That’s why if they do re-sign Dean (I don’t think they will) then Campbell could be on the move because why have that many linebackers locked up that long? I agree with you on Campbell but it was kind of interesting how Dean took basically all of his snaps by his 3rd game back. Unless the plan is to go to a traditional 4-3 look and move Campbell to the edge on passing downs then it’s highly unlikely that Dean is retained. But who knows… you can tell he’s well liked

Phillips will come down to price -- I had been modeling 4 years, $100mm with like $50mm guaranteed. For context, Sweat got 4 years, $76.4mm with $38mm guaranteed, but Phillips is younger, better and doesn't have a degenerative knee. I think Howie will have a level for Phillips and won't chase.Do you think Phillips was always a comp play pick? I do. Tempting to keep but i dont think its in the financial plans

He's not going anywhere.Right, and for the 8 millionth time everyone said they couldn't trade Wentz too. How'd that turn out.

But either you get him at a price you like, or the price is so high you get a 3rd or 4th round comp pick for him. Win/win scenario.
Thursday at 08:27 PM1 day Phillips I’m back and forth with on if he should be brought back. You’d think Smith and Hunt would be good enough to let him walk but our pass rush sucked at the beginning of the season. Definitely need depth at edge rusher that isn’t an almost 40 year old

I think they retain at least one of Hunt and Smith as well (they will exercise Smith's 5th year option this offseason). The rest will be filled in with younger players and FAs. At LB, you have Baun for at least one more year and Campbell through his rookie contract. At safety, Mukuba and we'll see (part of me just wants the insanity of round 3 with CJGJ since he will be cheap as hell). And guys like Ojomo will get paid elsewhere. With you except for CGJ. He is a dbagWould like tk draft the s from Toledo, but mukuba and epps is probably fine

How'd that turn out.No one said they couldn't trade Wentz, just that it would be a large dead cap hit. But if you'd like to learn something, the cap hit from trading Wentz was $33.8 million. For AJ, it would be $43.5 million. And AJ wasn't friggin benched. We have $22mm in cap space, and get to just under $31mm by cutting Michael Carter. We need ~$10.7mm for rookies and in season acquisitions, so that leaves around $20mm. The excess cap hit from trading AJ before June 1? Just over $20 million. Congrats, we have no cap space and a roster with 38 players and 8 draft picks. And $22,625 in cap space. The only way to get an extra cap is extending JD, which might add just over $7mm. So that's $7mm to sign: TE, CB2, S, Edge. We legitimately can't field a full roster if we trade him.

I think he tests the market, and only if he comes up empty, does he come back to put pen to paper on a team friendly deal. I think in all likelihood, he's gone.
Thursday at 08:38 PM1 day "I think you saw this year that he’s open to doing a bunch. We were under Center more than we have been. Different motions. Different things. Jalen will do whatever it takes to win football games. Sometimes that’s throwing it a bunch. Sometimes it’s running it a bunch. Sometimes it’s handing it off a bunch. All I ever know from Jalen is that the man will do anything to win football games. He pushes himself to do new things. He has proven that all he cares about is winning and holding the trophy up at the end of the year.”Nick Sirianni when asked if Jalen Hurts is willing to do different things with the offense under a new coordinator
