  • While I disagree with Biden trying to save these idiots from themselves, it just proves what a wonderful human being he is. IMO we should encourage Trumpbots to all give each other Covid so they die o

Hardly surprising but that indy spike should concern the dems

Who i have to say have done a supremely terrible job of setting up Harris

There's no ROI on making roads and bridges safer and expanding/re-routing them to reduce congestion and all the delays and auto accidents associated with it? Doesn't it benefit a company if it can transport goods more safely, taking less time, burning less fuel, and paying less hours for their drivers? Doesn't it benefit an employee and an employer if travel time is reduced and their workers are on-time? These are just a few examples, but if we simply just make people and things move around the country with greater ease, the benefit is obvious. It's just harder to predict at an individual level.

Austrian economics are trash but thats another discussion.

as for roi? Nope aorry it negative. Huge costs minimal savings

The Rep numbers are pretty telling.  They have no desire to face Biden after the last a** beating.  The Dem/Indy numbers will turn the second the Reps cancel the primaries to usher in Trump 2.0.  Unfortunately, considering his age, I'd be surprised if Joe ran again anyway.

I dont agree there. She would likely win if they just let her be herself. Unless there are bad skeletons lurking somewhere.

but the admin should have had a plan to set her up from day 1. Almost seems like they are working to keep her invisible. Stupid to the level of baffling.

Dude, every opposition party is going to say the current president should go away. You can't possibly so stupid as to think this has any political strategy implications, can you?

He almost has to. Bc they have nobody else set up. He would be trump again easily  but i dont think trump is in the mood to lose again. He can sit outside  and just lob bombs to get attention.

Let's be honest here.  Reps took a disastrous beating a year ago.  The pain from the butthurt has rung out non-stop for the last year.    It's been great for us normal people, but no way Republicans want to relive that pain.

I'm sure Trump will show great restraint and do what's best for the party.

1000% chance cheeto would say "let's go brandon" during a debate if he runs against biden again.

I'm guessing you are in favor of some sort of privatized road system? I'm not sure if they have it in your neck of the woods and how it works, but down south its a total mess.

I wonder if a business person like say… Jeff Bezos anticipates increased revenue with things like high speed internet access to rural areas for streaming services and roads for items to be delivered upon…

There would be a "ROI” if any leader had the cajonas to close some tax loopholes.

Harris' people seem to think so too...

Quote

(CNN)Worn out by what they see as entrenched dysfunction and lack of focus, key West Wing aides have largely thrown up their hands at Vice President Kamala Harris and her staff -- deciding there simply isn't time to deal with them right now, especially at a moment when President Joe Biden faces quickly multiplying legislative and political concerns.

The exasperation runs both ways. Interviews with nearly three dozen former and current Harris aides, administration officials, Democratic operatives, donors and outside advisers -- who spoke extensively to CNN -- reveal a complex reality inside the White House. Many in the vice president's circle fume that she's not being adequately prepared or positioned, and instead is being sidelined. The vice president herself has told several confidants she feels constrained in what she's able to do politically. And those around her remain wary of even hinting at future political ambitions, with Biden's team highly attuned to signs of disloyalty, particularly from the vice president.
She's a heartbeat away from the presidency now. She could be just a year away from launching a presidential campaign of her own, given doubts throughout the political world that Biden will actually go through with a reelection bid in 2024, something he's pledged to do publicly and privately. Or she'll be a critical validator in three years for a President trying to get the country to reelect him to serve until he's 86.
Few of the insiders who spoke with CNN think she's being well-prepared for whichever role it will be. Harris is struggling with a rocky relationship with some parts of the White House, while long-time supporters feel abandoned and see no coherent public sense of what she's done or been trying to do as vice president. Being the first woman, and first woman of color, in national elected office is historic but has also come with outsized scrutiny and no forgiveness for even small errors, as she'll often point out.

I think tolls and gas taxes should fund roads.

privatized is tough for something like that bc so few could handle it.so you get crony operachiks and less capitalism.

lets face it thisbis where taxes need to get regressive and people who use the roads should pay for the roads.

you want private liquor stores in PA no?

A lot of handwringing from the Harris camp, but the reason she's unpopular is because she isn't likable.  She has about as much chance of being president as Mike Pence.

Not enough people to move the needle.

I agree. The states have just done a horrible job of mismanaging them so saying this is a "bailout" would be fair criticism IMO.

Yes, definitely privatize the liquor store system in PA. Things have improved since they did more to privatize wine and beer sales.

Could not agree more. I didn't like the pick when he made it, and I like it less now.  Should Biden decide not to run in 2024, I don't think she will be the nominee, at least I hope the hell not. Trump would wipe the floor with her (He won't even need to cheat to win).

I actually did like the pick, but not for the future of the party, I just liked it as a nice contrast with Biden that targets a demo he needed to shore up in the woke crowd.  But yeah, she wouldn't stand a chance against Trump and thankfully, she won't get that chance because she'd never make it out of the primary.

hunter is only 51 y/o....just sayin'.
