You think Sirianni has any control whatsoever at this point?

Good question. He’s got to have something if Patullo is still here, doesn’t he?

I doubt Lindebaum is a fit at guard with his size limitations.

I mentioned this the other day, I would sign Linderbaum and move Jurgen’s back to right guard. Upgrades your C position and right guard if Jurgens is healthy and can get back to close to 2025 form. If Dickerson comes back then your interior is Dickerson, Linderbaum, and Jurgens. Stern becomes your no. 1 backup OL. Then draft OG and OT relatively high in the draft. That said i don’t see linderbaum coming here. I think he goes ravens or giants

I'm not sure Cam at guard would be a great fit either. I guess with the switch to outside zone it would be more possible but he's still a bit undersized. I wouldn't want to go that route personally. Though I do like Linderbaum just not seeing how it makes a lot of sense here.

Cam played RG with Kelce here. Kelce is a smaller center with a smaller Jurgens. So i don’t think the eagles believe Jurgens couldn’t play RG at a high enough level. I think bigger thing is linderbaum is going to be paid a ton. Don’t see us having the money to spend on him and i think he either goes back to the ravens or reunited with harbaugh in NY.

And we drafted Kendall and signed Lampkin and even have Majors on a future deal. All 3 were center prospects who you are moving or discarding Jurgens

I’m really not trying to defend Siri here. He holds responsibility, as an offensive head coach, for not being capable of handing the offense himself in 2025. But I really feel his responsibility stopped when the clock ran out against SF.

My interpretation of the tea leaves is just that Siri became a complete figurehead the minute the season ended. It just feels that the Eagles made it crystal clear to OC candidates that Siri was out of the picture and that he was completely neutered. The direction of the offense, the selection of new coaches to move towards Shanahan/Mcvay offensive tendencies…the coaches that have left and will leave due to philosophical differences with that direction (Stoutland)…I think Siri is sitting in a corner while Lurie and Howie are handling all of this.

With Stoutland, I don’t see why this can’t be as simple as an older coach who has done it all (as OL coach) who isn’t up for a major shift in offensive scheme, philosophy, and OL personnel. I don’t think he’s done with coaching, but he probably doesn’t want that paradigm shift at this point in his career. Not sure why it has to be some major interpersonal drama.

No offense Lampkin isn’t a lock to even make the team next year. We’ve seen that happen before where a guy was here and stored for an entire year. Then next year he got cut. I like Lampkin but stoutland was here when he was signed. They might not think he’s a fit for new offense and might be gone in cutdowns during training camp.

Heck new coach might say he’s not good enough. Kendall is fine as a backup in the 5th round. I’m not projecting a 5th rounder to definitively be a starter. If you get him to be a solid backup that’s a success

Also, hypothetically, let’s say Linderbaum gets hurt. I could always move Jurgens back into center and then move steen back into right guard. Or go Kendall/Lampkin as C and keep Jurgens as RG. It gives me more options and flexibility.

That said I don’t see Linderbaum signing here so it’s really a moot point. However, if you can sign arguably one of the best centers in the league and upgrade at center then also move Jurgens to right guard and believe he’s an upgrade over Steen, we’ve upgraded two positions with that signing.

Understood, they might all be nothing but I doubt they feel the need to sign a high priced center. In fact there goal seems to be to open up dollars for the defense. So I think all OL pickups will be draft picks beyond lower tier signings

Oh, I said it’s not likely. I don’t think he’s gonna sign here because he’s gonna cost too much money and I also just think he’s gonna go reunite with Harbaugh or with the ravens.

But I could make the argument Linderbaum for multiples years has been a top three center in the league. So technically you would be upgrading over Jurgens. if the eagles believe Jurgens is better than Tyler Steen at right guard then really that signing now you upgraded center, but also upgraded right guard.

That said I don’t see it happening, but i could understand the logic if they did it. (Linderbaum is also only 25)

On offense the only money I see is a tight end and not a top of the market guy. But they can’t go into draft with no tight ends at all.

Tbh i could see them trading for a TE as opposed to signing one. they are unlikely signing Pitts, otton or likely. Maybe someone like okonkwo who they believe getting out of Tennessee could flourish. I really wouldn’t be surprised if guys like Cole kmet or Michael mayers are available via trade. Mayers entering his last year of his contract. Loveland began emerging at the end of the year and trading kmet saves them money against the cap. I don’t believe either would cost you a high pick.

LOTS of options, good off-season to need a TE:

Goedert, Pitts, Njoku, Likely, Otton, Okonkwo

I agree with everything here and was not trying to say anything else. I am puzzled though that Patullo is still here. He's a PR nightmare, so why?

Aaron Moorehead every year at the Novacare when a coaching change happens and he's let go.

I feel that if the eagles have conviction that Hurts was the main problem, its actually the right thing to do for Patullo. His ship shouldnt sink due to being handcuffed.

Maybe they should lock him in the basement in the room that Howie got shoved in to during the Chip Kelly regime...Howie came out new and improved! Maybe that room has some kind of mystical power and Patullo would come out Bill Walsh reincarnate?

Listening to the latest Bill Simmons podcast with Nick Wright as a guest and they are talking about how the 2017 Eagles did not deserve to win that Super Bowl against the Pats.

Defending Moorehead still being here is weird. Is it just to be contrarian and agree to every change and non change the team makes?

What has Moorehead done wrong?

I'd have rather Moorehead been replaced but he wasn't and this place has become like a microcosm of the internet where every issue no matter how small is treated with equal levels of outrage and whining.

I think Dickerson will play and they talked to him after a rough year in the lockerrom. Now if there's a physical problem that is deterioating that's a different story. We might want him to retire in that case.
