Howie has no leverage whatsoever. Brown wants out, they want him gone. They just drafted a WR in the first round, a receiving TE in round 2, and trade for Wicks and signed Hollywood. There is only one team who wants Brown. You guys act like he isn't 29 coming off of a down year. Howie will be lucky to get a first round pick without including a 3rd or 4th back. All of this stuff about getting a first, plus, is pie in the sky, even for Howie. I get it too because I used to think we were getting a 3rd next year and a 1st in 2028 but it just isn't realistic.

You just burst my bubble, I’ve been falling asleep for weeks thinking of what we could do with those extra picks.

Now, I’m not going to sleep well.

Exactly on both points. I think people like to assume the worst that way if we get less in return it somehow mitigates the disappointment. I just hope Howie swings the best deal possible and isn’t willing to accept slightly less just to accommodate a request from AJ as a show of appreciation and respect for what he has helped us accomplish. I want at least a 1st and want it in 2027 which is supposed to be a strong draft class.

Well, that’s how I feel, despite all this craziness that gets us second guessing. He’s worth a 2027 first because he’s the best available WR this year and a game winner when he wants to be. Anything above that should be conditional on how he performs - e.g. a 2028 third for a second if he has 1,000 yards in 2026.

How often, since AJ Feeley, have we actually gotten as much as we think we should have gotten?

I'd love to get a 1st and a 4th, but a 2nd and a 5th seems more likely.

We aren't going to know until the trade goes down but let's just think positive here.....maybe the reason the Eagles have the "handshake deal" and aren't including other teams is that they are actually getting what they've asked for? I mean Howie is not an idiot...he's not going to just give AJ away. Maybe the reason they haven't been actively shopping with other teams is that the deal might be a 2027 3rd and 2028 1st for example. I mean, the Eagles kind of have to trade him because he's coco for coco puffs and just a flat out nut job, but...they really do not have to trade him. You don't just let an all-pro WR out the door (unless you are the Titans and this got everyone fired down there).

Kevin Kolb, Sam Bradford and Carson Wentz deals ring a bell for starters?

I suspect the deal was made with the Pats some time ago and as NYE says - hopefully that means that Howie is happy and he got at least a first.

Pats really need a number 1 WR. They have little shot of going anywhere with their current group.

I think we can be cautiously optimistic.

So that's three. In a bunch of years.

The problem isn't what Howie's doing. He's the best. The problem is we have no actual information. Opinions are typically based on media hype, and expectations often outpace reality.

If we end up with less than expected, I'll be frustrated but not surprised.

We will get something. There are likely multiple bidders.

I would just give him away for free. I'm done with him.

Howie will get something. It doesn't matter to me what we get back.

Later, I will enjoy using whatever picks we get.

That's bc we were a QB factory. Now looks like they're trying to be a WR factory

I'm still in denial. I think he stays. 🤷🏻‍♂️

I agree

I can't see Howie budging for less than 1st round pick value. I agree with others that he'll keep AJ on the roster if he needs to.

I understand the selections of Makai Lemon and Eli Stowers make it seem like an AJ trade is a forgone conclusion, but I can see a realistic scenario in which AJ stays. Dallas Goedert is only back on a 1 year deal, so it makes sense to bring in a potential replacement this year.

Lemon is not the biggest WR prospect and with his skill set, he would make sense as a slot WR with us. He ran 75% of his routes at USC from the slot. Not to say that he can't play on the outside in the NFL, but Lemon could theoretically co-exist with AJB and still get meaningful playing time as a rookie

I saw a report somewhere that the Jaguars are potentially interested and Brian Thomas Jr. could be a part of the trade package coming off a down year. That's the type of savvy move I can see Howie making if the report is true.

Chiefs are another intriguing possibility with Rashee Rice dealing with his ongoing legal troubles and his availability for the season questionable.

It's going to be fun to watch the sideshow he ultimately brings to some other team. 🍿

@time2rock Should start an official "Brown trade prediction" thread, master of the draft style P

Predict:
A: Does he get traded
B: To what team

C: What will the actual trade be (picks involved, players, etc)

A: Yes
B: Patriots

C: Brown for a 2027 3rd, 2028 1st

Though I do wonder if there is another team secretly involved. I still think the Rams would be interested...they were rumored to be earlier this offseason and they bypassed Lemon in the draft (whom most people thought they would take him). Rams are the "F them picks" team, right? Though the Eagles would definitely rather not trade Brown to a top NFC contender, if the Rams' offer was significantly better, how would you say no?

A Yes

B Patriots (already agreed)

C Either a 2027 first and 2028 conditional fourth (rising to a third if certain incentives are hit next year), or a 2028 first and a 2027 conditional third, rising to a second if certain incentives are met.

So reports are the deal isn't in the bag. doesn't seem like the Eagles have and leverage, which is really rare for Howie.

Are any of these reasonable options.

Would we accept a 2 and a 5? From the Pats

Are you in on a 2028 #1?

Would we accept one of Cleveland's safeties, Delpt or Harrison, and a 2?

How about the Charges, Derwin James and a 2?

What could the Chiefs offer in light of the Rasheed Rice situartion? They don't have any safeties to offer, so it would have to be draft picks.
