But suddenly this week we got Hurst's name popping up and Boston. Two 6'4" guys.I had a dream a couple of weeks back that I had a chance encounter with Howie and told him not to draft Boston.

22 hours ago22 hr Denzel Boston is solid. I don't think history will prove he was worth a 1st though. Would be a disappointing pick for me.

But I wouldn't hate it. I prefer Fields in the big possession WR mold.Boston would be far better than Jakobi Lane though. I don't think Boston will bust, but I think hes just a WR 2 most likely.

21 hours ago21 hr If Freeling is sitting there in the 13-15 range, I could see us packaging a couple high picks to move up for him.

21 hours ago21 hr There is 0.00% Howie walks away with a first round WR with Lomu still on the board and Freeling available only 3 picks away.

We infer that Lane will retire after 2026 with Dickerson close behind but that might not actually be the case. I think Howie always works hard to ensure he's not boxed into drafting for positions of need, especially in the first round. The Eagles prioritize OL, DL, and WR in the first round as a general rule, but Campbell last year showed that Howie will invest heavily if there is a prospect very high on their board. Not sure if that prospect exists this draft.

21 hours ago21 hr Hunch Proctor and Iheanachor will be higher on the Eagles board than Lomu. Lomu is a low upside OT. Howie usually chases special traits with high upside, even at a bigger risk. I think/hope that Howie will try to take the guy who projects to be a blue chip talent regardless of position if there is no blue chip talent staring him in the face at a premium position. We don't know how they grade the OTs in this class though. A lot of people don't love this OT class and maybe they are one and think the value is better in another round. I really do think this is the type of draft class to trade down in. Trading up in a mediocre draft class is not a great use of resources.

Big time program, top recruit, very good workouts, flashed elite potential and dominance. Howie always talks about "Tools in his body" and that guy is loaded with them. Has a ton of potential and upside. He fits the bill of things Howie chases.
