Maybe we finish 2-15?

I know we're only 4 weeks into the season, but I'd rather go 2-15 vs 8-9 or 9-8 and not make the playoffs. If you're gonna have a year where you don't make the playoffs, might as well have the best draft position possible.

Top 3 pick. Are you drafting a QB? I am.

I agree. The one thing I've struggled with is figuring out which of Hurts/ Siri is more of the problem. I lean Siri, because he just has never shown any offensive prowess and he can't scheme his way out of a paper bag. But does it look like that because of Hurts' limitations?

We've had 5 offensive coordinators and no one has been able to make an offense that works consistently with Hurts in there, Mannion was supposed to revolutionise the offense this year and we've been reduced to a stuttering mess again, I lean towards Sirianni winning 10+ games 4 seasons in a row being a minor miracle being hamstrung with QB who can't see the field (at this point it's impossible to make the case Hurts can) or consistently hit a guy in stride.

Sirianni makes the odd boneheaded situational call but his record is undeniable (or at least it should be), I keep saying it but there are dozens of coaches that got given talented rosters in the history of the NFL and the number that put up the numbers Sirianni has over a 5 year stretch are near zero, it pains me that a huge chunk of this fanbase would run him out of town Tomorrow, we'll discover the grass isn't always greener when it happens.

Steichen and Moore made it work, obviously. But to me, that's the thing...when Siri doesn't have someone like those 2, the offense is a complete mess. He brings absolutely zero to the table as an offensive mind.

That said, I also agree with you on Hurts. The grass is not always greener, for sure. But the definition of insanity is...

I dunno man, it's maddening. Even when Andy Reid was here for as long as he was, fans would be frustrated with not getting to/winning the SB. But most knew we would always be competitive with him because he brought something to the table that helped his team. I don't know what Siri brings....coffee and donuts to meetings?

I'm not opposed to a rebuild starting right now because fixing everything that's wrong will age out players that currently still have some trade value. They won't do it of course, but if Howie decided to trade all he could for draft picks over the next 2 drafts, including some bigger names, I'd be fine with that. Sirianni and most of his staff would have to go for the new younger personnel to have a chance at developing. Some position coaches might be able to stay. I don't expect it. Time will tell.

He damn sure doesn't bring ANY kind of football prowess to this team...none whatsoever....glorified cheerleader....

I actually agree! Carter has tremendous potential but 1) we’ve not seen enough of it and 2) we need to rebuild. Carter is young but if we could still get 2 firsts for him (hell a first and a second) then I’d take that.

Carter is being double and sometimes triple teamed with a back or TE.......because the defensive ends are simply not getting any rush from the outside.....and Davis and Ojomo are drawing one on ones.

If the tackles and edge rushers were performing as expected, Carter would end up with more opportunities.....

I wish more people understood this instead of thinking he is just underperforming...

Every draft pick in the 2027 draft should be for the offensive line.

maybe. maybe not. I think ours were as blatant as the way the Yankees were always accused of buying championships, and the way the Niners bought that last ring. There was a time when you just added pieces, not half the roster.

It would be on the table, for sure. But, I doubt we end up with a top 3-5 pick. With all the bad teams this year, we'd literally have to lose the rest of our games. As bad as we seem, even with Johnson's retirement, I can't see us losing the rest of the way. But, we will likely lose the next 3 games and when we are sitting at 2-5, I'm sure the talk about landing a top 5 pick will be all the rage.

that pick would be worthless if sirianni is still here

Chances are he won't be if we have a top 5 pick. But even if he is, it would still be a significantly valuable pick.

Nah. With all the injuries, the Eagles still came close to beating the Rams last Sunday.

Barkley was a key addition prior to 2024, but other than him? Mekhi Becton? CJGJ? Bryce Huff?

Not unless it’s on purpose that we lose. I don’t want to be like the Jets Titans Dolphins or Browns, constantly in the gutter. Not much good it ever does them to get a high pick either

We are a significantly better organization than those teams. Lurie/Howie would not let us become like them.

Roseman has enormous trade assets to get anything he wants in the 2027 draft.....with 4 picks in the first 2 rounds in 2028, he could package some of those to move up in 2027. That's assuming he doesn't obtain more 2027 picks before the draft.

Roseman may not even be looking at the draft this years by acquiring these picks.....maybe he's looking to make a splash this year before the trade deadline, depending on how the season goes until then.

I don't see any way he does that. He needs to keep acquiring picks. I was like a lot of people and was in shock Howie got a 2nd. Don't care if it was in 2035. Hold no ill will towards Cam. Guy was a warrior and helped win a SB. But his best days are behind him. And even if he makes a rebound there is nothing wrong with Kendall at center. Kid has looked good.

KA-BOOM!!!

LFG!!! 5-12 this season.

Re-build this team into what it should and could be!!! 🏈🦅

1 Steichen is an outlier with context. New offense with RPO and a Jalen Hurts with fresh legs and and AJ Brown. Hurts also hadn't been scouted yet or the offense figured out

2 Moore did not make it work. He abandoned his system for simple concepts and a basic offense that leaned on a heavy run game to take the burden off Hurts.

All those teams could beat this Eagles team.

This has been a really good question since Kelly was fired. Between Pederson and Sirianni, it seems they hire lesser know/desired candidates and compensate for it by acquiring talent. They struck it big with both getting a SB so it's hard to fault it. But the point remains that the current structure in Philly is quite possibly seen as less desirable by many top HC candidates.

Colin Cowherd on his FS1 show noted that ever since Howie was essentially caged by Chip Kelly when he was HC and came out of it, he has refused to hire anyone who would potentially do what Chip did to him when he was head coach. Even if he fires Siri, there is no guarantee he tries to hire a big name like say Mike Tomlin knowing what Chip did previously. Howie may at this point need to chance his being caged again by a big name HC who would want his way if he came here.

No need for a big name coach that also wants to be GM. they can go elsewhere.

Get an up and coming smart offensive minded coach that can call plays.
