December 17, 20205 yr I learned two things today. 1) That Mississauga, Ontario, Canada exists. 2) The buildings there look like crushed beer cans after a hoser chugged them. That was the design aesthetic they were going for, right @Dawkins 20 ?

Those buildings were always referred to as the "Marilyn Monroe" buildings when they were built because of the curves. No idea if they also dated Joe DiMaggio.

While a good guess, its because I'm trying to figure out where the hell my lush order is. Shipping label was made Saturday and it FINALLY got picked up by Fed Ex in Mississauga today. You people are slow!

Man, I just had a FedEx package sitting there for a few days too: Figure it out, Mississauga!
December 17, 20205 yr I have a couple USPS packages that have been 'in transit' from California since Dec 1 and Dec 6. Fed-Ex has been marginally better... but they still get a from me.
December 17, 20205 yr Fed Ex was given the Western half of the USA to ship vaccine. UPS was given the Eastern half. Not sure but possibly the Mississippi splits it?
December 17, 20205 yr USPS which shipped Monday just arrived with Schmoopies gift. Fed Ex is watching hockey or something and hasn't moved.

December 17, 20205 yr I'm usually pretty good about avoiding snacks during the day, but the annual tin of these arrives in the mail and I'm powerless against them. Damn the thoughtful person who sends these to us every year.
December 17, 20205 yr Christmas Trivia: What activity puts 15,000 Americans in the hospital every holiday season? I just won a free cookie for answering this correctly at a small grocery store

December 17, 20205 yr Just now, paco said: I'm going to go with hanging christmas lights That is correct. I just pictured Clark hanging off the gutters

I just pictured Clark hanging off the gutters Last few years I was using a paint roller on an extended handle used for painting ceilings while balancing on a ladder to try to get the lights to the top of my tree. This year I used a 24' telescoping pole for my power washer, no ladders. Killed my back but didn't almost fall off a ladder half a dozen times. That's the way I'm doing it going forward.
December 17, 20205 yr When the girl at the register asked me if it was just a lucky guess or if it had happened to me, I told her that I thought of Christmas Vacation. She had never seen it
