I'm not one to overreact to underwhelming coaching hires but it would be nice at some point to get some good Eagles news.

Love the first 2 picks but both seem unrealistic in those draft slots.

I also love the rest of the draft. Filled with "my guys".

Dunker, Klare, Masses, Fitzgerald

Id be ecstatic.

Yeah, I figured - I didn't know you were JK.

Yup, completely out of whack. Max is as first rounder, Tyson could slip a little due to the extensive injuries but to 23? Not very realistic

It looks like it for real. Maybe he frequents IWTETG.

Got a future deal after the season. Was on PS all season.

Okay. Cool.... thank you

Eagles really need to go offense in this draft, but man if TJ Parker is there at 23 or another Edge falls, that would be hard to pass up. A lot of safeties I like in this draft too if Blankenship leaves.

The red head dream and I don’t eat a lot of fast food. We got hit by Covid (mild because of the vaccine) while out west in Idaho this past summer/early fall. Out of caution, I used drive through twice with a mask. Wendy’s for their chicken sandwich (unfortunately they did away with the grilled version, it was fried and dry. The next day Burger King, worse hamburger I think I ever ate. Third day, I masked up and preordered Five Guys. The fourth day, feeling relatively back to normal I’m asked up (because air could still shed virus, and hit a Safeway. And we stayed in a suite and I made our food. Usually on our road trips, we will grab a Sonic on a real long day once a trip.

In town, we have Wendy’s, Arby’s, McDonalds, Burger King, Chipotle, Panera, two Subways, Royal Farms, Five Guys, Rutter’s, Jersey Mike, Chick Fila, Oolah Bowls, Starbucks, Taco Bell, Cracker Barrel, and Ruby Tuesdays. Some I have never eaten at. Every once in a blue moon maybe a Burrito Bowl or a Five Guys burger. Probably grab a Jersey Mike’s Italian a few times a year. On girls night at our house, I have been known to go to Cracker Barrel for a chicken fried steak. (Those of you that have lived or traveled in the South, would chuckle at the waitresses up here. They ask if you want gravy on that and whether brown or sawmill gravy - their version of pan gravy. I really want to meet the guy that doesn’t put pan gravy on their chicken fried steak or has brown gravy on it.)

Speaking of chicken fried steak, has anyone had Texas Roadhouse’s chicken fried sirloin? I really am tempted to try that one.

There's upside with some of these hires (sans Moorehead) given the unknown, but there's also concern with the lack of experience.

Like, would anyone here be completely shocked if we're all sitting here in say October or November with things not going well and we're all going "They hired a dude with next to no coaching experience, who was still playing football in 2023 to run an offensive and had no experienced offensive mind overseeing the whole thing, and a head coach handling the game management aspect of it, which he sucked at in 2025... what did everyone think was going to happen?"

The thing about "It's just so bold, it just might work" is the might part of that. And when the might ends up being "No, it didn't work" then it usually ends in disaster.

Remains to be seen how that's going to go here, but Howie needs to have a bounce back offseason because his offseason last year sucked, let's just call it for what it is. His free agent signings largely all went bust, his draft picks barely contributed. He needs a big one this offseason and you can usually tell what type of season the Eagles are going to have based on the vibes going in, because the quality of their seasons usually reflect their offseasons. In 2022 and 2024 they had so obviously objectively great offseasons those years and vibes were sky high. In 2023 and 2025... not so much.

On the fast food subject...the absolute worst places I have ever eaten at were in Kentucky while working a lengthy contract where I was there every other week or so for half a year. Fazoli's the absolute worst place I have ever eaten fast food (worse than Ci-Ci's, wayyyyy worse), White Castle. I had White Castle for the first time while working in Cleveland for a few weeks not impressed but edible, fast forward 15 years in Kentucky, absolute trash...

Yep if they have a run it back offseason then it would be disappointing. Honestly seasons often turn on things that aren't even obvious going into them but still all we have to go on now is what moves we see

Oh - top 5 exciting offseason move

Woo hoo!

So, OTC and Spotrac now have different starting cap numbers for the Eagles. OTC has ~$18.2mm, and Spotrac has ~$9.8mm. The delta seems to be in Lane, Mailata and BG.

image.png

On quick look, I "think" OTC is correct on these, as Spotrac shows an over $40mm option bonus for Lane in 2026 (no way that is right) and imply a ~$30mm option bonus for Jordan when the real number is $11.2mm. So I think OTC is closer.

Reworked with OTC starting cap and lower extension numbers than before for JC, JD and JP.

A) new corporate sponsors

B) ticket price increases

C) international game selection

D) more dome ideas

E) AJ trade, oof.

Let the good times roll.

If Mannion truly is one of the next big things, it was a great hire that should be exciting. It just might take time for him since he only has a couple years of coaching experience. If he isn't up to it, and/or it doesn't work out with Nick then we have to see what happens. Mannion could be the future HC, he could get hired elsewhere. Or he could suck and this fails. Either way, Grizzard might be promoted to OC.

OL coach is a downgrade, it would have been no matter who they hired. The new coaches have a LOT of work to do: change the scheme, build relationship with veteran players coming off a frustrating year, earn trust after Stoutland left, co-exist with Nick and Howie, and deal with being immediately in the hot seat in a tough town for media and fans.

Fasten your seatbelt.

RIP Robert Duvall.

It looks like your proposal is essentially a deal at around $30 million AAV for Carter and $23 million for Davis? Those deals seem much lower than what their market would be.

I don't remember who was praying to get Evans

I traveled a lot for work and also for pleasure. (Still do the latter.). I have been in all fifty states. The only one I did not drive through was Alaska, where I saw everywhere the Alaskan Railroad went and rented a car for around Anchorage and Fairbanks areas. I try local foods a bunch but have a habit of eating TexMex, NuMex regularly. Absolute worst was in West Virginia. Burrito was basically browned ground beef in a tortilla. No spices, peppers or beans. White rice. Should have known while I was waiting for my margarita (which I doubt had any tequila in it) and eating the chips and "salsa”. The "salsa” tasted like watered down ketchup. I say ketchup because it was sweet. Ketchup has added sugar and tomato sauce doesn’t. I basically took a bite out of the burrito, said no, paid my bill and left.

(Eaten at CiCi’s in Paris Tx. That Fazoli’s must be awful to beat out CiCi’s for bad. FIL liked but I suspect for the buffet price. Then again, he likes Hunt Brothers Pizza. Ugh. Ate a White Castle once as a kid. I am surprised they still exist.)

Speaking of buffets, in HS, there was a Pizza Hut close to my school. While we had a smoking area, this was before leaving campus was allowed. We got twenty minutes for lunch with two five minute breaks on each end to get to and from class. My best friend and I would run to whichever car we were driving in that day drive to the lunch buffet, order a pitcher of beer (fake IDs, still have mine, a Louisiana "drivers license”) basically devour about a large pizza between us and drowned that pitcher. Paid our bill when the pitcher arrived. Rush out, with time to stop at a Utotem (now owned by Circle K) for Tums for my friend, sneak back on campus and usually make it to class on time. There may or may not have been a doobie smoked on the way to and from the Hut. Texas had/has such archaic weed laws, I won’t admit the positive to this day.
