Jaelen Phillips is kinda of under discussed. Signing him to an extension at around $20M per year is possible but kind of hard to imagine with Carter, Davis, Smith and Hunt needing new contracts soon and that doesn’t even include Mitchell and DeJean.

I think Phillips gets something stupid from a bottom feeder team.

Dude is great at generating pressures but sucks at finishing the play. Has been the story for a few years now

Ain't no way in heck I'm signing Phillips to a $20M contract. We need that cash to sign JC, JD, Q, and Coop. I'd rather sign Nakobe than Phillips.

IMO, strong LB play helps the DLine and Secondary.

I'm biased because I played LB in HS and College. 🏈😎

Said it before, if they give Phillips that kind of money, they might as well have just signed Sweat last year. Sweat is $19 million/year.

I’ve been where you are. I’ve had a couple suicide attempts in my past and spent time in inpatient treatment afterward. I’m still in therapy now, and I know how dark things can get when your own mind turns against you.

Depression messes with your head and makes everything feel hopeless and permanent. It tells you you don’t matter or that people would be better off without you. That’s the illness talking, not the truth, even when it feels completely real.

I’m really glad you said something instead of keeping it bottled up. Seriously. Try not to go through this alone. If you can, reach out to someone you trust or even a crisis line if things feel heavy. Getting help doesn’t mean you’re weak, it just means you’re still fighting.

From one Eagles fan to another, I’m glad you’re still here, brother, and I’m rooting for you to stay.

Damn man thank you! Im much better at dealing with it now and know when I'm on a bad path and what I need to do to get back in track. Sometimes it's a little stronger then I can deal with on my own though. I have bipolar 1 and ADHD I'm more manic then I am depressed but when the depression side hits me it hits hard.

Thanks again for your kind words they go a long way to someone like me or maybe even a poster who isn't comfortable talking about it.

Phillips is a nice to have but may be a cap casualty. In prior years, he'd be a priority.

Between last year and this fans have to remember to not take it for granted that they've FINALLY drafted homegrown defensive stud, All Pro players. That's amazing, and what we were hoping for, for years.

So that means prioritizing the core, key players that are must haves, and letting others walk who are nice to haves.

Phillips could walk, net a comp pick for next year, and they can draft an EDGE to add to the rotation.

Yea, I'm letting Phillips walk, especially at that price.

I absolutely hate drafting old players, but Akheem Mesidor pops more than Reuben Bain more often than you think. Is he just a man beating up on kids or is he that good? He's REALLY tempting at 23, but I really don't like the idea of Mesidor and Ty Robinson being 25 in years 1 and 2.

F the Packers, Bills, and everyone else who voted to ban it. Bunch of whiners

We did a team co-location last week and at one point it was just me and a dude from Chicago who roots for the packers. We were talking football and at one point he mentioned how he enjoyed Dan Campbell being taken down a peg. Was going off about how he's cocky and arrogant. Once there was a lull I said "Eh, we kind of like him in Philly". When he asked why I brought up "well, he for starters he didn't bring the Tush Push up to the committee and then voted against the ban" lol

A guy from Chicago who roots for the Pack? Oof, keep an eye on your wallet.

Not surprised there isnt much outrage or momentum to ban the Tush push. You saw plenty of teams use it and be effective this past year.

Only took other teams 5 years to figure out how to use it.

Chiefs and maybe Ravens seem like an under

I think it depends on Mahomes' health for the Chiefs. They will be in a position to draft one of the top receivers. Mahomes with Carnell Tate would give them something they haven't had on offense for years. I feel like the Ravens and Bills are similar. I don't know what to expect from either. To what extent McDermott was a difference maker on defense for the Bills is a big question.

Can’t see Jerruh signing another injury prone LB,Dean. Can’t be that Jerruh, can he?

Hoping folks survived the blizzard. Looking like NJ and NYC area got slammed. Enough to use the snowblower here in South Central PA but nothing like the totals I see in areas of Jersey.

Eagles too

How can people argue to sign Phillips to $20 million a year when he's just as injury prone as Dean, if not more. Not comparing the position or the need, just the thought process.
