They might have to use those picks in 2027 to move up to get their quarterback they want. I don’t see them trading away draft picks now not knowing where they’re going to picking in 2027. Because if they’re picking at let’s say 4 and they need an extra first or two extra 1st to move up to one to get that quarterback they want. If you traded it away for Jalen Carter in the 2026 off-season then it hurts their flexibility to maneuver to get their Qb. Granted they could give up future draft capital but that makes it harder to build your roster around that Qb and Carter.Very true. They may just want to hold all of the picks. I just think having three you can afford to trade the Colts or Cowboys. They'd still have their own which will easily be top 10, most likely top 5. They'd still have a second 1st if they needed to move up, whichever one they don't trade to us between the Colts/Cowboys, they have three.

Because the Jets would know where they’re picking at that point. And if they had the number one pick then I could 100% see what you’re talking about. I just kinda have a feeling the Jets are trying to keep those picks to keep their flexibility next off-season and trying to get a quarterback. Whether it be in the draft where they move up or one becomes available in a trade. Those picks allows them to keep future picks and still build. I just don’t see them as a team currently constructed that’s ready to trade away draft picks that it would take to get Jalen Carter.I would add I’m not so sure their GM is willing to take the risk with Carter off the field in New York. A team doesn’t have players around him that could keep him in line and structure. That feels like a very volatile place for him to go with how that head coach might be fired and how that organization is run.

The Eagles simply have way too many moving pieces both in the short and long term to move forward with a plan without knowing the situation with Brown one way or the other. If the report from yesterday is true that the Patriots are refusing to move a first for Brown he is going to be here. If you read the tea leaves it's either the Eagles or Pats at this point and after DJ FN Moore of all people went for a 2nd Brown's value is easily a first round pick plus and I am confident Howie won't sell him for pennies on the dollar.I think the Eagles and Patriots come to a gentleman's agreement on the framework and terms of the trade knowing it won't be put through until June 1st and they will then both proceed with free agency and the draft under the unofficial agreement of this trade.

Despite what the AJ fan boys think and say they can't afford to bring him back. I don't care if it was the Giants, I don't think it's a coincidence that the one game game he missed was by far and away the best the Eagles passing game looked all season. There is just too much pressure on Jalen and the play caller to force him the ball in fear that he will throw a hissy fit. There is also too much pressure on everyone that if he becomes unhappy he will straight up quit on the team like he did in the playoff game. Maybe I'm silly, but I don't want my 33 year old first time play calling OC to have to worry about this crap. Also, for anyone who thinks for whatever reason that AJ will be different and happy moving forward you are a gullible fool. This is the same guy who a day after winning the SB said it didn't make him happy. There is literally no pleasing this guy and he is just way to unpredictable. We got our "money's worth out of him" in the initial trade and it's clearly time to move on and move forward.

Don’t lump Jihaad Campbell with that group yet, nowhere close
March 8Mar 8 Actually looks much better inside with that overhang roof than I thought (was worried about). Feels much more open. Also looks better than Met Life which I thought it might be as bland with just the full loop closed style. Still, I saw some images when it was being built of huge shadows on the field during the day due to the overhang and that could ruin watching those games.
March 8Mar 8 New Hypothetical:Cleveland calls and says they’ll do Myles for JC and Nolan straight up. Do you do that? And if you do, do you still push to sign Jaelen?

But there was too much quitting from him and complaining while winning that it is borderline not worth the risk of that continuing if a team is willing to give the Eagles a 1st and another day 2 pick for him in a post-Jine 1st situation.I just don't see how any deal before June 1st makes it all worth it.
March 8Mar 8 If they sign Mike Evans to open free agency then I would be able to stomach it more if they end up just trading AJ for just something like a 2nd and a 3rd after June 1st.

Unless you can get him to spit on you.I don’t like the idea of trading JC, but if the Raiders are offering a 2027 1st+, Howie may have a hard time saying no. That could likely be a top 3-5 overall pick

I’m guess howies gonna pick up the phone if somebody’s calling. Hypothetically the Cincinnati Bengals could call and say hey we’ll trade you our first round pick this year, a second round in 2027 that could become a first based off his production and Tee Higgins. If they’re gonna offer me something ridiculously crazy I’m gonna listen to it. But I’m not trading him unless I get something crazy.I’ve said this before I think anybody on the team is tradable. Felt this way about Aj during the season last year. Especially with Howie as the one making the deals. Heck i think the eagles would listen to deal on hurts, mailata and even mitchell if they were offered something ridiculous.I would drive Carter to Cincinnati myself if that was the Bengals offer. I’d have to insist on driving because if Carter is driving I’d likely end up dead.

But yes - he’s probably the single most game-influencing non-QB player in the NFL. That would be much less than what the Cowboys got for Micah P. Nolan is a great guy but doesn’t have the consistent impact - Carter can disappear for stretches. Myles is always flashing and plays all 4 DL incredibly.

If Fangio doesn’t think he’s really making that 2 1sts kind of impact and shrugs his shoulder when Howie asks if they need to keep him, that would say a lot. As with Baun and Jaelen, He knows who he wantsCould also all be nonsense and Howie won’t entertain any call for less than 3 1’s, but just food for thought
