Get Greenard, he's better than Phillips and plays the run better than Hendrickson. All around strong DE. Throw them a 3rd if you must, F it.

The only issue is he's going to be 29 in May. Phillips is 26.

Yikes

I assume the Eagles don't have much restructure room on Hurts considering they are trying to maintain separation-ability with him after the next season or two...

C’mon, man.

I already have plans to get blacked-out that day - pass!

I'd take Crosby for a 1

Trey had back and hip injuries last year and he’ll be 32 during the season. People called Bengals cheap but they may have been right to not give him the mega deal

4 years $112M

I doubt Eagles were seriously considering him at that price

Especially considering that he turns 32 this year.

"Smart” fan lifecycle

March: Let’s let 1/4 of our starters go, sign released guys, wait until the date our signings don’t affect comp picks. Cheat code unlocked, other Eagles fans are dumb lol.

September: Wait, why didn’t Howie upgrade CB2? He’s allowing 100+ yds a game and receivers have X yds of separation against him, tops in the league. Howie failed.

Next March: Let’s let 1/4 of our starters go, sign released guys…

The "Smart" fan understands that the primary goal here is to sign our young talent to second contracts. As a result, certain starters needed to not be brought back. This approach brings compensatory picks into the discussion.

Go to message boards of the teams that haven't drafted as well as we have (a majority of the teams in the league), that need to use free agency to acquire talent, and you won't find their "Smart" fans talking about comp picks.

I do wonder if this whole failed trade episode brings down Crosby’s price significantly.

Garafolo said on PHLY he thought yesterday momentum was building toward the Eagles signing Hendrickson. It was down to the Colts and Eagles and there was some buzz it could be headed that way, but he said nothing was imminent or anything there was just buzz that it may be headed in that direction.

Rapsheet said the Colts were the frontrunner. So conflicting buzz.

So Vegas' leverage is cooked. Crosby is on a reasonable deal, and is still in his 20s. If they decide to trade him again, some team could get a very good deal out of this.

I am concerned about that knee now. We would need to do a through eval to make sure it's ok. If it checks out, then absolutely!

And it'll be on a random streaming service that no one has - I'd guess D+ 😉

Seems pretty obvious they only backed out because they knew Trey would sign.

Milton Williams got $63 million guaranteed last offseason. That's a crazy number.

Having had meniscus repair/AcL surgery almost 4 months ago, I understand the Ravens concerns. The AcL is doing fine and my knee is pretty strong/stable but I still have considerable pain from the meniscus repair. From what I understand, it just takes more time to heal as you have to stay off it for a month and it doesn’t get much blood flow. Hoping the pain goes away soon for both mine and Maxx's sake 😅

This is just bad faith by the Ravens.

This would be a Howie special if the price does indeed come down.

I know many were bashing Phillips for only having 5 sacks last year but Greenard only had 3 (in 12 games). Was the shoulder injury bad the entire year? Also, I saw K'Lavon Chaisson just signed with Commanders. Only 26... Any idea we weren't in on him? Had 3 sacks in playoffs and 7.5 in regular season.

Hard to say whether Chubb or Greenard are the better option. Chubb still hasnt been released. Greenard is coming off late season shoulder injury and only had 3 sacks compared to Chubbs 8.5.

I refuse to believe the Eagles were paying anywhere near market value for Hendrickson.

Was expecting more like 9-10. Might have been some competitive bidding?

Premium for only doing 1 year is my guess. Had he done a longer deal, the AAV could be lower but higher guarantees. Doesn't bother me since it's such a small commitment. Assume a $1,215,000 min salary and max void years, and the $12mm would be a 2026 cap hit of $3.372mm.

Oh, I agree. They knew he had meniscus repair surgery and they knew it takes a long time for them to heal. I was just saying I understand their concerns (which were known when they agreed to the trade for him).

As long as it doesn't cost a 1st, Howie should pounce on the Crosby thing and say F you to the NFL.
