Politicians tend to vote on what will get and or keep them elected. Often times, after being in office a while they may actually lose touch with what their base may or may not really want. 

In regards to the Squad, they misread being elected as a mandate for progressive policies.

The right is pretty quick to assume inappropriate behavior from Biden when they went out of their way to ignore or explain away lots of inappropriate behavior and utterances of Trump towards Ivanka over the years. 

Those of you who are parents, have you really never had a situation where you had to shower with your kid? There is of course a time when this becomes inappropriate, but both my wife and I have had times where one of our kids ended up showering with us. Sometimes it's because you're in a hurry and it's easier to get them cleaned up with you. Or you're traveling and need to be efficient with water and time.

Nothing in the diary alleges anything sinister happened. She may have memories of showering at 4-5 years old and think that in hindsight it wasn't appropriate, but doesn't allege that her father did anything more than wash up together.

I can understand that parents can have a wide range of opinions on appropriateness around these topics. But there are plenty of perfectly normal and healthy parents who have taken baths or showers with their children (up to some age of course), because there are plenty of people who culturally simply don't have some sort of "shame" about their body ingrained for one reason or another. And unless his daughter actually alleged her father touched her in some manner that is inappropriate - which she does not do - there doesn't seem to be anything to this.

she mentions she had showers with her dad which are "probably inappropriate" in hindsight. 

she doesn't allege anything approaching abuse, nor does she even mention her age.
