You old timers aren’t the demographic for half time shows anymore.

You mean I wasted my time telling Goodell it needs to be BTO next year??

That’s been going on forever in different forms. Radio played what was getting pushed by the record company. But the most streamed artists in that list are the most popular artists. Bad Bunny has been popular for a while now with a big audience

Oh I get it, and I'm not taking away from BB popularity. Was more or less making the point that streaming numbers aren't what they appear.

How do you get people to completely tune out? Play something for 20 minutes that they don't understand at all.

Instead of forcing people to tune out, it broke records for ratings. So I guess it wasn't as disastrous as you hoped. Better luck next time?

I still don't understand the love for Kendrick. Clearly, a lot of people love him, but man his voice and his beats do nothing for me

Most of your posts can be summed up as "Stop liking things that I don't like!"

Hard to judge position coaches, but we can try:

Kuper was with Vikings 2022-2025

Courtesy of chat GPT, that gave him 3 first round picks to work with:

  1. 2019 – Garrett BradburyCenter (C). Not developed by Kuper, but a proven talent that he had to work with when collectively evaluating his OL performance.

  2. 2021 – Christian DarrisawOffensive Tackle (OT). Outside of injuries, the consensus seems to be that he's outstanding.

  3. 2025 – Donovan JacksonGuard (G). Apparently started and played well as a rookie.

2nd round:

  1. 2022 - Ed Ingram - Guard. This one may not look great. Apparently started 2 years, was benched in year 3 and was never that good. Then went to the Texans this year and was better.

Another way to look at it, to work backwards, their starting OL was...
Darrisaw: first round pick successfully developed.

Donovan Jackson: first round pick respectable rookie year.

Ryan Kelly: veteran not developed

Will Fries: veteran not developed

Brian O'Neill: inherited not developed

Just have to wait and see. The face-value concern is that the entire OL was either not developed by him or a first round pick. But that still only tells part of the story.

I have some bad news for you...

The Apple Music Super Bowl 60 halftime show may have drawn as many as 135 million viewers on NBC, which would make it the most-watched halftime show of all-time, according to a report by CBS News

I guess you missed the second part of my post. If only I could avoid reading your posts so well.

Embarrassing half time shows. 2 years back to back with Kendric Lamar and Bad Rabbit. Couldn't understand either of them. This is not music and does not appeal to the masses. DUMB!!! NFL selling out to some political woke BS.

You are about to be big mad. Here are the odds leaders to be the headliner next year.

Miley Cyrus, Cardi B, Taylor Swift, Lil Wayne, A$AP Rocky, Justin Bieber, Drake, Ariana Grande and Harry Styles.

They’ll probably have some country music artist next year and it will be terrible

You didn't seem to know whether the message was delivered or not. I provided the answer. You're welcome

I would be all in on a Bieber show. I hated his music when he was a kid, but he's turned in to quite the adult musician. His new album is damn good. Not embarrassed to say it.

If they parade Ariana Grande out there, we know she won't be with out her 14" fingernail bald handler. Wouldn't be surprised if they showed her taking Ozempic during a performance.

I actually recognize every one of those names and would be fine with a few of them.

Less concerned about 2025 for that reason but his previous weren’t exactly thrilling. Add on say whatever we want but not always going to have a healthy oline. To stoutland’s credit he’s gotten backups to step in and be competent. Vaitai comes to mind in 2018.

If a lip synching Kid Rock in jorts was more to your liking, you should've tuned in to Klanchella instead.

Didn't watch Kid Rock...I should have though.

You guys keep this up and they are putting Taylor Swift out there next year

I’d be fine if they played "I’m gonna be (500 miles)” by the proclaimers on repeat like in how i met your mother. It always comes back around

Offensive line coach from the Vikings will be interesting. Seems like he wasn't given much and Mannion is familiar with him.

Probably also might of been hard to find a coach right now when it came unexpectedly.

I did see a post somewhere about the assistant on the rams kind of wish we took a look at him.

It was a rhetorical question that the market will decide and that there's no point in obsessing over it. But coming to this board for answers from someone as intelligent as yourself transcends my original point. Always a pleasure.

There wasn't a leftist conspiracy to inflate Bad Bunny's streaming numbers for years before this SB so that the NFL would choose him to play. He's popular. Like other artists listed in that chart. I personally don't listen to most of the music there. I watched because it was the halftime show and it was fine. People can certainly choose to do what they want.

Not a huge fan of Bad Bunnys music but I thought it was a helluva show. The choreography and production was on par with a Broadway show. It definitely got people moving which is the appeal of his music. It is dance music.

As far as not being to understand him, I get that. I speak Spanish fluently and there were points that I didnt understand. It isnt particular to Bad Bunny. Thats how Puerto Ricans/Cubans speak Spanish. It is like Texans and Delco people have different accents and phrases even though they both speak English. And it is not like not being able understand lyrics is specific to him either. Hell, before the internet we had no idea what the hell Eddie Vedder or Kurt Cobain were saying lol.

Sure but you still seem a little salty that the market didn't decide in the same way you did. It's ok, you win some, you lose some.

I think sports and the NFL most especially are way too nepotistic and incestuous. I hope the Eagles hired Kuper because they think he's good or has a chance to be great and not just because "He knows Mannion."

Nope. Worst part of the halftime show was drawing me into this conversation with you. Otherwise, the show had no impact on my life and I don't care if next year is Lee Greenwood singing proud to be an American or if they get Jay-Z to re-interpret Rumi's Islamic poetry into hip hop.

There's a fine line between incestuous nepotism and favoring people that you can vouch for who will not blow up organizational culture and will be tolerable to work with.

Any leader in the work place who shares responsibility with hiring and terminating personnel has to navigate that line...and some do it better than others.

Or the NFL leans in even further and doubles down. They can go with a language even less people understand by choosing a k-pop group.

I wouldn't care much for it but there would be entertainment value in watching everyone who is angry about Bad Bunny's head explode even more.

I think the tea leaves make it pretty clear that Lurie and Howie still share open wounds from the Chip Kelly fiasco. It was the one strain on their relationship too. With how well they rebounded, culture (and control) are going to be huge factors in coaching hires.

Just a couple other things to remember...Washburn and Babin rebelling against the coaching staff, Tom Donahoe showing Howie up in the war room (over the freaking Milton Williams outstanding pick).

Guys with a connection to existing employees who can be ruled out as psychopaths are going to have a leg up on getting hired here.

I agree, when I don't care about something, I usually take the time to proclaim I tuned it out, call it a ridiculous choice, and then make several more posts about it.

I can definitely see them having a K-pop group within 5 years. It’s a large audience and would put even more eyes on the SB.
