Hurts also hadn't been scouted yet or the offense figured out2 Moore did not make it work. He abandoned his system for simple concepts and a basic offense that leaned on a heavy run game to take the burden off Hurts.I agree...but they still made it work. When Sirianni had Brian Johnson, Patullo and now Mannion...eh, not so much. So the context of what you quoted was that basically Siri can't get the best from his offense without a good OC (and good talent).

Some teams in the NFL are perpetually bad because of terrible ownership/leadership. That is NOT us.

Even if he fires Siri, there is no guarantee he tries to hire a big name like say Mike Tomlin knowing what Chip did previously. Howie may at this point need to chance his being caged again by a big name HC who would want his way if he came here. It's a logical thought because we haven't hired any HC's that came in with any kind of resume/sway. And it definitely seems that Howie/Lurie have had some say in what happens with the coaching staff under the HC. Usually, a HC has 100% control over the coaching staff...but seemingly not here...not with Pederson or Sirianni. Both those guys were given a year to hire "their guy" after winning/making a super bowl and when that failed, they stepped in and gave the ultimatum of "get rid of this guy or get lost". Siri has stayed so far, Pederson said F you the 2nd time and left.

They are, what, 2 for 5 in those hires? SMH. I get that Daboll and McDaniels didn’t want to work here, but they have stunk it up too in their new spots. Just a lot of bad Coaches in the NFL.

Between that and this year so far, when people are openly saying opportunities are to be found in the offense and Jalen isn't getting to them in his progressions, exactly what part of that points to Sirianni being the single problem with the offense?I feel like fans pretty much have just had a bad taste in their mouth since Sirianni decided not to call plays and never really got over it honestly. For some reason a lot of Eagles fans think calling plays = being good at offense, and you can't have one without the other. A little strange.

IMO, he's a mediocre overall QB with some strengths and flaws. When talking about Sirianni, the question has always been...what does he bring to the table besides "manufacturing culture" and being a game day manager? He brings ZERO to the table as far as offensive prowess. Without Moore or Steichen, his offenses have seriously struggled with no cohesive plan or scheme. Hell, even with Moore and Steichen, the offensive success was more a product of the talent rather than any scheme. Take away some talent, and this offense looks like hot garbage and Sirianni is unable to scheme it up to counteract their flaws. And it's been this way his entire tenure.

Shake things up and stop trying to find the next young brilliant Offensive minded Coach. What's kind of alarming to me is how Candidates turn down/say no to working for the Iggles.Anyways, I don't envision a 'blow up' until the trade deadline. THEN you get rid of as many players as possible (3 or 4?) on 1 or 2 year deals. Riq, Saquon, Nolan, ALL of the Safeties and TEs, LOLOLOL.

Riq, Saquon, Nolan, ALL of the Safeties and TEs, LOLOLOL.The problem with a defensive head coach is they still need an offensive philosophy because if the OC is good, they'll get offers for HC jobs. We have a supposed offensive minded HC now who loses his OC's to head coach jobs, promotes people from within who have never been an OC before and neither of them have any answers on offense.I think a HC who has an offensive philosophy and can call plays is a better choice, so if the OC leaves there is more consistency from coach to coach. I think Siri does some things well as a CEO HC - the proof is in making the playoffs every year, not everyone can do that. But when his OC sucks he has no answers. Some say it's the QB, then the Head Coach needs to do something about that too. Can't blame the QB for 6 years if the coach doesn't have any answers on how to fix things.
October 10Oct 10 Great post/points, NOTW.What’s frustrating about Siri is that he seems to not know how to fix ANYTHING. The locker room speeches, if not already, get old and get tuned out by the players. Looking back. I wish Kellen Moore stayed. Oh well.

October 11Oct 11 This is the time when the HC needs to take charge and be smart. Nick is probably the reason we lost the last two games. Can’t fire the coach right now, but that seat should start heating up.
October 11Oct 11 I’m down to let mannion intern, just to see if siriani was/is the issue…But, nothing being done isn’t an option….Something has to move, Even if it’s a step back…40 years watching eagles football,You see the writing on the wall every time…there’s no point playing it out…just delaying the inevitable pushes that step back a little further…Time for some changes, now, rather than later.
October 11Oct 11 Emotions running high after the loss. But the title of the thread is spot on - and it was time to blow this up before kickoff. I'm fine with the loss. It's a lost season. The 2027 draft will be stacked. I'm thinking back to 2020 when the team put Nate Sudfeld in during the 4th quarter to tank the game in a lost season and position themselves to draft Devonta Smith. Eagles gave us a great run for the past few seasons, but a major re-tooling is required, and the front office is acquiring ammo to do so. I hope it continues to do so. This is a year to be a seller in the trade market. As much as today's loss stings, a win would have been fools gold in the long run.
October 11Oct 11 This team is woefully bad at running the football. They took this responsibility away from Jeff Stoutland and it’s been a disaster.

Have him in charge of the cap and bring him in as a closer to fleece teams for compensation.
