RG-Steen RT-Johnson

C/G Depth- Willie Lampkin, Jake Majors, Drew Kendall

T Depth- Hollin Pierce, Cam Williams, John Ojukwu, Myles Hinton

We know there are current question marks regarding the health of Dickerson and Jurgens with the retirement discussion with Dickerson and Lane Johnson. I'm looking at this with the thought that Dickerson and Lane play one more year.

Out of the depth players, I'd like to see Lampkin, Kendall, Williams show starting potential. At the very least, OL6/7 to replace Toth and big Fred.

If Fred Johnson would sign a very team friendly 3-year deal with the hopes he might be a stopgap RT next year I would do that.

I want to come away with a RT/G in the first 4 rounds of the draft.

Starting OL-5

Fred Johnson/Drew Kendall/Willie Lampkin- 8

2/3 Draft picks- 11

Existing starters: rehab, gauge health & conditioning. Can't count on Dickerson or Lane, but how will Jurgens be? Mailata should be good. Steen?

Existing depth: how do they feel about their development and reliability to start if needed?

Outside additions: mainly draft, no moneyfor free agency. Re-sign Fred Johnson?

How so?

Carter missed 1 game when Dean was in.

Jalen Carter missed week 6, 14-16

Nakobe Dean missed week 1-5, 16-17

Still nothing on Eagles talking to OL coaches. Still think there's a chance Stout comes back when cooler heads prevail. Hope they poke around the college game.

Stop ruining our beloved sport, Fface.

I'm really liking the idea of going after Alijah Vera-Tucker for RG and Max Iheanachor for RT in the draft. Vera-Tucker should fit the wide zone very well, only 26, very high upside. If we had Stout, we probably would've had a leg up on the rest of the league but it's still possible of course. Joe Douglas drafted him. I am hoping they do not just pencil Steen back in at RG and think all is well. This o-line is gradually falling back into the pack and without injury, he is easily our weakest link.

They need to focus on re-establishing it as the core strength of our offense, this is not the strongest draft unfortunately for o-line, so pickings will be slim I fear. Looking at Max Iheanachor; he is green, but very high upside. The athleticism is off the carts which should be a prefect fit for the wide zone. He has all the measurables, plenty of strength, very high upside player. The right side with him and Vera-Tucker, could be deadly for years to come. Let Max sit behind Lane for 1 year.

The other potential top RT's I'm interested in, Blake Miller - ultra feisty and very athletic, and Monroe Freeling.

That would help the line immediately

That’s a gross oversimplification of it…

Dean, when healthy is very good in his role. The D does operate on a higher level. However…the pass rush was completely non existent most of the first half of the season. Outside of Davis, the entire DL struggled against the run so I don’t personally think the swap to Dean was the magic button per se. The ends were absolutely atrocious too outside of Hunt. Once they benched Uche and got the rotations down that really fixed things. Before anyone points to Uche’s stats…he was absolutely horrid. Zero discipline, zero contain and was getting blown up constantly.

In a perfect world, Dean never gets hurt again and is resigned. Campbell takes a huge leap to reach his super star potential and we figure out how to move Baun. Dean never getting hurt again though is what’s going to probably hold him back from getting another contract here.

Maybe this is crazy but its possible AJ has lost a step and isnt as dominant as he was.

I'm all for keeping him but maybe Devonta should be getting more targets. Treat him as the true #1.

Devonta has been the true #1. AJ gets the glory, SMith just does Smith things.

Weird that the SB is today and there’s literally zero hype for the game.

Coincidentally I'm wondering if this could be possible as well. We've some odd things with this team before but maybe it's just wishful thinking. Siri would have to first hand apologize and eat a nice hunk of humble pie, maybe that could help but really not sure.

OK, some on here have called me a moron for wanting to bring Dean back with one of the arguments against bringing Dean back is his injury history.

If Deans injury history scares people off, we should want to run as far away from AVT as possible.

AVT has missed 39 games over the last 3 seasons. IMO, it makes no sense adding a guy with that injury history to an OL that has Dickerson, Jurgens and Lane Johnson battling their injuries. He's currently slated to cost about $13 million/year. No thank you.

Signing OL is not the answer this year. They have Steen on his rookie deal and the rest are near the top paid at their respective positions. They need to address OL in the draft and lock up key defenders to keep the defense intact. The only spending on OL should be Fred Johnson if he comes back on a team friendly deal.

Watching clips from last year.

Siri is more and more unlikable every time I watch him. Such a tool

As for 2, I don’t think Smith is an elite No. 1. He’s fine as a No. 1, but not elite. He’s not a top 5-10 WR in the league. Dotson is a JAG and Cooper hasn’t shown anything aside from the preseason.

I’m not against moving on from Brown, but not because our offense stunk last year. I’d move on if they believe he’s starting to decline or if he’s just a malcontent.

And if we did, Howie wouldn’t settle for Dotson and Cooper as the 2/3. He’d certainly sign a FA or spend a premium pick on a WR.

If utilized properly, Smith can be a top 10 WR easily. Running screens with little to no blockers (or using your back up RT to swing out), endless hitches and not getting him the ball in space or on the move doesn’t really make any WR look elite.

Weird that there’s been zero mention of Robert Kraft yet in the Epstein files. They have many mutual acquaintances and both big into massages.

Maybe it’ll have to wait until after the Super Bowl.

Honest question. Where is the superstar potential with Campbell? I like Campbell, I think he's a good LB. He's a top athlete and offers Swiss Army Knife tools. I just don't see superstar with him. I think he's a plus starter but I don't think he's what so many think he is.

It’s very clear in them that he’s part of the protected controlling elite. Where as Tisch and Harris were targets. The worlds cooked, no real need to say much more on this right now though.

NFL will keep that quiet.

I’m not sure what you watched then honestly. He made some rookie mistakes at times for sure, but early in the season and specifically the first 2 games he was the best player on the field.

I don't recall that at all if I'm being the best player on the field. I remember him showing range in coverage, which is great. He made a big INT against TB, even if the ball was thrown right to him. Still have to make the play, and he did. He blends in more than stands out IMO. That's why I compare him to Alex Singleton. He makes tackles that have to be made, 2-4 yards down the field.

I posted the 2025 tape of Campbell and Dean yesterday and one player pops off the screen, the other just sort of blends in. I'm not coming down on Campbell. I think he's a good player. I just don't see this superstar potential with him.

Curious to see if NDSU has JMU type success with the transition to FBS.
