Time to blow it up

Ill go further and say they need a bona fide GM who knows how to identify talent. Howies recent drafts have been terrible. Have him in charge of the cap and bring him in as a closer to fleece teams for compensation.

I mean he deserves criticism absolutely! The last 2 drafts and some of his signings and decisions have been bad. But he’s also built 2 SB winning rosters and we went to another in the last 10 years.

Howie should stay in the FO, but, yeah, maybe a shakeup is needed there too, for the Draft.

Maybe it’s the PP and scouting department that needs a change. Seems like Howie’s last couple of drafts have been suspect.

This team is woefully bad at running the football. They took this responsibility away from Jeff Stoutland and it’s been a disaster.

The team was much better at running the ball when it had a healthy mammoth sized OL. The OL is from hunger right now and it shows.

People are pointing out how Jalen is now expected to run this new offense, but he’s not the only one learning. This offensive line (while dealing with constant turnover) is now expected to pass block and run block far differently than they used to as well and frankly they’re not preforming well either. Too many changes in one offseason to expect it all to simply work out especially when they didn’t even give these guys a chance to jell in the preseason.

Get rid of the personnel guys who cam over from the Jets. Joe Douglas didn't make a positive difference in this past draft and I doubt another failed Jets GM in Maccagnan will make any difference either. Why hire two failed GM's who have proven themselves substandard with the Jets no less. Lurie needs to really search hard and acquire great talent evaluators and then keep them. The Eagles need great drafts over the next several years to recover this diminishing team.

They love Joe Douglas here. I’m not exactly sure why though. People were pretty upset when he left to go to Jets too.

True but that was before he got the GM job and proved he could only succeed when drafting consensus 1st round talent. The rest of his drafts were not good. just because he was in the same room with Ozzie Newsome didn't make him Ozzie Newsome. I don't understand the affinity for him.

I am with you. But for the last 3 drafts I was screaming at TV for Howie to draft a high round O Lineman. He did not. I think he screwed up. I think Bell in last years draft is a move in the right direction, but it is a day too late. OC will have to be rebuilt next year, before this team will move forward. Lampkin at guard..is a joke.

Sucks to say it 6 games in but most likely heading to a top 5 draft pick. Injuries, aging or coaching (probably all of those reasons) there is little liklihood of any impovement. Major changes are needed. Hate to say it but there is no quick rebuild for the team. Howie should start making some deals for draft picks. The run was good but it seems clear it is in the rear view mirror at this point.

Yeah I think the Hurts era is already over with. McKee imo didn't look too bad when he had time but the problem is, six games in and STILL they have yet to adjust to the blitz, which is what every single opposing team is doing constantly. It's not frickin brain surgery but Siri is a major problem. The offense looks the exact same but Tanner CAN get out quick passes, I saw this with the uptempo offense today. I truly believe not playing the starters in preseason to be a main issue and that is why we are seeing injury after injury. At least with Chip, this just about NEVER happened with his conditioning regime and smoothies.....Again, Sirianni is a major problem and seems to be even worse than Chip. He stubbornly will not adjust to anything and is nothing but a glorified cheerleader. I watched the entire game today, surprisingly, just to see what would look different. Lo and behold, not a damn thing is anything other what we have seen all season long....this is Siri's offense, I don't care what anybody says, he is the one running it.....this high school playbook is pathetic and yet he keeps running it. SAME EXACT ISSUES and we have a different QB behind center...so yeah, what is the problem here????

Howie is stockpiling picks.

Seasons definitely over. Might not win another game. Top 5 pick incoming.

Eagles don’t rebuild. They retool.

This is what is so frustrating, blitz and blitz on every second and third down once they get near nothing on first down, that if its not a loss or a penalty which is common. Never an answer game after game. It can be called out before it happens just from watching the game but no solution.

This is part of the reason why I don’t see a full rebuild on the way, but I do see a coaching change on the horizon. Revamp the offensive line and develop some young offensive talent and they shouldn’t be down long, but the main key is the coaching staff. That’s the biggest change that needs to be made.

Yeah, the common thread is Siri. They won despite of him by having an historically great o-line, possibly one of the top 5 of all time. It's a mess at this point.

The scheme just doesn’t look good. The blocking never gets to the second level. The offense needs new eyes and I don’t think the Sirianni speeches are working anymore.

You think the Hurts era is over? Thats ridiculous. And even for delusional fans that ALWAYS have a problem with the starting QB that is "mobile" that's just a dumb take.

He no longer uses his mobility. I like Hurts in general but he hasn't progressed, maybe regressed. Since 2022 there hasn't been any progression. Just one opinion. Maybe all the pundits are right. With a superior o-line and talent all around he performs well but without there is no elevation.

I don't think any QB can perform well behind this OLine.

This is on Howie right now.

Yeah, it's hard to be patient and hopeful for many people. But there are key pieces. There are guys who are still great players who won the 2024 Super Bowl. There's a core of guys to build around.

You play the rest of the season to evaluate who stays and who goes and make offseason decisions to retool.

Whatever you say but I said what I said....my opinion is not ridiculous its the fact you think my opinion is ridiculous that is the ridiculous part....smh...silly ass people....

Well if the Eagles are going to "blow it up” can they at least beat Dallas 1st.

Looking at all the rookies making played all over the league Howie has made some terrible moves. The first and second round picks last year, hiring Mannion, letting Stout walk, getting Greenard, giving big inflated contracts to under performing players. The honeymoon is definitely over snd its time to blow it up. Good news for us is that the cowboys still stuck so no way they win anything before we can complete the rebuild.
