A fast food joint - Wendy's - actually had a Salad Bar and Pasta Bar??!! Dang, never knew that. I think I've been there like 3x in 25 years, only for Burgers though. Through the Drive Thru.

Ok time for dinner at my house! Cooked some thin cut Pork Chops, Yellow Rice, and have some Black Beans to add to the rice. thumbsup

The junior menu (?) was decent but we were there to empty the place out.

Quick poll, who here eats fast food at major fast food chains? I can't tell you the last time I went to any of the major brands. I tried Raising Cane's and Dave's Hot Chicken once each when they moved in, but it was to try it. I did and no reason to go back. If I'm on the road for work, I try my best to just pack protein options for the car.

I might get food to go 3x a month. Usually I'll go with a local pizza shop, local cheesesteak shop and a stand at a local market.

Growing up in the 80s our family did pizza night on Friday nights. McDonald's was always a treat and sometimes even that was just for the fries. We did birthday parties at McDonalds. Pizza Hut was "fancy" pizza for us once in a blue moon or when we went to a friends house, also where our youth teams would eat after a big game. We only got Wendy's, Arby's or Hardees when we were traveling.

I find Wendy's chili okay for something quick and easy. $3, bring it home, add chili powder and garlic powder and add a bunch of cheese. Nuke it for 2.5 minutes at 50% then under the broiler to get the cheese nicely melted and browned. Their biggie bag seems like a deal for $5. I don't know that I've ever had it but it looks like other major burger places are trying to compete.

Beats me. Replacing a guy with an internal promotion while keeping the old guy still employed is kinda bizarre.

Either Hurts didn't like Loeffler or the Eagles didn't like him in that role but liked other things he brought to the table.

I don’t think Loefler will remain on staff. Did I miss something?

You can buy the canned Wendy’s chili at my Giant. In fact, the have Olive Garden salad dressing, Chick Fila dipping sauce, Arby’s secret sauce and waffle fries, Panera soups and flatbread pizza etc. No need to go to chain restaurants anymore. (Never bought any of those.)

Is this true?

I'm on board with all of these, but hesitant to cut Steen. He's the starting RG. Even if they bring in a better option, Steen is a good OL6.

Cut CB Michael Carter: Saves $8.3 million. Dead cap number is only $1.3 million

Cut CB Kelee Ringo: Saves $1.1 million. Dead cap number is $205k.

Cut RG Tyler Steen (If Eagles have a better option for RG): Saves $3.6 million. Only $295k in dead money.

Cut CB Jakorian Bennett: Saves $1.1 million and there's 0 dead money

The red head dream and I don’t eat a lot of fast food. We got hit by Covid (mild because of the vaccine) while out west in Idaho this past summer/early fall. Out of caution, I used drive through twice with a mask. Wendy’s for their chicken sandwich (unfortunately they did away with the grilled version, it was fried and dry. The next day Burger King, worse hamburger I think I ever ate. Third day, I masked up and preordered Five Guys. The fourth day, feeling relatively back to normal I’m asked up (because air could still shed virus, and hit a Safeway. And we stayed in a suite and I made our food. Usually on our road trips, we will grab a Sonic on a real long day once a trip.

In town, we have Wendy’s, Arby’s, McDonalds, Burger King, Chipotle, Panera, two Subways, Royal Farms, Five Guys, Rutter’s, Jersey Mike, Chick Fila, Oolah Bowls, Starbucks, Taco Bell, Cracker Barrel, and Ruby Tuesdays. Some I have never eaten at. Every once in a blue moon maybe a Burrito Bowl or a Five Guys burger. Probably grab a Jersey Mike’s Italian a few times a year. On girls night at our house, I have been known to go to Cracker Barrel for a chicken fried steak. (Those of you that have lived or traveled in the South, would chuckle at the waitresses up here. They ask if you want gravy on that and whether brown or sawmill gravy - their version of pan gravy. I really want to meet the guy that doesn’t put pan gravy on their chicken fried steak or has brown gravy on it.)

Speaking of chicken fried steak, has anyone had Texas Roadhouse’s chicken fried sirloin? I really am tempted to try that one.

Howie tried, but yeesh, a couple of those FA signings and Trades were just awful.

He very well may not. But he currently is. Maybe he’ll be similar to Patullo and get a job out of the blue with no link to anywhere.

Yea. But in Steens case they would probably just restructure him than outright cutting.

I posted every move this weekend and Howie really had a bad offseason last year. There's no way around it.

@Joe Ball This guy legit? He has some decent background it seems. I agree that it's a strong safety class. I'm letting Blankenship walk, bringing Epps back on a 2-year deal and drafting a guy.

Its a good class but not sure there are stars. S is so difficult to project bc its so cerebral

Gimme the kid from Toledo

I like this safety class, I think it's pretty strong. Part of the reason I don't want to just force weaker positions just because they're a bigger need. Safety could definitely use another quality addition especially if Blankenship isn't back. I'm ready to move on from him due to his lack of athleticism but his smarts and locker room leadership is important so it's not an easy decision.

That is the point. The city did not throw snowballs just like the city did not kill JFK.

As exciting as Sadiq is, Delp is the complete TE. Do they continue the UGA trend?

So the Eagles have Q, Coop, McWilliams, Brown and Mukuba signed in the secondary outside of the three mentioned in his article, who he wants to cut. Carter is a given but the others are damn near the vet minimum. Ringo is worth it on STs. Bennett, not at this time. The Eagles Gs signed for next year are Toth, Majors, Lampkin. Yeah, let’s cut Steen.

This nonsense that the Eagles need to cut is nuts. If, Howie signs a FA, it is most likely from the Eagles pool or possibly a cut like Carter will be for the Birds. Note the cap cut for each team in the Athletic included Becton, for example. For the Birds it was Carter.

Toth is a FA fwiw. He’s one of the guys I’m most interested in because he was always seen as a Stoutland guy so curious if that’s true or he’s the next Vandervelde.

Is he? He was on a future contract last summer and made the team. Usually the future contract reverts to a vet minimum with three years on it.

EJ Smith thinks this could be an indicator they've decided not to fully embrace the Shanahan offense and are still going to do the Sirianni offense just with some Shanahan elements, but I doubt it. It's not like Frazier has some lengthy history with Sirianni.

Ewwwwwwwwwww. Noooooooooo. Yuck. Blah. Meh.

EJ Smith literally didn't know that Mike Tomlin was no longer the Steelers coach last week and suggested that the Steelers might be a good trade destination for Hurts based on his relationship with Tomlin. He is an embarrassment and complete and total moron. Anyone who takes anything he says even remotely seriously is probably a moron as well.

Everybody reads so much into every move. Most people who are offered jobs take them. Thats just how it works. Are there exceptions? Of course especially when there are multiple offers but most of the guys they didn’t hire was their choice most likely. Time will tell whether the choices were correct. They definitely seem a bit light on experience on the O staff

Malachi Fields looks like he could be an AJ Brown replacement down the road. I wonder if he’d be in play with pick #68 from the Jets.

I completely forgot about a Wendy's buffet. But wasnt that just a salad bar? Or was there other food on it?

It was called the Super Bar. It had pasta, Mexican and salad fixings.... for like five bucks I ate like a king. It was awesome.

Off topic - what happened to that dude we signed as a UDFA last year Hollin Pierce from Rutgers ?
