Well, at least he might have Roush right.

He had him behind Nate Boerkircher and Will Kacmarek among others, which is crazy. Had Klare and Stowers behind those guys too btw.

I don’t usually get personal on here, but your post hit me. I’ve been where you are. I’ve had a couple suicide attempts in my past and spent time in inpatient treatment afterward. I’m still in therap

Fran has that old TE from A&M as his TE4 and has Ohio State’s backup TE as his TE5. Klare as his TE10.

Weird.

Fran has always been overrated and is starting to become a hot take artist since he went to PHLY.

I guess Fran is get a TE who can block and the rest will follow type.

I think people have way overreacted to the blocking woes of the past couple years with TEs and have overcorrected their evaluations by overrating blockers who have very little receiving ability and undervaluing TEs who are very good receivers but can't block.

I like Kacmarek and if it seemed right, I wouldn’t mind spending a Day 3 pick on him to push the blocking TE3 that we signed from JAX off the roster.

Bill Barnwell suggested pick 23, a 2027 3rd, and Nolan Smith for Maxx Crosby.

Id do that in a heartbeat.

Meh - I would do a first this year and maybe a 3rd. I just see Crosby as a likely 2 season type player. Smith is a good depth player with good upside.

That's a dumb trade for Crosby. I wouldn't give up pick 23 alone, not to mention adding a 3rd and Nolan. Crosby is coming off meniscus surgery which Schefter said was a pretty extensive injury that required major surgery. Trading top assets for a 29 year old coming off major meniscus surgery when the Eagles need to get younger and cheaper, especially on offense, is just bad roster construction. Betting a 29 year old continues elite production especially coming off meniscus surgery is a bad bet.

4.69 for CB would be like in the 5th percentile:

It would be in the bottom 25th percentile for Safety:

To me Chris Johnson is worth 23rd pick and would be a great pick but I just don't think they'll be prioritizing CB on their board yet in round 1.

Its a need because Woolen is only on a 1 year deal. But there's minimal playing time available for a 1st round CB this year.

I don't see it as possible Johnson makes it all the way to our 2nd. If he does Howie should do it. That's Cooper DeJean miracle type stuff. CJ is worthy of a 1st round pick.

He's fast. Don't care

He should go by Athanasius the First of New Brunswick.

Of the 2 QBs I have seen the eagles show interest in, I have Behren Morton well ahead of him. This looks like a potential camp arm.

someone make a highlight vid of his freak of nature we discussed a week or 2 ago.

Overreacted or learned a lesson?

The fact that so many people are so high on Roush means they over-corrected. Learning a lesson would be getting someone like Klare or Delp over Stowers. Over-correcting means Roush becomes very attractive. Guy is not a threat as a receiver at all.

It is interesting seeing Johnson fall into the middle of RD2 in most mocks and sims. Almost identical to the area that that the Eagles traded up to for Dejean in 2024.

Think Johnson might be one of the best CB in this draft class. Wouldn't hesitate to trade up for him in RD2. Especially if/when Woolen goes bag chasing in 2027 after the Eagles win the Super Bowl.

Johnson IS one of the best CBs in this class. He might be CB2. CB3 at worst. Why the hell is he falling to round 2?

From what I read online, it's his smaller frame and playing lesser competition in the Mountain West conference.

His tape screams mid to late RD1.

One trade idea mentioned by Anthony Dibona is trading for safety Justin Reid. Howie made a strong push to sign him in FA last year. Cap hit this year is only a little over 5 mil. He mentioned the cost being maybe a 4th.

Not a bad idea, provides quality leadership, smarts, toughness. Although I feel like we also need to trade for Greenard which would cost a 3rd, doubt they'd trade back to back picks for vets.

I also like this safety class and want to grab one so I'm a bit torn there, but with TE, OT, WR, OG getting a pretty good safety in Reid with a 4th who's also under contract for two years and could slide into a starter role day 1 on a top defense already, might be a pretty sound idea.

Then you can concentrate your efforts on those other 3 positions. Could always grab a safety on day 3 that they might like too.

Don’t think Howie will trade a 4th for a safety when he could’ve just signed Blankenship and kept his pick. Maybe they draft one.

Everyone wants offense but our first couple picks can end up being McNeil-Warren and Chris Jonson, then Ted Hurst.

And thats not a bad start.
