You have to remember that some don’t consider Russian officials to be "bad actors”…

I know that's right.

Fantastic piece on the corruption of the Biden crime family. Just unreal.

You can't even string a sentence together to defend the corruption, autist.

I'm going to regret this......

I haven't been following this at all because, reasons.  The narrative was "there's no laptop" but now apparently some laptop that was Hunters is actually there.

So, if there is a laptop, is there actually some crap on it?  Or is this a political macguffin and Hunter just lost it\left it behind\sold it for crack in Ukraine?

The dude with the cat watermelon avatar used his decades of experience in cyber security to de-verify the laptop that federal investigators have verified as reported in the NY Times, so it really is a non-story.

Here's what the dude with the cat watermelon avatar has to say about it

For anyone who wants a fact-based understanding of the story...

1. Is there a laptop in existence that has verified Hunter Biden's emails on it? Yes.
2. Is the laptop Hunter's? Nobody can truly know for sure. Outside of the bogus story about how it was "obtained", forensic evidence points to it not being Hunter's laptop.
3. If the laptop isn't Hunter's, how did the emails get on there? That's the core reason why it's been labeled Russian misinformation. Evidence and chain of custody timelines suggest that it was seeded with content weeks before it showed up with some random MAGA blind guy in Wilmington, DE.
4. During the time it's suspected of being seeded, Giuliani was in Ukraine already talking about the seeded content with Russian operatives.

There are some people who will read this and think, "I don't care. All I want to know is if the content that seeded on the laptop is actually real."

And the simple answer to that questions is yes, almost all of it is likely "real". Sure, they exist. The complicated answer is what does "real" even mean when we now know that Russian operatives had access to his email? Does a compromised email that we know exists on a laptop that was likely fabricated by Russian/Trump stooges mean that Hunter was even aware of its existence? It raises unanswerable questions about what is actually legitimate and can be considered untainted evidence.

All the NYP and NYT can do here is say, "Yes, the laptop and emails exist." That is a fact-based statement. But it's also true that real, tangible emails can be (and likely are in this case given the facts about how they were obtained and who they were obtained by) part of a disinformation campaign designed to smear the Bidens.

Take a step back and look at it from a 10,000ft view... a janky laptop given to Giuliani by Russian operatives in Ukraine ends up with a blind MAGA guy in Wilmington, DE that has compromising pictures of Hunter Biden and some emails, some of which we know are legitimate. The NYP then breaks a story and provides Scribd metadata from a PDF of a sus email with a timestamp of when Giuliani was likely receiving laptop in Ukraine.

Now, let's change gears and look at this from a "what do we know is legit" POV?

We know from the NYT report that at least some of the emails are legitimate. The emails they've been able to validate show Hunter making statements like the following:

It's a far cry from what MAGA operatives would have you believe, which is that Hunter used his influence to persuade his dad to intervene in some bullsh** Ukraine story. We know it's bullsh** because we know the meeting that was referenced in the sus NYP email never happened. Things starting to not add up for you yet? In addition Congress had been aware of Hunter's role on the Burisma board and the GOP led committees that were assigned the task of trying to figure out if everything was above board all came up roses.

So what do we have left on the Bidens that will actually cause some trouble? Well, there's an investigation open as to some potention tax fraud and maybe some civil FARA violations that would require Hunter to retroactively go back and register as a FARA agent. There's literally nothing in the story that even comes close to sniffing Joe. So if you want to get the long stroke going to proof that there's some planted pictures out there of Hunter being a crackhead then you're probably in for a really great night.

But the dude with the troll Karen haircut avatar disagrees, so you be the judge.

The cat watermelon dude unironically believes Russians hacked Hunter's email/laptop, pulled the most damning ones, and planted the stolen pictures/emails on a separate laptop and then dropped it off at a random computer repair shop in Delaware. This, as far as I can tell, hasn't been based on anything besides his gut feeling. It's truly been a CVON masterpiece. I honestly wish more people were here to follow along and enjoy it.

This must be really frustrating for you. You're seeing a president who is both incompetent and massively corrupt. Not only is no action being taken, more than half the country couldn't possibly care less. I can't imagine what that must be like for you.

Even CNN acknowledging it lmfao. Ish just got real.

Hunter Biden has not been charged with any crimes and has denied any wrongdoing. His father, President Joe Biden is not being investigated as part of the probe of his son’s business activities, according to sources who have been briefed.

But the ongoing investigation has persistently raised questions about the ethics and behavior of the President’s son and fueled right-wing political attacks. In 2019, then-President Donald Trump pressured Ukraine to investigate the Bidens over Hunter’s work for Burisma, a Ukrainian energy company, eventually leading to Trump’s first impeachment.

You think? The crack smoking scumbag dated his brother's widow.

Forensically, I am not sure what can be proved from a copy of the hard drive. There are very limited scenarios where copies are accepted for forensic analysis.

Basically, if you are not copying the original under exacting conditions, forensics are useless, since you don't have the actual data, but a copy, possibly made correctly, but not very likely.

We had a legal case, and because of a lapse in the custody chain of the laptop, it was not admissible as forensic evidence, because it could have been tampered with.

Uhh... yeah trading on the family name is something that's done in any rich/powerful family. Way to sniff this one out, Inspector Gadget. If you look hard enough you might even find one political family a little closer to home.

Somehow, I doubt anyone thinks a guy who would go after his brother's widow, wouldn't also trade on dad's name and reputation.

I hope you aren't implying that Ivanka Trump didn't get that fashion line on her own merit.

My we've come a long way from "the laptop doesn't exist".

More Bombshells? well now I definitely will never vote for Hunter Biden for President :furious:

Please remember, this all starts with a mostly blind computer guy, not able to say who dropped off a laptop, and then supposedly he copied the drive.

At least, until Tucker lost it in the mail.

The case against Hunter Biden. He received money from China. That must be illegal. Strong evidence to present in Court. Run with it.

"Over the course of 14 months, the Chinese energy conglomerate and its executives paid $4.8 million to entities controlled by Hunter Biden and his uncle, according to government records, court documents and newly disclosed bank statements, as well as emails contained on a copy of a laptop hard drive that purportedly once belonged to Hunter Biden," the Post reported, before writing that it found no evidence President Biden "personally benefited from or knew details about the transactions with CEFC," which all took place after he left office as vice president.
