Kinda depends what you mean leaked. I think trading Huff last year was fairly obvious as were some other trades like Phillips, Byard, Flacco.

There was a power struggle and Chip didn't get full personnel control over all football related decisions until 2015. It was pretty clear a Chip decision but Howie allowed it to happen, so he should get some % of blame. https://www.usatoday.com/story/sports/nfl/eagles/2015/01/03/chip-kelly-personnel-control-philadelphia/21222717/

I'm sure Jeff gave him the OK as well.
March 6Mar 6 @HazletonEagle Bucky Brooks said he has a friend who is an NFL WR coach and his red star player this year is Antonio Williams. He’s your guy, right?

DeSean was cut in the 2024 offseason. Chip likely caries the most blame but Howie did still have final say at the time.Shady was 100% Chip. He was traded in 2025 offseason after Chip got full power. What year is it now?

Moro is a player that we would also like to give a contract to and Ty Robinson is a high draft pick. I look at it this way Carter is probably going to be one of if not the highest paid player in the next year or so, so if you can trade him and sign several other key players instead isn’t it worth it?Is it worth it if he becomes the dominant player he was in 2024 consistently somewhere else and Davis and Ojomo don’t workout like they thought playing more and more snaps with him gone and you have to look for another Carter? Add on Robinson might be a bust as an older prospects. We have the ability sign him long term. Add on getting a 29 year old Crosby coming off an injury and giving up potentially Carter+ seems like a bad deal
March 6Mar 6 I doubt the Eagles trade Carter but I do wonder if they are as eager to extend him as everyone assumed
March 6Mar 6 Carter is a generational talent who saved the Eagles season in 2024, had shoulder injuries in 2025 which hampered his play, but has been everything the Eagles hoped for and more. DTs notoriously take several years to develop, he came right out of the gate and impacted the game. Trading him would immediately from day one be the worst trade in Eagles history. So much so I'd be totally out on Howie that fast. From elite to fire him in one move. Would be the NFL equivalent of the Doncic trade.
March 6Mar 6 If Howie feels Carter is a mental risk and doesn't want to extend him, I'd rather pursue options that don't only last 2-3 years like MC would. Get a haul of picks, get a young tackle, get a young dominant CB, etc.
March 6Mar 6 Let’s assume Mr Rickey Scoops has a good source on the Jalen Carter/Maxx Crosby rumor. If that’s the case, we better be getting something else significant. When you take contract, age, and blue chip status (Carter is top tier talent, Crosby is probably tier 2) into account, doing that deal straight up would be a big sign for how they feel about Carter long term.
March 6Mar 6 Just now, LeanMeanGM said:I doubt the Eagles trade Carter but I do wonder if they are as eager to extend him as everyone assumedTbh I’d be much more willing to deal Carter if we kept Williams. Williams was very good for NE which somewhat debunked the narrative some used about it was Carter making him as good as he was.
