WTF are you talking about.  Watson has asked for a trade.....How do you know what I believe and what I don't?  WHO THE F ARE YOU?  I believe Wentz wants out of here too and I don't blame him.  But he hasn't threatened to sit out, yet he's the villain.  It's obvious why the media is slanting this....

Did Watson threaten to sit out? Who’s doing that? Schefter told you Watson wants a trade. He told you Wentz wants a trade. So did Mortenson. You choose not to believe it. Why is the media "slanting” this? Should they really care all that much about a bottom five quarterback?

What does everyone think Wentz could fetch if say 2 teams are interested?

I’ve read rumors of "multiple” and "several” teams are interested in Wentz. I don’t think the Eagles make a deal unless they get at least a one for him. One thing is for sure they’re not giving up picks to get rid of Wentz. The Rams might not care about that, but the Eagles do.

I'm hopeful we could get a 2nd.  More realistically a 3rd.  Probably something conditional based on performance since teams will not just assume he's going to be good.

Quote me where I chose not to believe that Wentz wants a trade.  Please, show me.  I'm just calling you out for saying, "what has Wentz done to show you he wants to be here"?  Again, how would we know?!

How are you calling me out? You seem to be confused. Do you think he wants to be here or not? If you agree that he doesn’t want to be here then stop wasting my time. Funny though. Schefter tells you all Watson wants to be traded it’s the truth! He and Mort tell you Wentz wants to be traded media lies! Show me where Wentz has said any of this stuff is false. Show it to me.

In such instances it should be the one making the accusation to prove that they are correct, not for the other party to provide evidence that it isn't true. Otherwise we can all make such statements like: Jill Biden cheats on the President, prove to me that I am wrong.

What do you want him to do?

Open his mouth and confirm or deny the reports that he wants out.

Dude is showing that his head is screwed up with this no communication BS.

Juice ain’t worth the squeeze

My guess is that Carson wants to keep his options open until they finalize what is actually going on. He won't make a statement one way or the other to not burn any bridges.

That is just my assumption.

Same people defending Wentz now would have killed McNabb for pulling this same crap. Who knew a guy who averages seven wins a season, has only finished one full season, has no playoff wins, and got benched for a rookie could get you all so blindly loyal to him. Maybe McNabb should have lost more. Then you all would have loved him. 😂

I'm not basing anything from his record or McNabb or anything else to that matter, just his response or lack thereof to the Eagles current situation, and why that may be.

One could assume by your post that yours however is.

My post is only there to highlight how a guy who has done a lot of wrong can do no wrong in the minds of some.

Maybe, I can't speak for others.

Dan Orlovsky agrees that Wentz wants out, agrees that he should be saying something and hasn't even made a statement about Doug being fired or welcoming Nick.

He says that an NFL coach asked him about Wentz because he has an interest in acquiring him.

Carson Wentz has become my least favorite Eagles qb of all time.

The Eagles have made it pretty clear they want Wentz. They have fired their SB winning coach and hired the next best thing to Carson whisper Reich. They dumped a SB winning backup quarterback. They gave Carson a big contract. They have answered all the questions that have been asked about Carson.

All reasons why Carson does not have to speak, you just made it clear.

Nick said he has spoken to Carson, maybe he welcomed him then.  Why does he have to do it publicly ??

I'm not saying he does, I've been arguing that with a few of these guys for pages.

I understand that in today's social media world people expect public figures to make statements.  The talking heads in that video were arguing that, it's easy to post a tweet congratulating your new coach which would show you're at least being positive.

I don't get worked up about that.  We haven't heard from Doug since his firing, no interviews or statements to give his side.  No one is asking for that either apparently.

People feel entitled to answers, and the longer he doesn't say anything their anger grows.  People are attacking his character, calling him soft, weak, etc. because the rumors fester.

One way is to squash it by speaking or at least tweeting.  But as I've said, that will be dissected, criticized or not believed anyway.  Another way is to stay quiet and see what happens with the new coach.

What if he said he hasn't asked for a trade and wants to be here...then the new coach later on names Hurts the starter and Wentz wants out?  Then people will call him a liar, and for the next decade point to that and argue you can never believe what he says.  So it's dumb to get worked up over either way.

What matters is Carson, Howie, Sirianni and staff.  The rest is media noise and fan entitlement.  Sure, as fans we'd like to know anything we can.  We'd love to know who they want to take at #6 but they're not going to tell us that either, we just have to wait and see.

More likely it was someone like you that would have lost their mind if McNabb "acted" this way.

I personally supported Don until he was no longer an Eagle. In fact I recall having this same argument with KolbEra (y'all remember him?) in favor of keeping McNabb over Kolb.

Bottom line is Carson knows Lurie would much rather have him on this team, and I have no doubt that Lurie knows what Carson wants. Regarding him staying or going those two, and Howie I suppose, are the only people that matter. The only thing Carson owes this fanbase, if he doesn't get traded, is play his arse off next year.

And revisionist history here:  McNabb was criticized basically his entire career.  Every QB in Philly is criticized terribly and the fan base always has these little groups of people who call each other nicknames and take sides in the QB issue.

Nah, he owes more than that. Part of what comes with being a franchise QB, being paid millions of dollars, is speaking to the media. Whether the players (or some fans) like it or not, that IS part of the job.

I agree with you in principle, he is quietly navigating those calm middle waters. However, I think he has sort of burned the bridge between himself and the fans. The allegations, his play, his actions, and his silence have not exactly made him endearing to many of us. A delusional part of me still wants to think he is a nice guy, but he is no longer my quarterback (that is for sure).

He and his camp's current level of pseudo-silence may work for NFL team management, but it isn't cute and it ain't working for me.
