So you are seeing a measurable difference (such as heart rate) with it?

Oh, one more feature on the adjustable frame that was an afterthought that I used this weekend: Massager.   You can set the head, foot or both  to vibrate and it does this up and down pulsating thing.  On Saturday I was swinging a hammer for about 5 hours busting up a tile floor and at the end of the day I was in pretty rough shape.  Turned it on and it definitely helped.

It also lights up underneath with the push of a button. Pointless I thought until I accidently dropped my phone at 2 am while battling insomnia.  Used it instead of turning on my bedside lamp and risk waking up schmoopie.

Well I don't wear my watch to bed so I never knew what my HR was before.  Seeing a huge difference in how I feel when getting out of bed, and much less tossing and turning.  It used to be I would have to switch positions constantly throughout the night due to my lower back being sore, and then when I woke up I was like the tin man without oil for the first 10-15 minutes after getting out of bed   Last night, from when I fell asleep, I didn't toss/turn a single time until my alarm went off this morning.

Not gonna lie though - the massage thing sounds pretty amazing

Just got back from my mother's oncologist. They're really happy with the results of her latest CT Scan. All of the cancer has reduced a little. So a really good report.

  • Proud of this girl.  Eleventy billion push ups, sit ups, squats, mountain climbers, jumping jacks, planks, combinations, self defenses and weapon katas later in the cold and wind she earned her black

  • I was diagnosed with Thyroid cancer in November. They removed my thyroid gland right before Thanksgiving. Post surgical blood test showed a thyroid globulin number of a 6, which is above the threshold

sounds just like the adjustable base we have...light & massage functions. we actually have a split king bed so it's 2 adjustable frames pushed together...works well since i like my head raised but the wife does not.

so if we ever have a sleepover, you guys will be comfortable in a familiar bed. :-)

Write me a story about Paco and Binky having a sleepover at Hunt and his wife's house, and using their similarly functioning adjustable bed

ChatGPT said:
Paco and Binky were buzzing with excitement as they headed over to Hunt and his wife Mia's house for their sleepover. The sun was just setting, casting a warm glow over the neighborhood. Hunt had promised an epic night filled with movies, snacks, and fun.

When they arrived, Mia greeted them with a smile. "Welcome, boys! I hope you’re ready for a fantastic night!” She led them into the cozy living room, where the scent of freshly baked cookies wafted through the air.

"Yum! Are those chocolate chip?” Binky exclaimed, his eyes lighting up.

"Of course! But save some room for the popcorn and pizza later,” Mia said, winking.

After a quick snack of cookies, Hunt led them to the guest room, which had two identical adjustable beds side by side. "Check these out!” he said, gesturing proudly. "They’re perfect for movie marathons!”

Paco jumped onto one of the beds, immediately adjusting it to a reclining position. "This is awesome! It’s like a movie theater!”

Binky climbed onto the other bed and mimicked Paco. "I feel like a king! This is going to be so comfortable.”

After getting settled, they headed back to the living room, where Mia had set up a mini theater with blankets and cushions. "Movie time!” she announced, handing each of them a bowl of popcorn.

They picked a thrilling adventure film, and the boys leaned back in their beds, adjusting the settings for maximum comfort. Paco lowered his bed to the perfect angle, while Binky propped himself up, ready for action.

"Here we go!” Hunt said, hitting play. The movie started, and they were instantly immersed in the story. With each twist and turn, they laughed, gasped, and reached for more popcorn.

After the first movie, Hunt suggested a game. "How about some trivia between movies? Winner gets to choose the next film!”

The boys were all in. They settled back on their beds, ready for some friendly competition. Hunt asked questions about movies, pop culture, and even some silly trivia about each other. Binky surprised everyone with his knowledge of obscure movie facts and won the first round.

"Okay, I pick the next movie!” he declared, bouncing in his adjustable bed. "Let’s go with something classic!”

As the second movie played, the boys adjusted their beds to different positions, trying to find the best view. They ended up reclining all the way back, snacks resting on their stomachs, as they lost themselves in the film’s nostalgia.

"Best sleepover ever!” Paco said, his eyes barely open.

As the night wore on, they started to feel the effects of all the snacks and excitement. Hunt suggested they share some spooky stories to keep the energy up. They switched off the lights, and the only glow came from the television.

"Okay, I’ll go first!” Binky said, sitting up in his bed. "So, there’s a tale about a ghost in the woods behind my house…”

As he spun his tale, Paco and Hunt leaned in, wide-eyed. The mood shifted from laughter to suspense as Binky described eerie sounds and strange shadows. Just as he reached the climax, Hunt’s adjustable bed unexpectedly creaked, making them all jump.

"Nice timing, bed!” Paco laughed, adjusting his own bed back to a flat position.

Finally, after hours of stories and laughter, the boys settled back into their beds. Hunt turned off the TV, and they exchanged goodnight wishes.

As the house grew quiet, Paco and Binky adjusted their beds to their favorite sleeping positions, ready to drift off. The last thing they heard was Hunt’s voice softly saying, "Sweet dreams, boys.”

In that moment, they knew this sleepover would be one to remember, surrounded by good friends and the comfort of their adjustable beds, as they fell into a deep, peaceful sleep.

I just noticed that ChatGPT made Binky a man  Guess I wasn't specific enough

Our frame is a split king but the mattress is not.  No idea why they sent us a split king frame with it?  All I can tell you is the malfunction I mentioned earlier tends to happen on only one side, making it all the more jarring.

It hasn't really snowed here in 3 years. I think I need one anyway.

I'd use it. Our driveway has a decent slope and I'm pretty sure I'm going to break my hip shoveling it one of these days.

theoretically it would go out every so often and not let the snow accumulate.

TBF

1) I'm closer to 50 than 40

2) I don't plan on smashing ceramic tile with a hammer when I'm pushing 60.  I hope.

Any MBers in the path of the new Hurricane heading towards the Gulf side of FL???

Captain F is down in FL somewhere, I just can't remember where exactly.

Pretty sure he's in the Cape Coral area - so a few hours south of Tampa.  They'll still get hit pretty hard - that gulf coast has been hammered the past couple years.

Ugh.

Captain F, please check in, if/when you can.

I think he got his lambo ruined in the previous gulf course storm that hit like 2 years ago. (Now I’m wishing I recalled full details of what he actually did mention happened in that storm a couple years back)
