So 5 days later and the Biden camp has not denied the authenticity of the Emails. Bannon says Hunter’s lawyer contacted him via Email to get the hard drive back and if Biden denies the Emails are real, he will release his correspondence with Hunter’s lawyer.

So at this point does anyone deny that they are real? I see the media narrative of "Russian disinformation” but no one actually involved is saying they are fake.

Correct me if I’m wrong on any of this.

Here's where you are wrong.  Even if 100% of everything said about Hunter and Joe and this email stuff was true, it pales in comparison to everything Trump has done (and not done), not only in office, but throughout his sordid life.  So who gives a hoot.   I'll put Trump's crimes/faults up against Biden's/Hunter's alleged naughty deeds any day. 

Let's see Ukraine -- oh, Trump was caught on a recorded call trying to strong arm Ukraine for his personal benefit.   Oh wait, a half dozen Trump associates (Manafort, Cohen, Stone et al, pled guilty or were convicted for nefarious stuff in Trump's orbit).   Oh Trump paid off mistresses and porn stars against election laws (thanks for taking the fall for that Mr. Cohen).   Oh, Trump rakes in cash for his DC hotel -- lets' not worry about ethics laws. Oh Trump run shady charities, shut down by New York.  Oh Trump ran a shady University, also shut down.  Trump is in debt for half a BILLION dollars.     Oh, Trump tried to downplay the pandemic, screwed up the federal response and abdicated responsibility.  Wait, Trump tried to obstruct justice against Flynn by getting Comey fired.   Oh wait, Trump tried to obstruct justice by trying to get Mueller fired.  I'll just say:  Ivanka and Jared.     I could go on, but the Internet ran out of room.

Now let's all cry about Hunter and his laptop.

I'd say we just don't know.  I suspect that no matter what the best policy for Biden is to just ignore it.  It isn't going to move the needle with what's happened so far so no reason for Biden to engage and interact with Trump.

We don't know -- and frankly no one really cares except desperate Trump bots, grasping at straws -- see my post above.  What difference does it make based on what Trump has done (and not done) in office and before?

Well, sure, from a pure political strategy perspective Biden wants this to go away.

But that’s not the issue. The issue is if this is real? The shop owner had a subpoena from the FBI for the hard drive. Hunter’s lawyer contacted Bannon to get the hard drive back. No one, including the Biden camp, is claiming it’s fake.

So at this point is it safe to assume they’re real?

Any non partisan person will care. "But Trump” does not excuse potential corruption by Biden.

Umm, the election is Trump vs Biden.  So if you are saying Biden is bad, what does it matter if Trump is worse.  That's the point.   In other words, the alleged "corruption" of Biden still pales in comparison to Trump and his sordid career.   It's like -- oh look, Biden has 2 unpaid parking tickets, while Trump raped his daughter.   So how does it make any difference?   Again, if 100% true -- it doesn't make Trump a better candidate, even if it diminishes Biden somewhat.  

So what's the point of all this?   It doesn't erase that Trump is a conman, crook, celebrity TV dude, who has wreaked havoc on all of us and throughout his life.  Failing to pay subcontractors, bullying people, stoking division, avoiding taxes and just being constantly shady.

The point is that Biden is doing everything based on the pure political strategy perspective at this stage.  At least he should be doing so.

I’m not going to vote. I live in Maryland, zero chance Biden doesn’t win anyway.

Look dude - we only have 2 choices (realistically).  We know Trump is bad -- in fact, historically bad.   Even if Biden is a little bad or somewhat bad  -- he still is a better choice than Trump.  Why is that so hard to understand?
