Is this like the official official one because I thought it was announced he was returning like 2 or weeks or something?

He's obviously dealing with his mental health issues in his own way, which is fine, but AJ's antics are tolerable so long as he remains dominant on the field. The longer it continues to negatively impact what he does on the field, it's perfectly fair to question when the juice is no longer worth the squeeze.

I am not sure what mental health issues he has. I don't think there's been anything erratic about his behavior.

Depending on what happens in free agency I think the Eagles will be looking at OT (Lane successor), WR (AJ Brown successor), TE (Goedert successor) and EDGE in the draft. Regardless on anyone's opinion of AJ Brown's current value to the team, it's hard to imagine him as a long-term fixture at this point.

IOL is also a big wildcard with Dickerson and Jurgens. I think they both rebound in 2026, but their long-term future is unclear.

OL is our number 1 need. Jurgens going to Columbia for medical treatment isn't a great sign about the condition of his back. I expect Dickerson is going to be limited in some form next season. TE and WR are behind those two. I do think WR may warrant a first round pick over OG just because there are likely talented IOL players available later in the draft.

2022: About to go to the NFFCG

With 5:11 remaining in the game and the Eagles leading 31-7, television cameras showed coach Nick Sirianni talking to Brown on the bench. Sirianni indicated afterward that Brown, who had three catches for 22 yards on six targets against New York, was frustrated over a lack of touches.

2023:

Also 2023:

Philadelphia Eagles wide receiver A.J. Brown appeared frustrated with quarterback Jalen Hurts on the sidelines before they rallied past the Chiefs for a 21-17 win in the Super Bowl rematch on "Monday Night Football.” After the play, cameras captured Brown looking animated while he flailed his arms in the air. Hurts seemed unamused. Meanwhile, wide receiver DeVonta Smith appeared to intervene.

2024: A Super Bowl season with a 2k rusher, Browns complaining about passing and lack of targets again. Brandon Graham publicly says there is tension between Brown Hurts. Reading a book on a sideline. All the other twitter stuff he did.

2025: the whole season.

I'm not saying every year was as bad as 2025 but there were multiple seasons everyone saw him being frustrated about something. And as every year went by it has snowballed into more and more. So of course the outside noise is only going to get louder.

Getting emotional on the sidelines and expressing frustration is part of football. I prefer to wait until we get reports that he is eating lunch in the parking lot.

Not to the point of someone needing to intervene every single time

A.J. Brown Contemplated Suicide During 2020 Season

The Tennessee Titans wide receiver took to Instagram to reveal his struggles with depression and to encourage others to seek help.

Worth pointing out that as fans. we are largely reliant on the TV to show an angry/frustrated/etc player on the sidelines. AJ Brown as a star "WR is shown a lot, so perhaps the perception of him is not the reality game to game where he could be 1 of a number. Not justifying bad behaviour though

I saw one example where Sirianni intervened. The reports are that he is well liked in the lockerroom. There were no real reports that he was disruptive in the lockerroom this season. He was unhappy with the offense. He had every right to be unhappy with the offense. He's emotional on the sidelines. Sirianni yells at fans.

Payton Manning yelled at his o-line. Maybe he was a lockerroom cancer too.

Wyatt Teller, David Edwards (played for McVay), Vera-Tucker, all free agent guards. No one is can't miss here or mind blowing, but I'd be fine with any for RG and Steen being the top back up, which is critical with Landon and Lane's injuries.

He has dealt with depression. Depression isn't necessarily a permanent condition. People can experience severe depression and recover completely. It's like the difference between saying someone has a broken leg and that they have broken their leg in the past.

This is turning into a strawman. The point from the beginning was he has visibly shown frustration and unhappiness multiple seasons. No one said he's a locker room cancer. No one said he can't be genuinely frustrated at times during the games.

Two positions I'm interested in for the Eagles at the draft -- WR and OT rankings from McShay and Meunsch. I like Fields and Chris Bell at WR; not very impressed with Boston or Brazzell. I have quite a few WR I haven't looked at yet.

I like Lomu at OT; these rankings have him 5th so a possibility he's still on the board after pick #20:

If that's true that Goederts contract already voided he's for sure gone.

I always thought they voided the first day of the new league year.

Pretty sure that tweet is wrong and it voids on 3/10.

I like those two receivers as well. Bell is a AJ style player too.

That was my first thought as well. They do keep a pretty specific list on their website though.

NFL Upcoming Transactions

A real-time look at the upcoming NFL bonus, salary guaranteed, and options due.

The amount of gymnastics involved in contracts is wild. Interesting listen here.

Part of me was hoping Dickerson was going to retire because that'd force our hand to move onto someone healthier

Who is that player to move onto?

Draft or FA

I don't see this as stopping them from drafting a guard within the first 4 rounds.

Only if its truly situational. And even the. It never fully leaves. Those gremlins are always lurking in the shadows.

One good thing about all the vets coming back on the offensive line os they should be able to help provide Roseman a good assessment after the season next year in the end of year closing interviews of if this new Oline coach is capable or not.
