Either due to privacy reasons or because a cause of death isn't obvious and an investigation is still underway since this just was announced. But usually when it comes to athletes of this age, there's a good chance it's drug related or suicide.I know they don't want to release any information until the cause is know, it just seems that more recently the wording is like that. I'm not trying to cause a huge conversation or make a stink about it, I just find it strange when younger people are announced that way. Sucks to see this for the young man. I wonder what sort of counseling, if any the NFL/NFLPA and individual teams offer players.

6 hours ago6 hr Want Mcneil-Warren or Thieneman in round 1 for safety. The thought of putting one of them back there that can be interchangeable with Cooper between safety and nickel, would be incredible for this defense. Yes we can just take a solid prospect investment at OT and let him sit for a year, ho hum, yeah great. These two safeties are just higher graded prospects and it goes back to reaching for need which bothers me at OT. Get the higher talent. Blankenship and Mukuba is very average, Mukuba possibly below even, but is fine there as the 3rd safety. Maybe bring back Blankenship plus draft one of these safeties, now we're cooking with gas, actually no, napalm. But if Blankenship gets priced out, you can find a mid level safety. Epps wouldn't cost much at all but there could be someone even better that's cost effective. But I want to put this defense into the next stratosphere, looking at this drafts strengths and who might be "best available" at 23 or close, plus our needs, I like it a lot.I wonder if you could then trade back up for Max Iheanachor if he slips into round 2. That would be my absolute perfect 1-2 combo scenario, but probably wishful thinking.I heard DJ's pre-combine presser. He mentioned Jakobe Thomas and AJ Haulcy as the next group of safeties, not in the same class as the other two but pretty good. If we can't get a top safety, one of these guys could suffice. Howie interestingly has been in on the top end FA safeties the past few years but he hasn't been able to land one. Does he try again this year with say Bryan Cook being the best available or Kam Curl, Jaylinn Hawkins? Not a bad FA crop of safeties looking at it.

In order to be the best you gotta beat the best
6 hours ago6 hr What's the value of Rashid Shaheed? He's going on 28 and maybe he's a WR2. But there's no denying his ability to break a game open. I think the majority of the current cap needs to go towards retainment on defense, but this offense is sorely missing a game breaker like Shaheed. Does Howie go all in and get the most out of the closing window of this team, or does he prepare for long-term success and spend to keep the team together for as long as possible?

My daughter might even get to meet the player and see her medal. But I can't even imagine what that's like for the parents during this, let alone the players. I'd be an absolute basket case. Has to be torture to sit through a game like that knowing full well what's at stake.
6 hours ago6 hr People in Canada are going to be like the lady in Major League. I hate that damn song
6 hours ago6 hr Whoever missed that open net for Canada has got to be feeling sick right now. Sports can be exhilarating but also completely soul crushing if you're on the other end of it.
