Nice to see but no way it can happen. They need too many things to give up multiple firsts for a guy close to 30.

OT

OG

TE

CB2

S

WR if Brown is moved

With Howie you can never say "it can't happen "

We were spoiled up until last year with the cap. 2020-2024 was the perfect storm of nailing draft picks on every level of defense and Howie being able to hand out contracts to the well deserved players on offense. During that time, the Eagles neglected to draft OL, TE, WR and it's finally caught up to them. This is as close to cap hell as we've been in some time. They can't afford to bring in players, they can't afford to keep every player they want and they are stuck with players who should have one foot out the door.

Not to continue to say it, but 2025 should have been the year. They blew it. I can't think of a move they made that really made sense. They were so up against the cap, their biggest FA signings were 3rd string player and most of them didn't make the team.

Howie gets a lot of credit but look at these moves.

-Saquon Barkley getting an extension after 1 season. Why?

-Dickerson and Jurgens getting huge extensions knowing their injury history

-Becton and Rodgers walking with no ability to bring in replacements

-KP being made the OC

-Uche, Ojulari, Z'Darrius Smith

-Traded a 6th for Jaire Alexander and a 7th...never plays a down

-CJGJ trade for Kenyon Green. Starting safety traded for RG who was cut

-John Metchie for Michael Carter

-Thomas Booker for Jackorian Bennett

-Darian Kennard to the Packers (valuable depth on OL)

-Not being able to sign Josh Sweat led them to trading a 3rd for Jaelan Phillips (who they probably can't keep)

-Avery Williams was signed early on to be the KR/PR

-Kendall Lamm was signed to be OL6, bombed and forced them to trade for Fred Johnson

-DTR brought in as QB3, cut

-Traded a 5th and 7th for Sam Howell

-AJ Dillon was inactive and so bad they traded for Tank

Howie has been great, but that's a brutal, brutal stretch of moves.

Had to do something after running 2k+

Agree about Dickerson and Jurgens

that's absolutely hilarious

RB is an interesting position to look at. I'm sure people get sick of me suggesting trades but I like to look at guys as assets, looking at expiring contracts and how to take advantage of them. What is the long term plan with Bigsby/Shipley? They have 1 and 2 years left respectively. Bigsby is a starter in this league. Shipley could be a nice rotational RB. Both are criminally underused here.

What do we honestly think Saquons shelf life is here? They can get out of his contract after this season.

I think one of 2 things happens with Bigsby. He's traded after the draft or he's given an extension here. I'd prefer they give him a 4-year deal and figure out how to use him in tandem with Barkley.

If Price is there in round 4, I'm tempted depending on who's available. I think he's the better NFL prospect between he and Love, and Love is such a fun prospect.

RB is one of the lowest positions when it comes to need, but it's also going to sneak up on them as a need in a hurry.

I would only splurge for a guard if they're truly dominant. Otherwise, draft one. I would splurge for Linderbaum though if he would shake free. He's one of the best centers in football and is young.

Where are we drafting one? I'm guessing as of now round 1 is RT. I'm not loving the draft options personally, to take one in round 2 based on need doesn't sound too good. I do get the hesitation with Vera-Tucker. If he did not get hurt so much then he would also not be in our price range either. I just don't see Linderbaum as realistic unless Cam is retiring or getting cut. He wasn't anything special at guard and it's not his best fit either, and to then put two undersized guys right next to each other, none of that is a recipe I want to create. Brings me back to the thinking of this off season doesn't have a lot of great options.

Could bring in more quality depth on the o-line and wait til next off season for a new solution at guard. I'm not in the thinking draft one this year just because and I hope its not forced. If they deem Vera-Tucker as damaged goods and/or to have long term injury ramifications, then fine, strike him from your free agency board. If the docs review his medicals and see no major concerns then I would be fine there with the signing. 26 and pro-bowl potential, fits the new scheme like a glove, great in the locker room and off the field.

I absolutely love price and cant see why he wouldnt be a very early 2nd rounder.

The only reason I can see him getting pushed down is because of the talent at other more pressing positions. Edge/OL/TE/WR should really crowd the middle rounds. How do teams feel about RB? Someone is going to get a good one. He's a Nick Chubb type of RB without the brutal injuries. Just going to be a plug and play starter from day 1.

I like our RB room. It's just that they were used incorrectly last season. We should have seen more of Tank, Ship and AJ.

I think the TE position is more important than the RBs.

Agree but only on tank The other two showed me next to nothing

TE is a dire need

I like our RB room too, excluding AJ who was fine but does nothing for me.

But Price is just awesome and makes any RB room better and so much more fun.

Of course, its extremely unlikely.

Later round RB, maybe.

My guy is taking a flyer on Ott from Oklahoma. He has Jamaal Charles speed. Really tiny crease you cant even necessarily see on TV and hes gone. He shocked everyone and did exceptional in pass blocking drills at the senior bowl.

I agree, to an extent. I would have liked to see Ship on some screens/wheel routes, etc. And I think AJ could have been utilized in short yardage situations, or inside the 5 yard line/goal line. But what do I know. 🤓😎

Why do you hate AJ Brown?

I think we all like the RB room and for good reason. I'm more or less looking at the future. What we're seeing is how poorly the Eagles have done with depth on offense and now all of the sudden, there are immediate needs across the offense. RB isn't there yet, but it sure as hell will be next year.

There's a scenario where the only RB under contract next year is Will Shipley. I don't want to be put in that situation.

Joel Klatt had the Eagles drafting Kenyon Saddiq, TE at #23 in his first mock draft. Worth noting that Keith Jackson was the last TE the Eagles drafted in the first round, back in 1988.

Oh boy, not sure if I would want them to use a 1st rounder on a TE. Couldn't they get a decent one later in the draft? I'm not up to speed with the TEs that are coming out of College though.

I think I want CB or OL with the 1st round pick.

I thought Ship did well with his KO returns for most part of the season. Seemed to fall off though as the season progressed.

I think AJ is like 27? I could see him coming back on a 2 year deal. Just need to use him a bit more, IMO.

Hopefully the new Offensive Coaching staff doesn't call inside zone runs all game long. 😬

Or is it?

Thibodeaux reportedly on the trade block, and AJ Brown wearing Giants clothes. = AJ Brown for Thib and a 3rd?
