Thursday at 01:01 AM4 days He was not an overall negative. Defenses have to account for him and he still had over 1,000 yards even though he had a down year. But everyone had a down year. Several OL has worse seasons than he did and I’d argue Hurts had a worse season than he did too. The coaches certainly had worse seasons than Brown. But he’s the best WR in Eagles history who cares about this one season. It’s over and done with.

AJ made this all way bigger than he needed to so I don’t feel bad if he’s under a microscope after the fact. He should be held accountable for what he created. There’s also ways to go about complaining about the offense. Mailata complained nearly every week but said players need to execute or do better getting to the line. DeVonta Smith complained but said he and others need to execute and get on the same page. AJ Brown is the guy who played Madden on a stream, forced the ball to himself while giving Smith 0 targets while complaining about the offense. He doesn’t say the team needs to be better or he needs to be better, it’s always he needs the ball more. Thats the difference. You are way over reacting on AJ
Thursday at 01:47 AM4 days I think the Brown stuff has been magnified because of how successful the Eagles have been and how little drama this team has in general. The Sixers and Phillies have multiple things every year that are worse on the drama scale than AJ Brown. What Harper is doing with the Phillies wearing t-shirts that mock his GM and taking veiled shots at the kind of offseason he had are worse. Not saying what AJ did is nothing. But on a scale of 1-10 on the level of drama, I'd put it about a 3 on the level of drama it's been. I think his frustration affected his play to some degree, but I don't believe there's any locker room bad blood with him and multiple people who cover the team has said as much. Berman being one. He's been consistent with the take that "AJ Brown may be frustrated and it's a possibility he desires to play elsewhere at some point, but the idea that he's hated in the locker room couldn't be farther from the truth, he's one of the most popular players on the that team."

Its just outside noise. If you go back to Jordan Mailata's comments on being a pro bowl snub 2 seasons ago it pretty much shows you why the team never bought in to the media circus surrounding AJ Brown. Which goes hand in hand with Kelce recently pointing out how the locker room still seems to love him in spite of everything.
Thursday at 02:24 AM4 days Pitts likely out of their price range. Goedert coming back helps the cap too I think that’s most realistic

The team can feel how they want. The coaches and FO can feel how they want. The Eagles could love AJ Brown. AJ Browns actions for multiple years have indicated he’s not happy which is the reason there is outside noise. This isn’t that deep.

Thursday at 03:11 AM4 days I was the leader of the draft Kyle Pitts clubhouse. Signing him would be a waste of money. They need to focus on keeping the young defense together. There are more than enough mid-level TE available in FA, and it's another solid TE draft. Pitts is going to command a serious contract. Can't do it.

The same guy who reported all the Wentz stuff that people take as gospel reported AJ asked for a trade multiple times. I find it hypocritical to pick and choose what you believe from reports based on your own personal feelings about the player. Not you specifically. AJ also added to the drama less than a week after winning a title. He’s the one that said winning a title wasn’t satisfying but what drives him is dominating his opponent. It’s not just him complaining about this year either. It’s been a reoccurring theme every year. For the record, I don’t hate him or think there’s no chance he’s on the team next year. I just think the narrative there’s no chance he’s traded and all the smoke is completely made up with no basis at all by the media is ridiculous.
