Patullo was our PGC in 2022 and our passing attack was solid that year

Yeah, but let's be real, that was the only year the offense was good. And a lot of people blame him. I'm not one of them, I put it more on Sirianni and Hurts than Patullo. But I do think Patullo is part of it, it's just hard knowing how much of it he was responsible for. A lot of people think he was reason #1 the offense sucked, and if he goes to Miami and the passing offense looks good, it challenges that narrative.

AJ explains that people that aren't competitors on the field don't understand his mindset but other competitors do.

They don't seem to fully commit to the FB. You had Latu, who was never utilized consistently (but who was?). BVS got injured and prior to that was used sparingly in that role with him being a converted LB. Khari Blasingame came in after BVS went down, but he was only a blocker.

Would love to see a good camp battle between Latu and Steele. Latu is more a hybrid TE/FB and Steel is more RB/FB. Do they go with the extra blocking or running ability?

Latu was originally drafted by the 49ers in the 3rd round, but got injured in preseason and put on IR. The 49ers waived him before the start of the regular season the next year. He could have a leg up having previously learned the Shanahan offense.

What I like about Latu is that he's that hybrid who can save a roster spot when it boils down to numbers. He was a darn good TE at Alabama. He showed he can block. I think a competent OC could use him as a real TE too. Position versatility is one of my favorite things when it comes to the roster puzzle.

I am sure that's a good hire for them. I hope everthing goes without a hitch for him.

To be fair we haven't seen consistency from Davis and people are saying extend him 🤷‍♂️

He may be a lot cheaper but is also mainly playable on run downs unless he drops another 20lbs.

He's gonna make defenses look like cowards when he draws up a play on 3rd down!

Sounds familiar.

I'm just glad he's not with the organization anymore. Moving him to another position after hiring his replacement just seemed way too awkward

There were 26 False start calls on the Eagles. https://www.nflpenalties.com/team/philadelphia-eagles?year=2025&view=penalties 7 were on WRs. https://www.nflpenalties.com/team/philadelphia-eagles?year=2025&view=players AJ had 4 but so did Landon Dickerson and Fred Johnson. Mailata had 3. They were near the bottom of the League for Falst Starts but it doesn't seem like a WR coaching issue.

How does that stack against other teams WRs is the comparison to be made. 4 for a WR seems like a very high number to me

DT is one of the more interesting positions to watch. Their top 3 (Carter, Davis, Ojomo) are due new contracts over the next 2 seasons. Their top 2 both have question marks that make it a risk to commit the amount of money to. I'm guessing only 2 of the 3 get 2nd contracts here.

The player with the least amount to risk with a new contract is Moro Ojomo. You'll never question his maturity, his desire to stay in shape or anything else. He's as stand up of a guy as they come and he's incredibly smart. Moro Ojomo type players are what you want.

Moro Ojomo played 66% of the snaps and had 38 tackles, 6 sacks and 12 QB Hits.

Jalen Carter played 84% of the snaps and had 33 tackles, 3 sacks and 12 QB Hits.

Jordan Davis played 61% of the snaps and had 34 tackles, 4.5 sacks and 6 QB Hits.

In no way am I saying Ojomo is Jalen Carter. Carter is special...WHEN HE WANTS TO BE.

Jordan Davis got in the best shape of his life, WHEN HIS CONTRACT DEPENDED ON IT.

Moro Ojomo just keeps steadily improving.

Moving forward, what 2 DT do you all prefer?

Carter/Davis

Carter/Ojomo

Ojomo/Davis

If a team offers a Micah Parsons type of trade for Carter, I'm doing it (provided both Davis and Ojomo get new contracts).

Could there be a team out there who overpays for Ojomo based on Milton Williams ascent? Trade for Ojomo so they control his extension rather than bidding in 26?

Is there a true 3-4 team who would give up a chunk to have Davis anchor their odd man front?

It's going to be interesting and we're going to see a great player leave. Jalen Carter is so fun to watch. I love what Davis brings to the locker room and he dedicated himself to improving. Ojomo is just a damn good player. Lots to look out for moving forward.

I'm not extending Hurts. No way.

Re-structure his contract? I'd do that.

I've said before, I think him and Siri get two more years. Then BIG changes will be made.

Extending hurts coming off the year he just had and moving to a new offense would be quite possibly the dumbest thing they could do this offseason

I don't have a strong take on replacing Loeffler but I suspect that they went through the Rooney rule interview with the intention of hiring someone new likely Greg Olson but we'll see

The Rooney Rule interview was probably Jerrod Johnson

I hate this idea that being a competitor is simply being pissed he didn’t get the ball while he should have been competitive through his play— IE playing hard and running your routes like you’re getting the ball.

One more thing to consider at DT. There's been steady progression from DT4/5 the last few years. We saw Milton Williams,, Thomas Booker, Moro Ojomo and Byron Young all improve and step in to bigger roles year after year.

Byron Young was straight garbage the first half of the season. I thought he was the worst player on the 53. He turned it around though and ended the season playing 30% of the snaps with 2.5 sacks and 4 QB Hits. He was the 6th pick of the 3rd round so he has the pedigree too.

Can Byron Young take another step next year?

Can Ty Robinson or Gabe Hall contribute next year? I'd argue Ty Robinson was one of the most disappointing players on the team this year but at the same time, the Eagles really liked Byron Young and there just weren't snaps for Robinson. I'd imagine year 2 looks much different for Robinson.

Technically, DT is set for next year, but there are a ton of question marks at the same time. Mainly the contracts and young players progressing.

All this while seeing loaded TE class after loaded TE class in the draft. One of the most frustrating roster management issues I've had with them. Especially considering Goedert's health.

When it comes to cost, production and question marks surrounding the player, yes.

I'm looking to keep as many players on this defense as I can. What combination of players is that going to be?

There's no question that Quinyon MItchell and Cooper DeJean are must signs and they are going to be the top paid players at their positions.

CB and Edge are going to cost A LOT.

Pat Surtain signed a 4-year $96 million contract. Quinyon is going to get PAID.

Jalen Pitre is the highest paid nickel CB with a 3-year $42.6 million contract. Cooper is getting PAID.

Nik Bonitto signed a 4-year $106 million contract after his 3rd season. George Karlaftis signed a 4-year $88 million contract. If Jalyx Hunt continues his progression, he's getting PAID.

Moro Ojomo is about a safe a player to sign as there is.

If the Dolphins have a good passing attack next season and the Eagles passing game sucks, the bullseye goes strictly on Jalen Hurts going forward.

Lol. Youd think but the way things are around here we know better than that. People will just be blaming Nick saying its still his team, his offense. He influenced the offense too much and thats why it still sucks, etc. Hurts will never, ever catch blame.

Some felt that way about Landon and Cam…you never know.

Davis and Carter is my preference. Ojomo was a 7th rounder that proved himself. If Howie still has that mojo, he can find another
