This brings back bad memories of our use/implementation of MS Message Queuing(MSMQ)...we later moved to SSB. Made my life much easier.

I saw IBM and SQL (standard query language). Thought back to my early days of semi self taught learning SQL for running data. Back then when I was writing queries in SQL, I would close my office door because I had a tendency to talk back to SQL. Later we got platforms that made writing queries so much easier. SQL was so primitive compared to today.

I keep getting confused. Still not sure if Jurgens went to the University of Columbia or to the country Colombia.

You’re not confused but Spellcheck really is.

Yeah, I'm sure your view from your 1 bedroom apartment of the homeless guy spanking his monkey at the Septa station is much more cosmopolitan

ESQL looks like SQL, but it's more for message transformation and routing, but also does queries as well. It was awful because no one else used it outside of IBM so documentation was limited. IBM got their a** kicked so bad in the ESB space because of it (they would implement it, the client would say "we can't maintain this code" and go elsewhere) they were forced to implement a java compute node that did the same thing, but with java.

Same poster is on your facebook feed too eh? Acting like they are living the best life and found a cheat code. Dude, you literally had to pick up a hooker to get into motel that rents by the hour so you could take a shower. That's the saddest thing I've ever heard lol

This thread is all over the place. ðŸŦĢ

I don't even know what to post about. 🙄

When in doubt, pop the top off and post a shirtless selfie

I worked in Hammond Indiana for a bit in 2008-2009. While that picture is accurate, we had a much nicer view. Our building overlooked a graveyard.

The hooker joke was pretty funny though. Gotta have a little fun.

the Combine starts the 23rd if that means anything

It's the winter dead zone. There isn't anything to talk about usually from the end of the Super Bowl to the combine/free agency that hasn't already been beaten to death.

Sadly, that was a true. He thought it was a really funny story when all I could think was damn, your life sucks.

There literally is no negative to managing the cap like Howie does.

The eagles essentially go over the salary cap by spending more cash than other teams. Howie's method allows him to keep a more talented roster than other teams due to cash spending over cap spending.

The fact that they eventually run out of money is the same issue that every other team has in a league with a hard cap. But the eagles stretch their dollars further.

So while we lost Milton Williams last year, if we managed the cap in a more straightforward traditional way, we might not have had a whole bunch of other players on the roster either.

We are at a baseline, starting with higher talent and a higher payroll thanks to the way Howie manages the cap.

The people who think his method is stupid or bad or wrong or in any way negative dont fully understand it.

I agree about Howie's cap strategy. I call it using tomorrow's cap today. As long as the cap continues to rise every year, there's no negative. It took a pandemic to cause a 1 time glitch in the approach. Thanks to Swifties, the NFL has exceeded cap projections the last couple years. While that boon will probably fade when Travis retires, we know that thanks to the Super Bowl halftime show, Latin America will surely pick up the slack.

This is the 'FUN' thread. Football talk is here every now and then though. groovy

Heck, I'm so Football starved that I'm thinking of new uni's for the Iggles. I want gray pants!

My reward for learning how to access and use SQL was to be put on the Y2K team. Imagine the fun of not being in those meetings.

Howie szn. Lyin season. Misleading szn. At least there is the HBCU game on NFL Network tomorrow.

We could talk more about AJ Brown or Columbia vs Colombia, that would be fun!
