I would make that bet if he didnt stink, unlike those other guys.

18 hours ago18 hr Author This draft is really weak in the top-50. The general opinion I've seen is that there will be day-2 talent available on day-3, but the top of the board is meh. There are nice players after the top 10-12, but not really worth the 23rd pick. My current thinking is to get out of the first round. Move into the sweet spot in terms of value and harvest some 2027 picks.

And Id take a chance on Lance or Hurst on day 2 over Boston in round 1 at WR.Id be taking offense in the mid rounds.I think the value on offense is probably in the 50-80 range. I’d consider that early. TE is deeper than all the other offensive positions, so I’d stretch that a few rounds for TE.

Howie always talks about "Tools in his body" and that guy is loaded with them. Has a ton of potential and upside. He fits the bill of things Howie chases.Like Proctor a lot. He started at Alabama at age 18, 19, 20. Won't turn 21 until June. Had a better 2024 than 25 but lost weight for the Combine and did very well. I would run to the podium if he was around at pick 23. Teams these days draft 5th and 6th year guys at 24-25. Proctor is the opposite.

15 hours ago15 hr He'll fit fine. People are going a little overboard with the scheme fit stuff with the new run system. Just get the best players and figure it out.

Surprising you didn't include the guy for whom the award is named for best offensive player in FCS level football.Walter Payton - Jackson State.
14 hours ago14 hr Caleb Banks has got to be one of the hardest players to evaluate this year of the days 1-2 guys. Elite athletic and size profile. Multiple foot surgeries. Dominant senior bowl. God awful tackling, especially for the biggest man on the field. Good luck scouts.

This doesn’t deserve any further response.”And Russini told us, "The photos don’t represent the group of six people who were hanging out during the day. Like most journalists in the NFL, reporters interact with sources away from stadiums and other venues.”Steven Ginsberg, executive editor of the Athletic, said: "These photos are misleading and lack essential context. These were public interactions in front of many people. Dianna is a premier journalist covering the NFL and we’re proud to have her at the Athletic.”
