Allar is still in college. At that point in Hurts' career he was benched, instead of playing for championships.

Hurts developed in to a clutch QB and unfortunately lost that gene this season.

Remains to be seen if Allar develops that, or even just becomes a good QB in general instead of being the guy who brings a bucket of water to the fire he started like Hurts does.

He came in the next year in the SEC Championship Game and came from behind to win after Tua went out. He didn't lose that gene at all this season. He had the worst OC in the league and had AJ half assing it out there when Jalen delivered catchable balls in clutch moments of the games and AJ either quit on the routes or dropped the ball.

I have no doubt about Allar not being a good NFL QB. Same thing about Pickett who you were all over coming out of college. Although his issue wasn't due to a lacking clutch gene, just a guy who was red flag for being terrible every season of his College career until this 5th year.
