The numbers can work if you convert his base to a bonus - convert $28.5mm of his salary to an option bonus and you can reduce his cap hit to a little below $8mm. Assuming we don't trade AJ, cut MC2 and extend JD, we'd have ~24mm available (setting aside just under $6mm for draft picks, that drops if we trade 2026 picks). So the cap works.

I don't see any scenario where we trade Carter for him.

Again, I'm not going to count EVERYONE. All those guys mentioned were in there 2 - 4 times.

I counted Mitchell because there was a stretch where he appeared a lot in a short time but then not much later on in my research.

I also fully know this means nothing. That's why I gave the slop qualifier warning. But it is interesting the disparity between the skill players and also they made no mention of Brown giving kids money for a PS5 or his video about mental health.

As I mentioned yesterday he's going to be 29 in August. Maybe you get 2-3 good years out of him, but his body is already breaking down. Trading a first for him precludes the Eagles from getting Lane's replacement this year or a good CB who drops to put next to Q. I'd personally rather see them just sign JP and take care of tackle or fix CB, which I honestly feel would improve a lot on the defense when they don't have to constantly roll coverage to support CB2. Trading Carter for him would be horrible. If he was 26 or 27 where you'd get 4-5 years out of him maybe. The most dominate D I've seen in 30 years didn't have a dominate edge. They had Sweat types which JP could absolutely be with a good secondary and pressure up the middle. That's where I'd focus.
