I think they may pivot to Chubb - cheaper given his age (hopefully), has played with Vic and highly productive. 3 years, $36 million with the first 2 years guaranteed could be a nice "bargain" deal compared to JP.

I think that would be a pretty terrible move. Trying to add a lesser guy for a year or two to "hold the fort" while I think that's a position that needs long term stability. I just don't think Chubb is good anymore. I know he puts up numbers, but there's a reason no one wanted him at the deadline and it's more than just money. I think he's a hollow numbers kinda guy, doesn't impact the game very much. This offseason feels it's trying to be about sustainability and setting the team up for the long term, and just adding an older player for a year or so feels like it's trying to duct tape over the hole rather than filling it in. I think Chubb would be inconsistent with what it feels like they're trying to do this offseason. They need a staple there. If not Phillips, then hopefully a high draft pick or maybe a trade. But letting a guy like Phillips go and replacing him with a cheaper, older guy to fill in the gap for a year is a move you see teams like the Giants do. It feels like the type of move the Eagles make when they have their bad offseasons, kind of a desperate pivot kinda move meant to keep compensatory picks.

This dude shows up every time you search for an Eagles topic and his insights are more basic than anyone’s here. He'll probably be surprised a few more times by who blocked him

Kevin Patullo is one of the greatest offensive minds the league has ever seen.

Also, sounds like the tale Patullo was telling Hafley is basically that behind the scenes Patullo was the reason for all of the Eagles' success.

I gotta say, EJ Smith is pretty terrible. I mean he's a good reporter, but his takes are awful.

Bo asked him today if he thinks Howie has a surprise Howie move up his sleeve this offseason that wows us and EJ said he thinks if it happens it will be more in the form of a trade said "I could see Howie trading AJ Brown for a late first, and then trading that first plus more picks to move up and draft Sadiq"

Dude... I wouldn't even take Sadiq at 23, let alone trade up for him. Let alone trade your best WR in franchise history and incur that pre June 1st cap hit plus multiple picks to move up for him. That might be the worst trade in franchise history. EJ consistently with the terrible ideas.

EJ has a tendency to ESP at times.

I'd be happy with a 4th, maybe get creative and throw them a pick on top for a better pick. Say our 2nd and Tanner for their 2nd? That's probably not enough however...

Trading Jalen Carter would be an astronomically bad decision.

Eh… depends on the return. He’s phenomenal at his best but he disappears some games and is clearly a huge bonehead

Jets offer a 2nd, I'm driving him to the airport personally.

You could actually drive him to NJ quicker....just sayin.....
