I think he didn’t take a timeout because he wanted to be slick and try to score with Dalton because of ego. He knows he SHOULDVE called a timeout…

Even if Siri calls a timeout, I am not convinced Hurts gets out of the blue tent in time to finish the drive. It turns out the Eagles needed all 3 timeouts at the end of the half. They still had barely a second left when Hurts went into the endzone.

Dalton as backup QB needs to get the job done. He failed miserably.

I BS you not...just a few minutes ago on Good Morning Football....Kyle Brandt just said and I quote (but paraphrasing) "You could call 32 other coaches in this league and ask them who their top five coaches are and NONE of them would say Nick Sirianni, despite all of the success he has had".....he said more but that was the gist of it....I loathe this man and his approach to this team and game....I said it before and I will say it again, I will be SO glad when he is gone....nothing but a glorified cheerleader....

Last yr it was said, on FS1 I believe. If Sirianni was to get fired, what teams would be in a rush to hire him? That is a solid perspective to look at that from.

Harbaugh got fired and he got how many calls the next day? Pretty sure KC hired Reid the day after we let him go.

This also falls on coaching, first and goal with #26 in the backfield is a PERFECT time for a play action pass..Bears were all in on Saquon...so use deception

That would make too much sense

True but at least they got out coached on both sides too, so they got that going for them...

Honestly that was a disaster of a game. It felt like Sirianni took over the play calling on offense and everything just failed. I can't say that's what happened but it felt like 2021. As for the defense, did Fangio fall asleep or something? They stayed in a loose zone the whole game. Terrible. But like you say, they got out coached so at least it's a good thing their personnel got physically dominated too. Just a total embarrassment in every way.

The Rams await with baited breath.

Yeah it was just a weird game. Deserved to lose, but dang, that was a freaking mess of a performance. Coaches and players. ☹️😣

Well, under Sirianni the team doesn't usually turn the ball over a lot, plus it's still early in the season. A number of teams had ugly performances in week 3, or lost games they should've won. I mean, we're about to play the Rams who blew a 16 point lead and are 1-2 after being crowned as the super team. So, I don't think we should be panicking yet.

So I agree… 3 games isn’t enough of a sample size to declare full panic. But to ignore how bad they’ve been and to ignore the same signs as last year is also not right. The loss yesterday was bad, really bad, but the previous 2 games against bad teams was also not good. And it was the same for most of last year. This isn’t a one game letdown game. In fact based on the last year that kind of performance is almost to be expected.

Sirianni's ONLY added value is: Tough, detailed, together. Culture. That's it.

They don't look or play like they are tough OR detailed. Didn't look together last year either.

Do your Fing job Sirianni. And don't be a passive **** ****. Your team is soft and your aggressiveness is laughable. Fix it.

And I can still feel you Fing with the offensive philosophy. STFU and stay out of it.

And Kuper / Mannion. Fix the Fing Oline protection calls, fix the mistakes, or swap in someone else for Steen/Jurgens who can do it right. It's brutal.

Siri says words. He is a glorified cheerleader, not a coach. One of these days people will

figure that out about him. Mannion? So far, its all been HYPE about him that we bought into.

He hasn't shown sheeeiiit yet.

Used to drive me nuts when Schwartz would blitz and play the corners 10 yards off, super easy quick throw like shooting fish in a barrel.

Watching spags with the chiefs hell send 7 or 8 and have his guys right up on the ball challenging guys, sure its a risk but hes dictating to the offense not being dictated too by the offense

Jim Johnson of course did the same.

While I think vic is a good DC I hate his system. Its basically a prevent D til the O gets inside the 20 and the only thing keeping it from being a prevent inside the 20 os the field gets condensed and limits routes , space, windows.

Other than that its the analytic approach that you keep everything in front of you and bend and dont break force teams to go on 12 play drives and hope that as the amount of plays you force the offense to run increases so do the chances the offense screws up and turns the ball over.

Its an incredibly passive gutless defense that relies on the geometry of the field to make defense more effective and hope the offense will implode the more chances you give them too do so.

Just super boring and uninspiring to watch, unless of course the front 4 is owning the LOS and forcing the O to make mistakes.

This season it's clear that Howie bet the house on Jürgens and Dickerson recovering back to what they were in 2024, they haven't and the new blocking scheme has made everybody else look worse. The question for this team this year was what happens when the new offense meets a decent defense and the answer is last night. Our biggest strength for 5 years has become a liability, the pass protection is shaky but the run blocking is flat awful.

We let the O Line stagnate, drafting late round projects that haven't worked since we took Steen in the 3rd three years ago.

We've known Dickerson might be on borrowed time with his knees since he was drafted, and him and Jürgens were having experimental medical treatments in the off season, so it's ridiculous after what happened to the line last year that we didn't take a center/guard with a pick in the first two days instead of a WR and TE that at the moment aren't adding anything, then we took a project tackle in the third?

The defense is another issue, the D Line is getting hella expensive and frankly so far this season it ain't worth it, we're doing the almost but not quite sacks thing again. Also for my money we have better cover at nickel corner if we move Dejean to Safety than we do at Safety if we don't so it baffles me a bit that we keep trotting Epps out there, Epps is a guy who starts occasionally in a pinch, he's not a starting safety.

Last night isn't the end of the season, they've got to get the offensive scheme properly settled in, but it's hard to see us getting anywhere with both lines playing as they are. The defensive line has tended to start slow under Vic so they may get it together by mid season, but the O Line is really concerning and you don't fix O Line in season, no one is trading decent O Linemen until they're already out of contention and by then we might be done too (although we might be in a bad enough division to sneak the post season). We were due a down season after a few years of really contending and this might be it.

Yup, and worse Makuba isnt a starting safety either.

Epps is no all star but like you said he can be serviceable in a pinch.

Makuba not so much. He was ateociously bad last night, when he wasn't missing tackles he was getting dragged and trucked but hey at least he cant cover either. ..

I can’t wait til Sirianni is back delivering pizzas.

Yeah, i'm not ignoring it and I agree that we should be concerned that this might be a yearlong issue. But I'm giving it until like week 7 or so to see if this team can get it together.
