March 30Mar 30 Ugh. NFL.com is running an article proposing five win - win trades that should happen during the draft and one scenario involves us. Viking receive eagles first ( 23 ) and eagles second ( 54 )Eagles receive Vikings first ( 18 ) Vikings third ( 82 ) and Vikings sixth ( 196 )apparently this trade is about giving Howie some more flexibility for an edge, safety or tackle and the instability in the Vikings front office right now.

The draft is deeper than top-heavy.

If after, the $16M-$20M is in 2026 with the rest deferred over into 2027. It's not just $16M-$20M deferred over 2 years.I'm glad you steered away from the rest of that post. The team that just won the Super Bowl had Sam Darnold throwing to JSN and a bunch of scrubs, but the Eagles need to punt the season if AJ Brown isn't here .....
March 30Mar 30 Watching NFL draft daily on ESPN and apparenly Avion Terrell re tweaked his hamstring at the Clemson Pro day.

Explain to me why this is offense can reverse its downward trend with the same personnel minus AJ Brown.
March 30Mar 30 1 hour ago, jojodancer said:You're not really punting on 2026 if you believe AJ Brown is a declining asset at this point. Then you sell here a little early before he becomes Alshon and is worth nothing. That's the track I see coming here soon enough. Whether it's due to age, injury or whatnot. The dude is just not the same player these days. Lost explosion, concentration, athleticism and does not separate anymore. Check his 2022/2023 highlights and you will see a different guy. There is totally a world where the offense is better if they get that #2 WR back in trade or in a draft. Then it's a very dynamic and vertical crew we have that can play to Jalen's strengths. Much more optimistic than many here on the variety and diversity that this offense can bring minus AJ. AJ was a 1 trick pony at times last year and that trick even waned. Being a threat with RAC is also falling off a cliff, which was one of his main strengths. I just see a big name here at this point and not the star WR we had a couple years ago.His biggest strength is "not passing,” so these vertical threats you speak of don’t matter when your QB’s biggest limitations are decision making and throwing a football.

They move up 5 spots in the first but 28 back from the second to the third and just get a 6th? No thanks. That makes it harder to address the needs.

That would induce a bigger laugh from the Vikings draft room than the Reagor pick

They know AJ wants to be a Patriot (wants new deal) and the market is thin. The media and Howie can project "we would like to keep him" all day long (of course he will say that line on record), but think the cat's out of the bag with that one and everyone knows the deal. There's no being sly here.better a year too soon, than a year too late

Very disappointed in how Howie has elected to attack one of the most important positions in football. Even IF they draft an edge rusher at 23 the chances of that player coming in and having an immediate high level impact aren't very high.

March 31Mar 31 Phillies have been tearing the cover off the ball so far this season; three guys hitting over .200 — maybe the strategy of adding nobody isn’t going to pan out.

I keep hearing people say "be patient, it's early," but that isn't the case. We have seen this story before for several seasons and the GM refuses to do anything to change the team. Thompson will probably be the scapegoat if things continue to spiral which I am not opposed to but until that country club looking "good club" overrated hack is gone nothing will change. Sadly they have now wasted multiple years where they had a window to do something so it probably doesn't matter.
March 31Mar 31 Bryce Harper with a shiny .091 batting average. Think we may have seen his best here. All downhill from here. Better look into the Yankees on this one before it's too late. One move I do agree with is the Phillies not extending him (as a reward and being somewhat underpaid at the time), when they could have been overzealous a couple of years ago with that 1 amazing playoff performance. Father time rarely loses. Get what you can here. Also, Taijuan walker is a stiff and should have been Castellanos'd this offseason, if not last offseason.
March 31Mar 31 The Phillies are operating at the ceiling of what they are willing to pay for payroll. Much like the Eagles offense, which is locked into every single player...you can't do anything about it except change the voice. Phillies will fire Topper at some point this year to change the only thing they can.

Listen, I love JT Realumuto but he is cooked and bringing him back was dumb enough but to do for multiple years at the money they gave him is beyond dumb. Signing a guy like Garcia who has sucked for two straight seasons prior for the same money they could have had Bader for was also dumb. Counting on a platoon of Marsh and Otto FN Kemp in LF, dumb, etc etc. Their top guys (Turner, Schwarber, Harper) have their flaws and aren't getting any younger but continuing to make the same mistakes in building talent around them is beyond inept and the fact that the fraud Dombrowski still has a job is unforgivable.

Dombrowski is an overrated moron. It was obvious years ago that the lineup was extremely flawed and they needed to make changes and his solution has continued to be to run it back. The outfield/s that he has put together for this team over the last few years just goes to show how clueless he is. We are talking some of the worst collection of outfielders in the league. People can say they are "stuck with" an aging Harper/Turner/Schwarber but the fact of the matter is there were multiple opportunities to make improvements around them which could have made a big difference and instead we are stuck with overpaying a cooked JT on a multi-year deal and counting on the likes of Castellanos, Garcia, Marsh. Kemp, Rojas, and Kepler in the outfield.
March 31Mar 31 Seven round mock on ESPN. It's like this dude tried to put together the worst possible draft for the Eagles he could. Max Klare is literally the only pick I like. I hate the Mesidor pick, waiting until their 4th pick to draft an offensive lineman is just flat out stupid, and Payton and Slaughter in the 4th are pointless picks.1 - Akheem Mesidor - Edge2 - Antonio Williams - WR3a - Max Klare - TE3b - Dametrious Crownover - OT4a - Cole Payton - QB4b - Jake Slaughter - C5a - Michael Taaffee - S5b - Dontay Corleone - DT6 - Ceyair Wright - CB
